Italian Journalist Fabrizio Biasin: “Unlikely Barcelona Can Pay Inter €111M For Lautaro Martinez”

Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin has dismissed the idea that Inter may reduce their demands for striker Lautaro Martinez once his release clause expires.

The 22-year-old striker has a €111 million release clause in his current contract and has found himself heavily linked with a potential switch to Spanish giants Barcelona for a good few months now.

The release clause is due to expire in the coming weeks and Biasin states that Inter have no obligation to accept anything less and if anything the release clause helps out potential buyers as Inter could demand more once it has expired.

“Barcelona are looking for funds to bring him to Spain. It is unlikely that they will be able to pay the 111 million clause by July 7, but this does not change Messi’s intentions,” he wrote as part of his latest editorial for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Many say that at the end of the release clause, Inter will have to lower their demands and this, frankly, seems to me to be a ruse. The clause, by definition, is an opportunity that the market offers to buyers, if the latter do not take advantage of it, from July 8 Inter have not to ask for a million less, if anything they can ask for one more.”

This season the Argentine national team player, who has a contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season, has become a starter.

He has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Italian Media – Barcelona’s Interest In Arsenal’s Aubameyang A Tactic To Put Pressure On Inter In Lautaro Talks

Barcelona have shown an interest in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in a bid to apply pressure on Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Barcelona have been linked with a move for Inter’s Lautaro Martinez for some time and it has been widely reported that Aubameyang is on Inter’s shortlist of players who could potentially replace him.

The Blaugrana club are struggling to meet Inter’s demands for Lautaro and their most recent offer of €70 million plus Junior Firpo has not interested Inter who continue to demand his release clause of €111 million is paid or €90 million in cash plus a player.

Aubameyang is facing an uncertain future with Arsenal with his contract set to expire at the end of next season and is understood to be intrigued by the prospect of a move to Inter, who are pondering a possible €30 million move and offering him a three to four year contract.

Barcelona have now sparked an interest in signing him, even if Lautaro remains their number one target and Neymar is their second top target and the reason for this is to put pressure on Inter and perhaps make them reduce their demands.

The report concludes that at the moment there are two certainties when it comes to Aubameyang and Lautaro. The first is that Inter are keeping an interest in Aubameyang so they are not found unprepared if Lautaro leaves.

The second is that Inter know they cannot financially compete with Barcelona in terms of what they can offer to Lautaro. He currently earns €2.2 million a year at Inter, who could offer him a renewal with an annual salary of €5.5 million plus add-ons whilst Barcelona have offered him €12 million a year.

Inter At Work To Finalise Deal For €50M Rated Brescia Midfielder Sandro Tonali

Inter are ready to make a decisive move to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali in the coming days according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio have made contact with Brescia as they look to get closer to reaching an agreement with them having reached an agreement with Tonali over personal terms already.

The Nerazzurri club are going full speed ahead to land the 20-year-old, who they will, as per this report, pay closer to €50 million for rather than the €30/35 million they would have liked to have paid for him.

The report goes on to explain that there will be no players included in the deal as part payment and a meeting has been arranged with Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino where Inter hope to be able to finalise a deal.

This season Tonali has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied five assists.

Inter Could Be Forced To Play In Europa League Without Man Utd’s Alexis Sanchez & Chelsea’s Victor Moses

Inter may not be able to count upon Alexis Sanchez and Victor Moses when the Europa League gets back underway in August according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was late last night.

The Chilean and Nigerian are both currently on loan at Inter and the Nerazzurri club are currently in negotiations with Manchester United and Chelsea over extending their loans until the end of the Serie A season but there is currently no agreement between the clubs to allow them to play in the Europa League.

Should an agreement be unable to be found, Inter would therefore be unable to call upon either player for the remaining rounds of the competition, which Inter have a reasonable chance of winning.

Sanchez has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date this term for Inter, in which he has scored one goal and tallied three assists. Moses meanwhile has one assist in nine outings for Inter.

Barcelona’s Pursuit Of Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Complicated By Financial Problems & La Liga Restri ctions

Barcelona are having great difficulty when it comes to meeting Inter’s demands for Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Barcelona are dealing with financial issues at the moment and are also being restricted by La Liga, who are keeping a close eye on club finances, particularly those who have asked players to take pay cuts, like Barcelona did.

La Liga are only allowing such clubs to operate on the transfer market using funds raised through player sales and seeing as Inter want either €90 million plus a player or his €111 million release clause paid, Barcelona will need to raise that money through sales or risk having to postpone their move for the 22-year-old.

The Argentine national team forward has been in good form this season, which has been his first as a starter. He has formed a formidable partnership with Romelu Lukaku and in 33 appearances across all competitions to date, he has scored 17 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Inter & AC Milan To Meet With Milan City Council For Further Stadium Talks

Officials from Inter and AC Milan are set to meet with the Milan City Council for further talks over the new stadium project today according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report from the Rome based news outlet explains that today’s meeting will be very important following months of ups and downs between the parties.

Whilst the new project has been given the go ahead, there are still some things needing ironed out, namely the volume of additional buildings that the clubs wish to build as part of their new project in order to give life to the area even when football is not taking place.

From the off the clubs have made it clear that they wish to build hotels, restaurants and shops among other things but the volumes they have requested have always been deemed as too much by the Milan city council.

Inter Linked Arturo Vidal: “The So Called ‘Barcelona DNA’ Has Complicated Things For Me”

Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal has admitted he needs to feel important and the Barcelona DNA has complicated life for him at the reigning La Liga champions.

The Chilean national team midfielder has been heavily linked with a potential move to Inter ahead of the upcoming transfer window and admits feeling the coaches confidence in him is a big thing.

“I need to feel important. In the other clubs it has been different, here in Barcelona there is the so-called ‘Barça DNA’ which has made things a little more complicated for me,” he explained in an interview with sports broadcaster ESPN Chile.

“Moreover, I have had two very different coaches whilst here. In any case, every time I went on the field I did my duty, showing that I can adapt to any style of football.

“I repeat. I always need to feel the confidence of the coach to feel important and that is what I am looking for.”

The former Bayern Munich player proceeded to share three clubs that he has an interest in playing for before his playing career is over, all of which are clubs outside of Europe.

“We all know who Boca Juniors are and what they represent in Argentina. Unfortunately I have never been able to play at La Bombonera. It would be a dream for me to do so and I talk about it often with Gary Medel. I also like Flamengo in Brazil and Club America in Mexico. It would be spectacular to play with these clubs one day.”

The 33-year-old, who has a contract with his current employers through to the end of next season, has made 34 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, which totals just under 1600 minutes, the ex-Bayer Leverkusen player has scored seven goals and has provided three assists for his teammates.

Inter To Offer Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez New Contract Worth €5.5M Net Per Season

Inter will try to get Lautaro Martinez to forget about a move to Barcelona by offering him a new and improved contract according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

For financial reasons Barcelona cannot currently afford to meet Inter’s demands for the highly rated 22-year-old striker, who they have been courting for a considerable amount of time now.

With Barcelona unlikely to have a clear idea about what they can do until September time, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta will try and convince the Argentine national team forward to stay by offering him a new deal.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter are willing to offer him an extension with a salary raise to €5.5 million a year.

Moreover, as part of a new contract, his current €111 million release clause will either be increased or removed entirely.
