Inter have reached agreements with Lorenzo Pirola and Filip Stankovic over first professional contracts with the club according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired yesterday afternoon.

Both players turned 18-years-old back in February of this year which means they are eligible to sign professional terms with the club and both are set to sign long term contracts.

Central defender Pirola, who is regarded as one of the club’s best prospects at the moment, has agreed to a five year professional deal with the club whilst Stankovic, who is the son of Inter legend Dejan Stankovic, has agreed to a four year deal.

Neither player has made their first team debuts for Inter as of yet but both have featured on the bench for the first team throughout the campaign and also regularly train alongside the first team squad under the watchful eye of Inter manager Antonio Conte.

Italian Media Reports 2020/2021 Serie A Season Could Start In Mid-September

The 2020/21 Serie A season is most likely to commence in the second week of September according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

As things stand, the most likely date for the season to begin is September 12, which, if confirmed, will give clubs around about three weeks to prepare following the conclusion of the 2019/20 campaign, which has had to be extended due to the Coronavirus crisis.

The report from the Milan based news outlet also highlights the fact that the transfer window would still be open when the season resumes with the upcoming window set to close at the beginning of October.

UEFA’s executive committee are due to meet tomorrow to discuss and define all the details with regard to finishing the current season and after the meeting, leagues across the continent, including Serie A, will be able to start making more concrete plans for next season.

Italian Report Claims Nice’s Malang Sarr Isn’t A Top Priority For Inter This Summer

Signing OGC Nice defender Malang Sarr is not a priority for Inter according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants a more experienced central defender signed and it is for this reason that Inter are not prioritising a move for Sarr and why they have not concluded a deal for Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla either.

Sarr’s contract with his current employers is set to expire at the end of this month and he has been proposed to both AC Milan and Lazio and the report claims that AC Milan are not entirely keen on the young Frenchman at the moment.

The report also goes on to add that Sarr likes the idea of a move to Italy but could well end up in another league instead.

This season the 21-year-old has made 20 appearances across all competitions to date and in his time on the park, he has scored a single goal.

Italian Media Highlights Reasons Behind Christian Eriksen’s Great Match For Inter Vs Napoli

There was more than just a change of system behind Christian Eriksen’s good performance in this past weekend’s match against Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Danish national team player put in his best performance to date in an Inter shirt as Inter drew 1-1 away to Napoli and whilst the system being changed from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-1-2, which allowed him to play in his natural position of attacking midfielder had a big impact, there were several other contributing factors.

Eriksen has improved his understanding of the Italian language with thanks to watching Italian television series whilst he was stuck at home.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player feels a lot more integrated into the group, even if he is still speaking little and another contributing factor is his vastly improved physical condition.

Since his arrival at Inter in January, Eriksen has made nine appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided a single assist.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Wants To See The Squad Improve In Three Areas

Inter manager Antonio Conte has made it clear to the team that there are three areas which he wishes to see improvement in following this past weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg draw away to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte wants to see an improvement from the players when it comes to having attention to detail, even the smallest of details, which could ultimately make the difference in a match.

He wants to see the team improve with the new look midfield set-up which has two central midfielders opposed to three and one attacking midfielder.

Moreover, the report explains that the former Italian national team manager wants to see goals come from elsewhere in the team with the team having heavily relied upon both Lautaro Martinez and Romelu Lukaku to score the goals during the course of this season.
