Inter defender Milan Skriniar spoke to Slovakian media outlet Cas.sk yesterday to discuss Slovakia’s upcoming friendly match against Paraguay tomorrow.
“It will be another important test; we will certainly prepare for it well. It will also be the farewell match for three players, so winning it would be very nice. It will be an exciting match.”
Slovakia disappointed in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Wales earlier this week, only achieving a 1-1 draw against the Welsh, with Norbert Gyomber receiving a red card in the dying minutes of the game.
Skriniar made his international debut for Slovakia in 2016 in a 3-1 friendly victory over Georgia. Since then he has made 28 appearances for the national team.
The 24-year-old is a core part of Antonio Conte’s three man defence alongside Stefan de Vrij and Diego Godin, with the Slovakian international making nine appearances so far this season, playing the full 90 minutes in every single game. He is yet to score this season for the Nerazzurri but he has only picked up one yellow card.
