Inter are one of many clubs interested in signing Nice defender Malang Sarr on a free transfer in the summer, and have an advantage over the competition, according to a report from Italian media outlet PassioneInter.com earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are interested in signing the 21-year-old French defender, who will be in a free agent at the end of this month after his contract expires with Nice.

Inter have made contact with the player’s entourage and hold a slight advantage over their competition due to their excellent relationship with Federico Pastorello, an Italian agent who is part of that entourage.

Several European clubs are interested in signing Sarr, the report continues mentioning unnamed clubs from Germany, England, Spain and as well as other Italian sides also interested in signing the 21-year-old Frenchman.

Italian Media Highlight Inter Coach Antonio Conte Focused On Winning Coppa Italia

Inter coach Antonio Conte wants to win the Coppa Italia and will focus on the tournament, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Lecce born coach wants to have a success in his first season in Milan, needed after being eliminated from the Champions League and dropping behind in the title race, with Lazio and Juventus both overtaking the Milanese club.

Conte initially was furious with the calendar created by Lega Serie A and the FIGC, the report continues, as he didn’t expect to have to finish the cup before restarting the league. Due to the fact that Inter have played a game less than Lazio and Juventus, the delayed game against Sampdoria is important for morale and Conte was hoping that game would be played first. Inter Coach Conte To Deploy Christian Eriksen Behind Lautaro Martinez & Romelu Lukaku

Inter coach Antonio Conte has strayed from his preferred 3-5-2 formation to line-up the Nerazzurri in a 3-4-1-2 formation, which would see Christian Eriksen play behind the strikers, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Lecce born coach has taken advantage of the Coronavirus stop to rethink his tactical system at Inter and how best to deploy the 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who joined the club in January in a deal worth €20 million. Conte has changed the formation from a 3-5-2 to a 3-4-1-2, putting Eriksen behind Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, in order to make the Dane feel more comfortable.

This system will be deployed against Napoli tonight in the second leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals, the report continues. Eriksen will be expected to track back when possession is lost and will play in a similar way to what Stefano Sensi was doing at the start of the season, only a little more up the pitch.

Italian Media Claim Lyon Cool Down Interest In Inter’s Diego Godin Due To His High Wages

Lyon were interested in signing Inter defender Diego Godin, but the player’s high wages have pushed away the French club, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Uruguayan defender has struggled to settle in Milan after arriving on a free transfer last summer, following on from his contract expiry with long time home Atletico Madrid. Arturo Vidal: “I Love Inter’s Antonio Conte, I Want To Be Important For Barcelona If Not We’ll See What Happens”

Inter linked Arturo Vidal discussed the return to football, his future and his relationship with Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte in an interview with Spanish media outlet El Periodico earlier today.

First, he talked about his career and how long he has left, considering that he is 33 years old.

“I feel in this moment that I have three or four years more at the highest level. The numbers speak for themselves.”

The Chilean midfielder touched on his future and whether he would stay with Barcelona or not after the summer.

“There’s two months left until the end of the season. I want to feel important, if not then you have to do what is best for your career. In Barcelona I’m happy, my family is happy and I have excellent teammates.

“I like to play, I like to feel important. I don’t say every game, but the fundamental ones, the ones that help you win titles. There are many feelings that come into play.”

Vidal commented on his relationship with Conte, who coached the Chilean during his time at Juventus.

“We have an excellent relationship. He knows that I’m a winner, that he can trust me. That’s what I want here too. There’s two months left, and I hope to feel this trust here too.”

The player didn’t see himself leaving the club as part of an exchange deal. Rumours have linked the player with a move to Inter by including him in the deal for Lautaro Martinez.

“I’ve built my whole career on my own. In return, it’s been very strong. I’m very quiet and I’m not a kid. I have a career that few people can boast with. I can’t comment every time an article comes out in the press. They change versions all the time, in the end you risk going crazy.”

He spoke about his experiences in lockdown due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

“It was a bad experience. Nobody expected it, hopefully such a pandemic will never happen again. It’s been a very difficult month for everyone. I was not alone.

“I was accompanied by Juan Ramírez, my trainer and, in addition, two friends of mine who had come to visit me in these days had to stay here, obviously, to pass the pandemic. This made me work more comfortably at home because they were there.”

Vidal spoke about his training sessions and how hard he has been working at home. A video of him running 10 kilometres in 38 minutes recently went viral.

“I’ve done two workouts a day. There was a day when I was training with Juanma and suddenly I started to do a challenge on video. The 10 km in 38 minutes? I didn’t want it to go viral.

“The resistance training was working, and it occurred to me that I should continue. I did the 10 km in 38.08 minutes. But I could slowly improve that time. Thank God I’m better prepared than ever.”

Finally, Vidal talked about what he would like to do after he retires from football.

“In this isolation, I was taken by the desire to become a coach. I’ve had coaches of all styles and cultures. Conte, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Heynckes. Some of them have changed me a lot. Conte, I love him. Guardiola knows a lot about football. Heynckes and Ancelotti, too, the way they handled the squads. In time, I want to bring together the best in each and then make my career.”
