Inter are hopeful of closing a deal for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud by the end of this weekend according to a report from French news outlet L’Equipe.
The Nerazzurri have agreed a deal with Chelsea over the 33-year-old Frenchman and are on the verge of agreeing personal terms with him on the basis of a two and a half year contract.
Giroud has been with the Premier League outfit since January 2018 following a move from Arsenal and has went on to represent the blues on 70 occasions across all competitions since. During his time at Stamford Bridge, Giroud, who was a World Cup winner with France back in 2018, has scored 19 goals and provided 13 assists for teammates.
This season he has slid down the pecking order at the club though due to the emergence of several young players such as Tammy Abraham. He has been limited to seven appearances in which he has scored one goal.
