Inter and AC Milan are likely to meet one another for further talks over a potential swap deal that could see Matteo Politano and Franck Kessie exchanged according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
It remains to be seen when the two clubs could sit down round the negotiating table with it understood both clubs wish to see how other things pan out on the transfer market first.
AC Milan chief executive Ivan Gazidis is believed to strongly oppose the idea of letting Kessie, who cost the club €28 million, go just two and a half years after he arrived.
The Rossoneri, as per the report, are understood to have enquired about Alfred Duncan of Sassuolo, which would suggest they could be preparing for life without Kessie but Sassuolo’s €20 million demands for the Ghanaian, who is an Inter academy graduate, have led to them cooling their interest.
