Inter’s Top Objectives In The January Transfer Window Are A Striker & A Midfielder

Inter’s top objectives in the upcoming January transfer window are midfielder and a striker, with two top names being identified, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are still working towards signing unhappy Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, who seems destined to leave the South London club in the upcoming transfer window. The 33-year-old Frenchman has struggled for first team minutes so far this season thanks to the breakout performances of young striker Tammy Abraham, but considering next summer’s European Championships, is keen for more minutes in order to make the France squad.

Furthermore, the report continues, whilst Inter are convinced by the performances of 19-year-old Swedish defender Dejan Kulusevski and would like to make the investment, they understand that it will be difficult to pry him from Parma before next summer.

Therefore, the report adds, Inter are focusing their efforts on Udinese star Rodrigo De Paul. The 25-year-old Argentinian midfielder is one of the best players at the club, and this means that the Nerazzurri will have to pay around €30 million if they want to secure his signature. Although, the Milanese side are considering proposing a loan deal with an obligation to buy in order to spread out the costs of the operation.
