Inter have a plan to sign Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali, after already reaching an agreement with the 20-year-old, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report details how the Nerazzurri will have significant funds to invest into their squad this summer, thanks to the sale of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain and the possible sale of Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.

The Milanese club have already reached an agreement with Tonali for a summer move, but now need to finalise the deal with the Lombard club.

Brescia want €50 million for Tonali, the report continues, but Inter have no intention of paying that much. Instead, the Nerazzurri are planning to wait for the player’s price to drop and then to convince Brescia to accept a two-year loan deal with a buy obligation attached. Juventus want to provide competition but the Nerazzurri are confident now.

Inter intend to honor the agreements they made with both Hellas Verona and their defender Marash Kumbulla, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Il Messaggero.

The report details how the Nerazzurri’s goal is to honour the agreement they reached with the Gialloblu some time ago regarding the 20-year-old Albanian defender, an agreement for a deal worth around €30 million. Kumbulla himself intends to keep to the agreement he made with the Nerazzurri and is ready to sign a long contract worth around €3 million. Juventus are also interested in the player.

The Nerazzurri also need to reach an agreement with Brescia regarding Sandro Tonali, the report continues. The Lombard club want €50 million for the 20-year-old Italian midfielder, whilst the Nerazzurri are planning to reach an agreement worth €30 million plus a player in exchange. Possible players who could be included are Lorenzo Pirola and Sebastiano Esposito. The latter hasn’t reached an agreement with the Nerazzurri regarding a new contract and unless an agreement is reached soon, he will inevitably be sold by the club.

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni spoke about former Inter striker Mauro Icardi and whether he could return to the national team in an interview with Argentine broadcaster DirecTV yesterday morning local time.

“Icardi is still in our plans, he knows very well how things are. I spoke to him on the phone when he was in conflict with Inter. I explained to him that I wouldn’t summon him because the other strikers were playing regularly with their respective clubs. And after the Copa America Lucas Alario showed up, but Mauro is not excluded. He’s just the right age to become a great scorer.”

Scaloni then spoke about the possibility of deploying both Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero and Inter forward Lautaro Martinez together.

“They get along very well, they’ll make a great duo for Argentina.”

Lautaro, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, has made 17 appearances for Argentina since his debut in March of 2018. The 22-year-old striker has since scored nine goals and provided one assist in that time, impressing many.

The Argentine forward is heavily wanted by Catalan giants Barcelona, but the Spanish club cannot afford to pay his €111 million release clause. Instead, they are hoping to offer the Nerazzurri €70 million plus Junior Firpo, but the Milanese club don’t value the Spanish full back that high.

Should Barcelona fail to sign Lautaro in July, Inter will offer the 22-year-old a new contract, hoping to secure the player’s services for years to come.

Fiorentina president Rocco Commisso spoke about Inter target Federico Chiesa, Gaetano Castrovilli and his dreams in the transfer market in an interview in the insert ‘AM, motors and lifestyles’, which came with today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

“From day one, I asked the players to call me Rocco. I haven’t yelled at anyone yet. Young people do. I cuddle them. At their age they need a president who’s also a father.”

He continued talking about his relationship with the squad.

‘Chiesa, I gave him attention when he came on tour in the USA. But I also love Castrovilli, Vlahovic. And with the guys who tested positive for COVID-19, I made myself available every day when they weren’t well.”

The Italian American businessman talked about the future of Inter target Federico Chiesa.

“I think Federico understood the ambition we have. In the next five years we’re going to aim high. We want Fiorentina to become a point of arrival, and no longer a passing point, for the players.”

Finally, Commisso talked about his dreams in the transfer market.

“Messi, he’s the strongest of them all. But he has impossible costs for us. My desire is another. I would like Chiesa, Castrovilli and Vlahovic to become Fiorentina legends.”

Inter are one of many clubs incredibly interested in signing the 22-year-old Chiesa, who is contracted to the Florence based club until 2022. Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions so far this season for the Viola, for a total of 2117 minutes. In that time, he has scored seven goals and provided five assists, being one of the stars of the team.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to fund the expensive deal for Chiesa with the money earnt from selling Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.

Former Inter striker David Suazo discussed his idols and time with the Nerazzurri in an interview with Honduran media outlet La Prensa as reported by FcInterNews yesterday.

“Ronaldo was my idol, I kept his shirt with so much love.”

He also spoke about another former Inter striker, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“He is the best player who made a difference at Inter.”

Finally, Suazo also spoke about time with the Nerazzurri and former coach Jose Mourinho.

“I would have liked to have been more of a hero in that team, but these things happen. Mourinho? He’s one of the best coaches in the world.”

Suazo spent four years of his career with Inter, from 2007 to 2011. He struggled to settle in the squad and spent two of those four years out on loan, first with Benfica and then with Genoa.

The Honduran made 41 appearances across all competitions during his time with the Milanese club, for a total of 1873 minutes. In that time, he scored eight goals and provided four assists, struggling to replicate the form he had at Cagliari. He still won many trophies with the Nerazzurri, such as two league titles, a Supercoppa Italiana, a Coppa Italia and a Champions League, being a part of the Treble winning squad.

Inter posted five obscure facts about former Nerazzurri striker and fan favourite Ronaldo in a post on their Twitter page yesterday.

The Brazilian striker, who won two World Cups in his career, spent five years with the Nerazzurri, from 1997 to 2002. In that time, he made 98 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 7421 minutes. He scored 59 goals and provided 11 assists for the Milanese club in this period, despite suffering career changing knee injuries.

Inter celebrated the 4th anniversary of the takeover by the Suning group with a post on their Twitter page yesterday.

The Chinese company, owned by the billionaire family the Zhang family, purchased over 65% of shares in the Nerazzurri on the 6th June 2016. Since then, the club has been transformed, with president Steven Zhang creating and leading many future projects for the club, from a new stadium to a competitive squad. The family have invested over €700 million into the Nerazzurri.

Inter remembered former Nerazzurri midfielder Fredy Guarin’s time at the club with a post on their Twitter page yesterday.

The 33-year-old Colombian midfielder, who is currently playing for Brazilian side Vasco de Gama, spent four years of his career with Inter, from 2012 to 2016. In that time, he made 141 appearances across all competitions for the Nerazzurri, for a total of 10255 minutes. In that time, he scored 22 goals and provided 38 assists, being a fan favourite for his hard work.
