Ex-Nerazzurri Striker Ivan Zamorano: “I’d Like Man Utd Owned Alexis Sanchez To Stay At Inter”

Former Inter striker Ivan Zamorano discussed Nerazzurri forward Alexis Sanchez and Bologna midfielder Gary Medel in his column in Chilean version of betting company Betsson yesterday.

The 53-year-old highlighted how it would be a good idea for Sanchez to stay with Inter for another season.

“This is an excellent option for Antonio Conte. Even the media have put him on a level above Lautaro Martínez. I’d like him to stay at Inter.”

Zamorano then spoke about former Inter midfielder Gary Medel, who is currently playing for Bologna.

“He has always shown dedication and commitment. He has already got used to things and is doing it just as well in his team.”

The 31-year-old Sanchez joined Inter on loan last summer from Manchester United. The Nerazzurri are looking to extend his loan deal to the end of the season and may ask for him on loan against next season as well, with Inter coach Antonio Conte appreciating the qualities of the Chilean forward.

The former Arsenal forward has struggled with injuries this season, limiting his impact in Milan. The remaining games of the season will be crucial in regards to his future with the Nerazzurri. Sanchez has made 16 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 615 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided three assists.

Inter To Use LED Screens To Make Empty San Siro Look More Appealing For TV Viewers

Inter are launching the ‘Together as a team’ initiative in order to make the San Siro look more appealing for the season restart, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri will deploy an LED screen 110 meters long, where the faces of fans will appear in order to make the San Siro look less empty during the remaining games of the Serie A season. The fans will be able to share a selfie or videos on Instagram before and during the match using a secret hashtag, which will be revealed tomorrow on the Nerazzurri’s social media outlets.

The average audience in the San Siro this season has been over 65 thousand, the report continues, and so it will be a huge change for the squad, who will now be playing the home games behind closed doors, in empty stadiums. All the remaining Serie A games will be played in empty stadiums, although there is still a chance that fans could return by the start of next season.

Inter Linked Duo Edinson Cavani & Thomas Meunier To Both Leave PSG At The End Of June

Paris Saint-Germain forward and Inter target Edinson Cavani will leave the French capital at the end of this month, not finishing the season with the Parisians, according to a report from RMCsport journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi on Twitter earlier today.

The report details how the 33-year-old Uruguayan forward’s contract expires with PSG at the end of this month, after seven years in the French capital. Whilst it initially appeared as if Cavani would consider all the offers that he’s received and wait until the end of August to make a decision, after the completion of the Champions League.

Instead, now the situation seems to have changed, the report continues. Cavani will instead leave PSG at the end of this month, on the 30th June, instead of completing the Champions League campaign with the Ligue 1 giants. PSG are currently in the quarter-finals of the competition, knocking out Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.

According to the Bouhafsi, the same applied for Belgian international wingback Thomas Meunier.

Italian Media Report Neither Inter Nor Juventus Prioritizing Signing Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa

Fiorentina talisman Federico Chiesa is no longer a transfer market priority of either Inter or Juventus, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs have moved away from the 22-year-old Italian forward in recent days, due to the player’s cost. Italian American billionaire and Viola president Rocco Commisso values Chiesa at €70 million, a high figure considering the current financial climate, which has heavily affected the footballing world.

Inter aren’t prepared to pay so much currently, the report continues, with the Bianconeri agreeing with the Nerazzurri’s decision.

The two clubs would return to compete for the player’s signature for two reasons only, with the first being a lower price and the second being an openness to different types of deals by Fiorentina. Chiesa, who is contracted to Fiorentina until 2022, has scored seven goals and provided five assists in 26 appearances this season.
