Both Inter and AC Milan are keen to sign 25-year-old Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul, with Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte publicly stating the need for reinforcements in the upcoming January transfer window, according to a report by Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com.
The report details how both clubs have recently attempted to sign him, but the failed attempts haven’t cooled their interest in him just yet. Udinese technical director Pierpaolo Marino is already aware of the interest, saying: “We will examine the offers at the right time, we know that De Paul draws interest from big clubs.”
The only issue for both clubs would be the price tag. According to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.it, the Friulian club wants at least €35 million for him, understandable considering his importance to the provincial side.
Therefore, the Nerazzurri may have to propose a loan deal with either an option to buy or obligation to buy to tempt Udinese into agreeing to part with their star midfielder.
