Inter struggling to get past fear factor

ESPN FC's Craig Burley joins Alexis Nunes to discuss the Europa League draw and which British sides need to take this competition seriously.

Inter Milan had to fight back to earn a 2-2 draw against Lazio after going two goals down in the San Siro. Mateo Kovacic's wonder strike and Rodrigo Palacio's first of the season enabled Roberto Mancini's men to regain some pride. The Inter coach bemoaned his team's start, accusing them of "playing with fear", but also praised their spirit.
This fear factor was born under the stewardship of former manager Walter Mazzarri and the Tuscan coach would often wonder why his team played in such a way….

Mario Balotelli wants to imitate Zlatan Ibrahimovic, says Roberto Mancini

Mario Balotelli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic played together at Inter.

Inter Milan coach Roberto Mancini believes Mario Balotelli wants to imitate Zlatan Ibrahimovic but says his career has so far failed to follow the same path.
The former Manchester City manager had both players at his disposal during his first spell as Inter coach, while it was Ibrahimovic who helped him win the Serie A title with two goals in Parma on the final day of the 2007-08 season.
Balotelli was equally talented, according to Mancini, but for some reason he has not developed in the same way.

Mario Balotelli bid not in Inter Milan transfer plans, says Javier Zanetti

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Jerzy Dudek says the only person who can help Mario Balotelli succeed at Anfield is the Italian striker himself.

Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti says he will sit down and discuss transfer targets with coach Roberto Mancini after the weekend's game against Lazio, but Mario Balotelli will not be on any list they draw up.
Balotelli has been linked with a return to Inter this winter, but former Inter captain Zanetti has confirmed that the 24-year-old is not the player they are looking for.
"It's impossible," Zanetti told Sky Sport Italia. "He's a fantastic player, but he's not coming here because he's…

After a troubled few weeks Mancini will be relieved that he can look forward now, as his team gave him much to be positive about. The 2-0 win was not perfect by a long stretch, but it does show signs that a recovery is possible. It may be embryonic, but at least it's there.
