Andrea Ranocchia Could Start For Inter In Serie A Clash Against Sampdoria This Weekend

Andrea Ranocchia is in with a shout of getting a rare start in this coming weekend’s match at home to Sampdoria according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The veteran central defender has found playing time extremely limited this season but could start this weekend at San Siro against La Samp due to Stefan de Vrij’s uncertain physical condition.

Despite his lack of playing time, Ranocchia is a key figure in the dressing room and is a highly respected member of the team.

The Italian is in fact the only player currently on Inter’s books to have won any silverware with the club and the report adds that what he says in the dressing room carries a lot of weight.

This season the 32-year-old, who has a contract with the club until the end of next season, has made seven appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a single goal.

Inter Could Lose As Much As €18M Due To Matches Being Played Behind Closed Doors

Inter will lose somewhere between €10-18 million due to the fact San Siro is closed to the public at the moment according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Due to the Coronavirus crisis, games are having to take place behind closed doors and clubs are therefore missing out on all sorts of revenue that they would typically earn from matches.

Inter will lose somewhere between the above amount and could potentially be one of the club’s who make the greatest loss in the league. The report explains that Inter’s arch rivals Juventus could lose as much as €25 million due to games needing to be played behind closed doors.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that the lack of fans could also impact television rights revenue and several clubs, including Juventus, are already drafting plans to present to the government regarding the attendance of supporters, who would be spaced out across the stadium.

Fiorentina Refusing To Give Up On Sandro Tonali Despite Strong Inter & Juventus Interest

Fiorentina are interested in signing Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Nazione.

Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso is described as being crazy about the highly rated 20-year-old and even made a €50 million offer for him back in the most recent January transfer window, although the offer was rejected.

La Viola were never given any real reason as to why their offer was rejected but the report from the Florence based news outlet claims that it could be the case that both Inter and Juventus both are being given preferential treatment.

Despite Inter and Juventus being interested and Inter seemingly being in the lead, the report goes on to add that Fiorentina are not giving up in their pursuit of Tonali, who is widely regarded as one of the best Italian prospects out there.

This season Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored one goal and provided five assists.

Man City Striker Gabriel Jesus’ Agent On Inter Links: “Anything Is Possible But Nobody Has Contacted Me”

Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus’ agent Cristiano Simões has refused the rule out the possibility of his client ending up at Inter.

A report emerged earlier on today that claimed Inter have identified the Brazilian national team player as a potential replacement for Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a potential transfer to Barcelona.

“Gabriel Jesus is very well at City at the moment and nobody has contacted me. Could he leave at the end of the season? Well, nowadays anything is possible,” he began an interview with Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Simões then went on to deny that the 23-year-old was ever close to Inter prior to his move to Manchester City back in the January transfer window in 2017 from Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Palmeiras.

“He chose Manchester City due to the manager and he was never really close to Inter.”

Next he was asked whether Manchester City’s exclusion from the Champions League could make a difference: “No, I don’t think it’s so fundamental.”

In conclusion he was asked whether he thinks a move to Inter and Italy would be a good move for his client, who still has three years left to run on his contract with his current employers.

“Again, no one has called me for now. At the moment…”

Agent Of Duo Gravillon & Agoume: “We’ll Decide Their Futures With Inter At The End Of The Season”

In an interview with Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it, football agent Oscar Damiani has discussed the situations of two of his clients who are currently on the books of Inter ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Damiani began the interview by discussing Inter Primavera central midfielder Lucien Agoume, who joined Inter this past Summer from French side FC Sochaux.

“The boy is calm and peaceful, he is training with the first team. Unfortunately, Primavera are no longer playing and there is a lot of competition for places with the adults,” he started.

He then went on to reveal that there has been some interest from elsewhere in the highly rated French youth national team player, who has been likened to Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

“We will wait and see what happens at the end of the season. There are clubs who have enquired and we will evaluate with him and his agent what the best solution will be. His contract renewal with Inter is practically done.”

Next Damiani spoke on Andrew Gravillon, who is currently out on loan at Serie B side Ascoli from Inter.

“He too has had many enquiries made about him, we will evaluate things later. With the current situation everything is on standby. We will talk to Inter and decide.”

Damiani has strong connections in French football and was then asked what he makes of OGC Nice defender Malang Sarr, who has been linked to Inter, AC Milan and Lazio among others in the past few days and weeks.

“He is a decent player, even if he doesn’t seem like a top player to me. He has often played on the left, he is left-footed and he does not have a great physique. I don’t consider him a top, but he can be a good option because of his expiring contract.”

Inter To Renew Daniele Padelli’s Contract & Continue Working On New Contract For Sebastiano Esposito

Inter have reached agreements over contract renewals with several players as of late and are not done yet with contract renewals according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter have three players in the first team with expiring contracts in Daniele Padelli, Tomasso Berni and Borja Valero and the report explains that only Padelli will be handed a new deal.

The veteran shot-stopper, who is currently the back-up goalkeeper, will be signed to an extension and will become the third choice goalkeeper whilst Berni and Borja Valero will both leave the club once their deals expire.

The Nerazzurri have agreed first professional contracts with several young players as of late in Lorenzo Pirola, Filip Stankovic, Lucien Agoume and Tibo Persyn and the club are also at work trying to sign teen sensation and arguably the club’s best prospect Sebastiano Esposito to a first professional contract too.
