Italian Report Analyses Inter’s Chances Of Signing Spurs Christian Eriksen As Well As Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal

A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has analysed three of Inter’s midfield transfer targets – Christian Eriksen, Arturo Vidal and Franck Kessie.

The report begins by detailing the situation surrounding Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal. The player has a fractured relationship with his club, Barcelona, in part due to unpaid bonuses and a lack of playing time.

There is a possibility that the Blaugrana’s management will listen to talisman Lionel Messi, who told the club not to let Vidal leave this month. Inter CEO Beppe Marotta feels this fear, saying: “If Barca were to change coach, I don’t know what could happen.”

The next name highlighted in the report was Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen. The Nerazzurri have been in contact with his agent, Martin Schoots, for some time, with Schoots coming to Milan this week to discuss a possible move. Eriksen, whose contract expires with the North London club this June, has asked for €10 million net salary per season.

Spurs want €20 million for his signature, hoping to earn a little before his contract expires later this year. The idea of sending Matias Vecino to Spurs is still just an idea, for now. The future of Eriksen will be decided once Inter understand what the future will be of Vidal.

Finally, the report touches on a potential swap deal between AC Milan and Inter involving Franck Kessie and Matteo Politano. This swap is still an unlikely deal, however, due to the fact that the Rossoneri’s CEO Ivan Gazidis doesn’t want to devalue Kessie, whom Milan spent €28 million on.
