Inter Formalise Deal With Sassuolo To Sign Politano Permanently

Inter met Sassuolo today to formalise a deal to sign forward Matteo Politano on a permanent basis, according to Sky Sport.

Politano scored six goals and provided eight assists for the Nerazzurri during his debut season in Milan, but officially he was only on loan with an option to buy for €20 million.

Inter will soon make the 25-year-old their own player, however, after ironing out the smaller details of last summer’s agreement with the Neroverdi’s sporting director Giovanni Carnevali today.

Politano will sign a four-year deal which ties him to the club until 2023, with an official announcement expected in the coming days.

Inter and Sassuolo were also rumoured in the media earlier today to have discussed a possible deal for defender Andrew Gravillon, a player Inter resigned from Pescara this month.

Sky denied the parties made any mention of the French youngster, however, reporting their talks focused solely on Politano.
