Inter Coach Antonio Conte Prefers Inter Sign Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal Over Sandro Tonali

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants Arturo Vidal over Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Conte wants to be reunited with the Chilean national team midfielder who he worked with at Juventus and although Inter management have great doubts about signing Vidal, Conte does not share their doubts about him.

The report explains that Conte rates Tonali very highly but feels he is similar to Stefano Sensi and Nicolo Barella in the sense that he would be coming from a provincial club and lacks the big team experience that Vidal has in abundance.

Despite not wanting to sign many players over the age of 30-years-old, Inter president Steven Zhang seems willing to satisfy the demands of Conte.

If Inter end the season well, Zhang could reward Conte by signing Vidal from Barcelona.

This season Vidal has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and tallied three assists for his teammates.

Fiorentina Hatch Plan To Keep Inter Targets Federico Chiesa & Gaetano Castrovilli

Inter Defender Stefan de Vrij: “Not Being Able To See Out Games Has Cost Us Dearly”

Ahead of the 2019/20 Serie A season resuming this weekend, Inter defender Stefan de Vrij has discussed the team’s inability to close out games during the course of this season.

Inter have taken the lead in several games and been comfortable in matches only to then end up drawing or in some cases losing matches.

The most recent occurrence of this came this past weekend when Inter took the lead against Napoli in the Coppa Italia semi final second leg. Despite having multiple chances to extend the lead, Napoli drew level and Inter were unable to score again which meant they were eliminated from the Coppa Italia.

“The manager asks a lot of us, but he is not the reason behind the many draws. We have not been able to see out games where we have almost always taken the lead. In the end we have not won and this has cost us dearly,” de Vrij remarked in an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN earlier on today.

The Dutch national team centre back arrived at Inter on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at fellow Serie A side Lazio in the Summer of 2018. Since then he has made 67 appearances, scoring four goals and tallying five assists.

Italian Media Report Barcelona Offer Luis Suarez + Cash To Inter For Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona are prepared to offer Luis Suarez plus cash to Inter for Lautaro Martinez according to a report by Italian media outlet Il Quotidiano Libero.

Barcelona have been courting Lautaro for some time now and it has been widely reported that they want to do a player or players plus cash deal for him opposed to paying his €111 million release clause, which Inter are holding out for.

The report claims that the Blaugrana club are willing to offer 33-year-old Uruguayan national team striker Suarez, who they value at €35 million plus cash for Lautaro.

It goes on to add that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are not convinced by the idea and continue to demand the €111 million release clause is paid.

Lautaro may therefore end up staying with Inter and Inter’s attack next season could consist of him, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ivan Perisic.

Inter Laugh All The Way To Bank After Making €58M In Capital Gains From Icardi & Gabigol Transfers

Inter are happy with the sales they have completed in recent months in the shape of Mauro Icardi and Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter recorded capital gains from the sales of both players worth a combined total of just shy of €60 million.

Icardi joined Paris-Saint Germain on a permanent basis in a €58 million deal, including add-ons, €56 million of which was a capital gain for the Nerazzurri club.

As for Gabigol, Inter made a €3.6 million capital gain on his sale to Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Flamengo back in the most recent January transfer window.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter will also more than likely make a capital gain from Ivan Perisic too.

Inter are in talks with Bayern Munich over the Croatian national team player’s future and Inter would make a capital gain in any transfer worth over €6.5 million, which is the value the former Borussia Dortmund player currently has against the club’s books.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte: “Alexis Sanchez In Good Condition, Been Able To Integrate Christian Eriksen”

Inter manager Antonio Conte has discussed a range of different topics as part of an interview with Chinese news outlet PP Sports, which is run by Inter’s owners Suning.

He started the interview by discussing the impact of the global Coronavirus crisis and what life was like in quarantine.

“The suspension of the Serie A due to the Covid-19 emergency certainly represented a new situation for everyone, it is difficult to say what kind of influence this stop can have,” he began.

“For us it was an opportunity to work, to review the first seven months, the negative and the positive things. We tried to optimize time, to study new solutions and situations.

“The quarantine allowed me to dedicate more time to my daughter, which I can hardly do normally since work often takes me away from home.

“Managing training in this situation has been totally new and I have to thank the players for the great professionalism and helpfulness shown.

“My staff have been very precious, and I thank them too. We did a great job, we stayed close to the boys in such a delicate moment with video calls.”

The former Italian national team manager then went on to share his delight at how training has went ahead of the 2019/20 Serie A season resuming this weekend.

“I am happy with what has been done from a technical, tactical, physical and video analysis point of view. If I have to find a positive side to this emergency, it is that I have had time to focus and try to find aspects to improve our team.

“We have to be ready, even if we cannot make a comparison with the pre-season games. Here there are three points up for grabs, it’s totally different. Playing every three days, training and playing matches whilst temperatures are high will not be easy.”

The former Juventus and Chelsea coach spoke about the squad’s health as well as in particular Alexis Sanchez as well as being able to work with Christian Eriksen.

“We have not been very fortunate during these months. We lost players to injury who had been doing well for months. Now we have the whole squad at our disposal, Alexis Sanchez is also in good condition.

“I have also been able to work with Christian Eriksen, this way I have been able to insert him in the right way with the rest of the squad. We have been working on being ready and at our best. In every situation you have to raise the bar, we have been working during this with the aim on making Inter better.”

Conte proceeded to share his views on the fact that games will be being played behind closed doors for the foreseeable future.

“The games behind closed doors, without fans, are strange and different. Playing with the fans is so important, but we must face this emergency and hope that as soon as possible we can play in front of the fans again. Football is so beautiful and full of passion and it is right to share it with people.”

Next Conte shared his desire to take the team to the next level and admitted that hard work will be required to achieve this goal of his.

“There are no shortcuts. We need hard work, sacrifice, effort and passion. I have desire and ambition, I always want to raise the bar and ask everyone who works with me, every day, to do that.

“I think a good path has started and when you start such paths you have to believe in it and want to face the difficulties. You have to be aware that by working in this way you can grow and become competitive to try to win something important.”

Conte then went on to share his delight at the growth he has seen in the team, particularly when it comes to their mentality.

“I am proud of how this team’s mentality is growing. The players are aware that if we want to be competitive and fight to win, every single player must raise their level.

“This is very important. I see a great willingness on their part to doing this thing, doing so raises the level of the whole team. I see great dedication and desire to work. I am very proud of this and I am happy to be the coach of these guys.”

In conclusion he spoke on putting the team together.

“The coach is like a tailor, he has to sew the best possible suit on the team. We have worked on many aspects, we have recovered the injured. Now there is the possibility of having all the rose available and I worked on it.”

Inter Refuse To Lower €111M Price Tag On Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez

Inter are refusing to drop their demands for Lautaro Martinez due to being absolutely convinced he will become a top international striker according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter continue to demand Barcelona pay his €111 million release clause and if a deal is to happen on a player or players plus cash basis, it will be done on Inter’s terms.

The Nerazzurri club are open to receiving Junior Firpo as part of a player plus cash deal but disagree with Barcelona’s €41 million evaluation of the full back and instead value him at no more than €20 million.

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants Arturo Vidal but the Chilean will not be part of any deal for Lautaro Martinez as Inter believe they could get him for less in a separate deal.

The report from the Turin based news outlet concludes that Inter may not go for Vidal at all and could end up reintegrating Radja Nainggolan, who was pushed out of the project this past Summer.
