Spanish Media Claim Sevilla Identify Inter’s Borja Valero As Replacement For Ever Banega

Sevilla have sparked an interest in signing Inter midfielder Borja Valero according to a report from Spanish news outlet Fichajes.net.

The Andalusian club are weighing up a move for the veteran Spaniard with Ever Banega set to depart the club in the coming months having agreed a deal to join Saudi Pro League side Al-Shabab.

Valero’s contract with Inter is set to expire at the end of the month and with no contract renewal seemingly forthcoming, Sevilla could snap him up on a free transfer once his deal expires.

The former Fiorentina player’s agent has recently admitted his client would like to remain in Italy for the remainder of his career and it remains to be seen whether any contract offer Sevilla make for him could lead to him changing his mind.

Valero has played a bit part role for Inter this season with him having made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals.

Italian Media Report Inter Accelerate For Tottenham Defender Jan Vertonghen

Inter have sped up in their pursuit of Jan Vertonghen according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Belgian national team defender’s current contract with Tottenham Hotspur is due to expire at the end of the month and whilst a short term extension until the end of the season is likely, he seems destined to part ways with the north London club.

The Nerazzurri have shown a keen interest in signing the former Ajax defender for some time and Roma have also shown an interest in signing him.

The report from the Turin based news outlet does however go on to explain that Roma have cooled their interest in signing him due to having other priorities at the moment, namely pursuing a permanent move for Chris Smalling.

This season Vertonghen has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided one assist.

Italian Media Claim Inter Starlet Sebastiano Esposito Could Change Agent To Federico Pastorello

Sebastiano Esposito’s family have held talks with football agent Federico Pastorello with regard to him possibly becoming his agent according to a report from Italian journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.

Inter have been in talks with Esposito over a professional contract but are yet to have struck a deal and the report suggests that should Pastorello, who already represents a number of Inter players, be appointed, it could help negotiations along.

The teen sensation will be eligible to sign professional terms with Inter upon turning 18-years-old next month and it is understood that Inter wish to tie him down to a five year contract.

Esposito is also understood to want to commit to the Nerazzurri for the long term but his demands currently exceed what Inter are willing to give him.

The Italian youth national team player has had a first team breakthrough this term and in 11 appearances at first team level, he has scored a single goal.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Biasin: “Inter & Sandro Tonali Have Agreed Personal Terms”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin is convinced that Inter will only let Lautaro Martinez depart the club if his €111 million release clause is met.

The highly rated 22-year-old Argentine national team striker has been heavily linked with a potential move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming transfer window and there is great uncertainty as to whether he will stay at Inter or go to the Blaugrana.

“Inter want all €111 million (or slightly less) and that is a certainty. Another certainty is that Barcelona does not have that amount of money,” Biasin began his latest editorial for Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Biasin then speculated about players who Inter could potentially make a move for in the event that Lautaro does go on to leave the club in the coming months.

“Some people think Chiesa, others think Cavani, others think both. Marotta has liked Chiesa for some time and even if he arrives, he will not be the only one.”

He then went on to discuss the future of Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who has drawn links to a few different clubs as of late.

“There are people saying Juventus are interested and others say Inter are ready to offer Nainggolan but I think he will stay at Roma.”

In conclusion Biasin revealed that Inter have an agreement in principle over personal terms with Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali.

“Inter and the midfielder have an agreement, one with Cellino remains to be found. The Nerazzurri don’t want to go beyond €40 million, whilst Brescia want more. It will take time but a Barella style deal seems more than possible.”

Italian Media Report Fiorentina To Go After Inter’s Radja Nainggolan If Federico Chiesa Is Sold

Fiorentina will move for Inter’s Radja Nainggolan in the coming months if Federico Chiesa departs the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Nazione.

Whilst the Belgian is certainly not a replacement for Chiesa, La Viola would use the money raised through any sale of Chiesa to bring in Nainggolan from Inter.

The report explains that Fiorentina could do a loan with obligation to buy deal for the former Roma midfielder with the obligation to buy set at €20 million.

Nainggolan is currently out on loan at Cagliari from Inter and is facing an uncertain future. Some reports in the media have suggested that he is destined to be moved on upon his return whilst other reports have suggested that there is a chance that he could even be reintegrated.

This season the 32-year-old has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied six assists.

Ex-Conte Assistant Angelo Alessio: “Wont Be Easy For Inter To Sign Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata”

Inter manager Antonio Conte’s former assistant manager Angelo Alessio has shared his belief that he does not think it will be easy to sign Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

In the past few days reports have suggested that Inter have made some enquiries about Morata’s availability via intermediaries as they look to enhance their attacking options.

“He is an exceptional boy. He is educated, respectable and he trains in the right way every day. He had an excellent relationship with everyone, he knows how to make himself loved,” Alessio, who was most recently manager of Scottish Premiership side Kilmarnock, told Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“He is very good at attacking spaces and I would say that he is a complete striker. I find it hard to find any fault with him. Perhaps he could score more goals but he is someone who always hits double figures.

“He has fully matured and I think he still has to show his best. Everyone expects him to score 30 goals and I think he can do it.”

Alessio then spoke on the links to Inter and how easy he thinks it will be for Inter to prize him away from the La Liga club.

“He could be fine at Inter although I do not think it will be easy for them to take him away from Madrid. I know he is fine there. He is a great striker and could play for any club, including Inter, but I do not think Atletico will let him go easily.”

Alessio, who worked with Conte between 2010 and 2018, then spoke on whether he thinks Morata could form a partnership with Inter striker Romelu Lukaku.

“He could absolutely play in a pair with Lukaku, Alvaro can play alone or in a pair, for example when he was at Juventus with Tevez.”

This season Morata has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 12 goals and provided three assists for his teammates.

Inter & Bayern Munich Have A Gentleman’s Agreement Over Ivan Perisic’s Future

Inter and Bayern Munich have a gentleman’s agreement with regard to the permanent transfer of Ivan Perisic according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Perisic joined the Bundesliga club on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal the Bavarian club obtained an option to sign him outright but the deadline to do so has no passed.

Despite this, the two clubs came to a gentleman’s agreement to allow the deal to be done at a later date and Inter, who have optimism that Perisic will be signed outright, could perhaps grant Bayern Munich a slight discount compared to the value of the option to buy.

The report goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte does not see the Croatian national team winger as part of his plans whilst Perisic would like to remain at Bayern Munich.

Whilst out on loan at Bayern Munich, Perisic has made 27 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied eight assists.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta: “Last Year We Felt We Could’ve Signed Paulo Dybala From Juventus”

In an interview with Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera, Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta spoke on a range of Inter topics and firstly spoke on Inter’s views when it comes to the season resuming.

“We were silent not for fear of outsourcing, but because the scenario changed every day,” he started the interview which appeared in today’s print edition.

“The main concern was to protect the security of Inter, this was very important to the owners. Football should have sought a more peaceful debate.

“We did not want to start again, but we had to. We had to be logical. Football is a business. The government have worked hard to come to a decision in respect of heath.

“The basis of everything is loyalty, I hope that the directors respect the concept and nobody hides anything. The 5 substitutions certainly benefit the team with the strongest bench.”

He was then asked what Inter’s goals are for the remainder of the season.

“The first goal is to be a protagonist. With 13 matches left to play in the league, anything can happen. We also want to be protagonists in other competitions. The Coppa Italia is a closer target than the Europa League which is more ambitious.”

He then spoke on the recent sale of former club captain Mauro Icardi for €58 million to Paris Saint-Germain.

“Icardi was no longer part of our project. We had to find satisfactory accommodation for him and us and we done that. The ending was absolutely pleasant.”

Marotta was then quizzed on whether or not Lautaro Martinez will move to Barcelona amid continued links to the reigning La Liga champions.

“Lautaro represents an important reference point for Inter, we don’t need to sell him. There is a €111 million release clause that expires on July 7th: it is the only way that he will be sold.

“The player can wait and grow with Inter. We will meet with him, we have to make him understand that such a possibility can come again in the future, when he is more ready.”

Next he spoke on the moves made in the past year.

“We have added important people from the coach to some players, including Eriksen in January. Inter now has great visibility and charm. Eriksen is a good player and Conte will find the right place for him.”

He was then asked about the futures of Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic and Stefano Sensi with the club.

“We have an obligation and that is we cannot depreciate the value of our players. We evaluate everything with the coach. We want to keep Sensi.”

He was then asked what kind of players Inter are looking to bring in in the upcoming transfer window and was asked about Federico Chiesa and Sandro Tonali.

“We are looking for ready players, but young Italians are an important target. Then there are the market assessments. Chiesa has a demanding price, we are far apart. As for Tonali, there is more ease to sign him in comparison to Chiesa.”

Next Marotta was asked about Juventus’ Paulo Dybala and made a huge revelation about the Argentine.

“He is one of the greatest talents. Last year we felt we could have signed him but today he is projected to become a great Juventus leader.”

He was then asked if next year’s main objective is to win the Serie A title for the first time in over 10 years.

“We want to raise the bar and the quality level of the Inter team.”

He was then asked if there are any similarities between Inter president Steven Zhang and Juventus president Andrea Agnelli.

“I have worked in many places, if I look at the last two experiences there are principles that unite Agnelli and Zhang: the great sense of belonging, of victory, of the culture of work and there is passion. Even today Inter have them. The ambition is to go higher.”
