Inter centre back Stefan de Vrij could not hide his disappointment post-match after Inter were knocked out of the Champions League by Barcelona.
“It is a shame not to have won and we are sorry. We are sorry because we had the chances to win the game but we were not able to do this. Now we are looking ahead,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.
The 27-year-old Dutchman was one of a few players to have played every minute of Inter’s Champions League campaign.
