Italian Report Reports Anything Possible For Inter With Christian Eriksen In The Team

With Christian Eriksen at his best, anything is possible for Inter, at least according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Winning the Serie A title cannot be ruled out and the Danish attacking midfielder even admitted following the win over Sampdoria that he believes Inter can go all the way.

There has been a clear improvement from Eriksen across the last two games with the change of system from 3-5-2 to 3-4-1-2, which has allowed him to play in his natural role, being a big factor in this.

The fact he has been able to spend a lot more time with his teammates and acclimatise has also been a factor in his improved performances.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that Eriksen could be like another Wesley Sneijder. Eriksen arrived at Inter having been put up for sale, just like Sneijder was. The Dutchman went on to win the Serie A title in his first season and it now remains to be seen whether Eriksen will manage the same thing.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Could Start Victor Moses Over Antonio Candreva Against Sassuolo

Inter manager Antonio Conte is considering making a single change to the side that started this past weekend’s win over Sampdoria for tomorrow’s match against Sassuolo according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte was forced to make a change to the team that started against Napoli as Marcelo Brozovic was forced to miss out due to injury and Roberto Gagliardini came in in place of him and will retain his place.

The chance Conte is pondering concerns right wing back. The former Italian national team boss is thinking of swapping Antonio Candreva for Victor Moses and giving the Nigerian a rare chance to start.

The report goes on to add that Stefano Sensi, Brozovic and Matias Vecino will all miss out due to injury.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Milan Skriniar, Stefan De Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Victor Moses, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Ashley Young; Christian Eriksen; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.

Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez Farther & Farther Away From Joining Barcelona

Inter striker Lautaro Martinez and Barcelona have never been so far away from one another according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Barcelona have been courting the 22-year-old forward for some time but are far from close to prizing him away from Inter and adding him to their ranks.

The Blaugrana club are held back by their current financial problems, their inability to meet Inter’s demands for the Argentine and La Liga, who are keeping a close eye on clubs finances following the Coronavirus crisis, especially those who asked their players to take wage cuts.

In order to buy Lautaro, Barcelona must make a number of big sales such as Coutinho, Semedo or perhaps even Griezmann.

The reason for this is because La Liga will not count exchange deals whilst they monitor clubs finances and are only allowing clubs to spend money they earn through sales.

The report goes on to explain that Lautaro is further away from Barcelona than he was a month ago and this is excellent news for Inter manager Antonio Conte.

Ezequiel Carboni: “Inter Kept Their Word, I’ll Meet Them To Sign A Scouting Contract”

Ezequiel Carboni has confirmed that he will be following his sons to join Inter as a scout from Italian lower league side Catania.

Inter signed the eldest Carboni son a few months ago, wrapped up a deal for the middle brother last week and are also expected to wrap up a deal for the youngest brother, Cristiano, who was born in 2009, just shortly.

Reports in the media have also suggested that Carboni senior would be following his sons and the former Catania player has now confirmed that he will be joining the Nerazzurri in a scouting capacity to begin with.

“There was a word and Inter have kept it on a contractual level. I will meet the club to sign a scouting contract and I will also take a course to acquire an Italian coaching licence,” he explained in an interview with Italian daily newspaper La Sicilia, which appeared in yesterday’s print edition of the Sicilian based news outlet.

Carboni spent three years playing for Catania and also played for Lanus, where he went on to start his coaching career. He has also had a brief spell in charge at Argentinos Juniors.

Italian Journalist Barzaghi: “Eriksen’s Insertion Going Well Perhaps Inter Better Without Brozovic”

Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi has suggested that Inter may be a better team with Christian Eriksen in the side and Marcelo Brozovic not in the side.

Since being transformed into a regista under the management of Luciano Spalletti, Brozovic has been an integral part of Inter’s team and the Nerazzurri almost always struggle when he is absent.

However, his absence was barely noticeable in last night’s 2-1 win against Sampdoria in which Eriksen made his second consecutive start in his natural role of attacking midfielder.

“I would say that the insertion of Eriksen is going well…perhaps [Inter are] better without Brozovic,” Barzaghi posted to social media platform Twitter, an opinion that has certainly divided many people.

This season Brozovic has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has netted three goals and tallied five assists.

Since his arrival in the January transfer window, Eriksen has meanwhile made 10 appearances, in which he has scored two goals and has provided just as many assists for his teammates.

Inter Set To Offer Ezequiel Carboni Youth Coaching Role At The Club

Having recruited two of his three sons, Inter are prepared to bring Ezequiel Carboni to the club according to a report from Argentine news outlet Olé.

Carboni is currently a youth coach at Serie C side Catania and Inter are set to offer him the chance to follow his sons to Inter and become a youth team coach at the Nerazzurri.

Inter have already recruited his two eldest sons Franco (17-years-old) and Valentin (15-years-old) and the report goes on to state that Inter are also looking to recruit the youngest son, Cristiano, who was born in 2009.

Valentin is the latest of the Carboni’s who Inter have recruited and they paid a sum of €300,000 to Catania to sign him in the past few days.

Carboni senior is no stranger to Italian football having played for Catania between 2008 and 2011. His coaching career began back in his native Argentina with Lanus and he also coached at Argentinos Juniors prior to taking up his current position at Catania.

Zappa: “I Would’ve Liked To Have Made My First Team Debut For Inter But Have No Regrets”

Gabriele Zappa has admitted that whilst he would have liked to have made an appearance for Inter’s first team, he has no regrets about his years with Inter.

Zappa spent several years in Inter’s youth ranks and made 86 appearances between under 17 and Primavera level, during which he scored three goals and provided 10 assists for his teammates.

He made the bench for some first team matches during his time with the club but was never fortunate enough to take to the field.

“I certainly would have liked to have made my first team debut with Inter in official matches. It was my childhood dream to do that but I have no regrets, everyone has his time,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia last night.

The young full back joined current employers Pescara in January 2019 from Inter and was loaned back to Inter’s Primavera side for the remainder of last season.

This term the Italian under 20 national team prospect has played semi regularly for the Serie B outfit with him having made 15 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, which totals just over 1200 minutes, Zappa has scored four goals and has provided a single assist for his Delfini teammates.
