STAGIONE IMPEGNATIVA – Non è per niente fiducioso Marcel Vulpis in vista della prossima stagione nerazzurra: «Sei anni di assenza dalla Champions League portano inevitabilmente l’Inter a non essere considerata una squadra top: non basta avere il blasone per passare la fase a gironi! Già sarebbe un grande risultato se passasse il girone, ma deve fare sicuramente una bella campagna acquisti, non solo sui primi undici, bensì anche sui secondi: quest’anno non aveva la Champions ed era molto più tranquilla per le performance atletiche dei propri giocatori, invece l’anno prossimo giocherà su più fronti. L’Inter deve fare investimenti che vanno oltre questo tema, speriamo ce la faccia, ma non è un’equazione matematica: ci sono club che sono stabilmente in Champions in questi anni, si sono rafforzati e possono far male alle squadre italiane sia in casa sia in trasferta».

Speaking as a guest in Budduso where he is now an honorary member, Inter striker Eder spoke about the possibility of playing with Nicolo Barella of Cagliari: “I know him, we’ve trained and player together for the national team – the words reported by Calciocasteddu.it- He is a very good guy and a great player who has shown personality both for the Azzurri and in the Serie A. I’m sure he will do very well wherever he chooses to play.”

Moving on to talk about his own sporting destiny, the former Sampdoria striker left everything open: “What will I do? I’m not sure. We achieved a lot this season by returning Inter to the Champions League after such a long absence, but it must now be the goal of the club to remain there.”

The Brazilian-born player then went on to discuss his experiences with the Azzurri and the appointment of the manager who brought him to Inter, Roberto Mancini: “I hope the Mancini will bring Inter back to the place that it deserves. With the Azzurri, I have experienced a beautiful moment when Conte made me a part of the squad at the European Championships. He brought the team to life and we had a lot of fun before losing on penalties to Germany. After the change of manager we had some tough times, but sometimes that happens in sport. Now there is a new generation. We have a coach who has won in his career and shown that he can do well with big team. He called Balotelli, but from Inter there was only D’Ambrosio.”

Finally, the player was asked whether he would every consider playing for Cagliari in the future. “The Rossoblu are a team that I respect a lot. They have always been difficult to beat. I remember players like Langella, Esposito and Suazo – I faced them when I was at Empoli. You never know what will happen in football and the market, so why not?”

After the final amendments, the renewal of Luciano Spalletti now seems to be common knowledge. Inter and Spalletti will continue to work together next season and perhaps beyond.

In a summit that took place yesterday between Spalletti and Management, a full strategic plan was discussed: “From the incoming and outgoings of the market, the renewals of Icardi, Miranda and Candreva, the cases of Cancelo and Rafinha (the former will leave, while the latter will hopefully stay), the Champions list (complex and subject to numerical probabilities) and preparations for the preseason will begin on Monday, July 9th”, according the Corriere dello Sport.

The main objective for next season will be to close the gap to Juventus and Napoli, currently 23 and 19 points ahead. It’s not an easy gap to close which is why Spalletti needed reassurance that the Club would not expect too much, as CorSport is told. In this respect, there is unity again between Management and the Owners. Spalletti will go on holiday next week but will have his cell phone close by, waiting fro updates from Ausilio on the transfer market. There is a list of midfielders (Kovacic, Barella, Tousart, Carvalho, Praet and Torreira), the need for a Winger (The coach likes Politano a lot but there is also Verdi and Cerci) and it’s confirmed that Skriniar will stay.

L’Inter di Luciano Spalletti ha conquistato l’accesso alla prossima Champions League. La società nerazzurra oggi ha pubblicato il video dell’allenamento della scorsa settimana tra la prima squadra e alcune leggende nerazzurre

MOTIVAZIONE – Prima della seduta di allenamento Luciano Spalletti ha fatto un discorso motivazionale ai propri giocatori. Eccoli: «Noi siamo parte di quel senso di appartenenza che è l’Inter. Oggi abbiamo loro, se qualcuno non lo sa eccolo il senso di appartenenza (indicando i giocatori di Inter Forever, ndr). Loro hanno scritto la storia dell’Inter e hanno alzato l’asta delle nostre ambizioni. Se qualcuno non ci riesce deve staccare da loro un pezzo e prenderlo in prestito. Ora facciamo l’allenamento per bene. Ci fa comodo fare l’allenamento con loro e respirare quello che hanno respirato loro».
