SOGNO – L’Inter vuole rinforzarsi a centrocampo, soprattutto in caso di approdo in Champions League. La massima competizione europea infatti andrebbe affrontata al meglio, e un rinforzo in mezzo aiuterebbe, e gli introiti darebbero un margine di manovra superiore a Suning. Secondo il “Corriere dello Sport” il sogno in casa nerazzurra risponde al nome di Ilkay Gundogan.

OCCASIONE – Il centrocampista tedesco potrebbe essere in uscita al Manchester City. Gundogan ha un contratto in scadenza al 2020 e ogni discorso di rinnovo è stato bloccato anche perché il club intende portare avanti nuovi pesanti investimenti in mezzo al campo. Il giocatore si guarda attorno e l’Inter è alla finestra: servirebbe un investimento importante, da 40-50 milioni di euro, che però garantirebbe tecnica, spessore e leadership proprio dove serve.

Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz hailed loanee Yuto Nagatomo for the impact he has made at the club both on and off of the field since his arrival a few months ago in an interview with Futbol Arena.

“He has great popularity among his people and brought the samurai spirit here with him. When the new Turkish Economy Minister was in Japan, they asked him for hundreds of sweaters with the name of Nagatomo on the back of them and we sent them through the embassy. There is also a good relationship between the two nations. The Italians [Inter] have sent us one of their reserve player but today he is very important for us. We do not talk about his transfer otherwise his price increases.”

The Japanese international defender joined the Turkish giants on a six month loan deal in January and has made 15 appearances since, tallying three assists during that time.

Inter defender Miranda took to social media to share his delight at being named in Brazil’s 23 man squad for this summer’s World Cup.

While many other participating nations are going down the route of announcing large preliminary squads, Brazil manager Tite got straight to the point and announced the squad he will be taking with him to Russia in a few weeks time yesterday.

“I am very happy to represent over 200 million Brazilian’s at the World Cup in Russia. It is a dream come true. I thank God, my family, my friends and all those who have accompanied me on this long journey,” the veteran posted to his official Instagram page.

Inter and club captain Mauro Icardi’s agent Wanda Nara are to have a meeting at the end of the season to discuss a new contract according to a report from Premium Sport.

The Nerazzurri plan to offer him a new and improved deal that will have an all important increased release clause. The current release clause in his contract – that runs to the end of the 2020/2021 season – is €110 million, a clause only available to foreign clubs. The new clause would sit at €180 million and would again only be able to be activated by clubs outwith Italy.

The 25-year-old Argentine striker has been in fine form again this year netting 28 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions and as a result has attracted interest from some of world football’s top clubs. Moreover, his form has earned him a place in Argentina national team manager Jorge Sampaoli’s 35 man preliminary squad for this summer’s World Cup.

UEFA have requested to see further documentation from Inter with regard to sponsorship from a related party according to a report from Calcioefinanza.it.

The Nerazzurri hierarchy are confident that they have followed the correct protocol and have no worries about European football’s governing body wanting to look at extra documentation.

In particular UEFA are looking to examine the naming rights deals Suning signed for the training grounds of both the first team and youth teams. They have requested the further documentation to completely clarify the trade relations with China.

Said agreements were signed to help aid Inter’s financial fair play woes last summer and raise some all important funds and Suning could very well rely on signing more sponsorship deals to help out again this summer with financial fair play still affecting the Nerazzurri. In fact, Corriere della Sera report that Suning are currently working on securing three more sponsorship deals from their native China.
