There will be no extra time in either Coppa Italia semi final if they are to end in a tie according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
AC Milan and Juventus are due to face off at San Siro on Friday night and Inter are due to play away to Napoli on Saturday night, with both games scheduled to kick off at 9pm CET.
Due to the packed schedules that the teams have ahead of them, there will be no extra time played and if the matches are to end as draws, they will just go straight to a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.
AC Milan and Juventus are heading into the second leg of their tie drawing 1-1 after the first leg whilst Inter head into the match against Napoli trailing 1-0 from the first leg.
The Coppa Italia final is scheduled to take place in one week’s time and the report from the Milan based news outlet does not specify whether there will be extra time or not if required in the final or if it will just go straight to penalties.
