Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Calamai has suggested replacing current Italian national team manager Giampiero Ventura with Inter manager Luciano Spalletti.
Ventura has come under heavy fire during his tenure as manager of the Azzurri and failed to lead Italy to the World Cup for the first time in nearly six decades having lost 1-0 over two legs against Sweden in the World Cup qualifying playoffs.
Calamai posted, “The man to replace Ventura is Spalletti. He must be convinced immediately with an ambitious project.”
L’uomo giusto per sostituire ventura è Spalletti. Ma bisogna convincerlo subito con un progetto ambizioso
