Inter Aimt To Sign Lazio Target Marash Kumbulla But Could Loan Him Out

Inter seriously want to sign Marash Kumbulla from Hellas Verona and what will happen with him in his first season at Inter will depend on what happens with other defenders at the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri have been working to sign the Albanian national team centre back for some time and what happens with Diego Godin and Milan Skriniar will determine whether Kumbulla stays with Inter or is loaned out for his first season.

Following an up and down first season in Milan, rumours are circulating that Godin could depart the club. As for Skriniar, the Slovakian has struggled in Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system and if Inter were to receive an offer in the region of €80 million in the coming months they could let him leave the club.

This season has been Kumbulla’s breakthrough season at the Gialloblu club. He has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal.

Inter Looking To Make Double Swoop For Hellas’ Marash Kumbulla & Brescia’s Sandro Tonali

Inter are ready to get deals done for Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla and Brescia’s Sandro Tonali according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Part of Inter’s transfer strategy involves bringing in promising young players. Whilst owners Suning and Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta want to win immediately, they are also wanting to win in the long run and believe the acquisition of several top young players will increase the chances of that happening.

Inter have been working on a deal for Kumbulla for some time and the player is seemingly keen on a move to Inter. Inter would like to get a deal done for him as soon as possible but are still to decide whether he will come to Milan immediately or if he will spend next season on loan at Hellas Verona.

As for Tonali, Inter have a slight advantage over other clubs interested in him thanks to the funds raised through the sale of Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain.

Brescia want €50 million for him but rather than paying that amount outright, Marotta is thinking about structuring the deal similarly to the one that brought Nicolo Barella to the club last Summer.

Marotta could also offer a young player as part of a deal for Tonali in order to bring the cost down a little.

Inter Offer Marcelo Brozovic 4 Year Contract Worth €4M Net/Year & Remove Buy-Out Clause

Inter are set to offer midfielder Marcelo Brozovic a new and improved contract according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report explains that Inter are ready to give him a new four year contract until 2024 that will come with an increased annual salary of €4 million net a year. Moreover, the Croatian national team player’s €60 million release clause will be removed as part of the new deal.

Since Luciano Spalletti deployed Brozovic in the role of regista in March 2018, the former Dinamo Zagreb player has been absolutely pivotal for Inter and was a key cog in Spalletti’s side until his departure and he remains a key part of current manager Antonio Conte’s side.

This season the 27-year-old has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park he has scored three goals and has provided five assists for his teammates.

Spanish Media – Barcelona Offer €70M Cash + Junior Firpo Valued At €41M For Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona have made a new offer to Inter for striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The report explains that Barcelona have offered €70 million plus Junior Firpo, who they value at €41 million, thus making the total value of the deal €111 million, the same amount as Lautaro Martinez’s release clause.

The above offer will however not trigger the release clause as it can only be triggered by an offer made up fully of cash.

The report goes on to explain that Inter manager Antonio Conte likes the idea of acquiring Firpo and believes that he is ideal for his system.

It goes on to conclude that Inter are well aware of Lautaro’s desire to move to Barcelona to play alongside compatriot Lionel Messi.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Inter Lead Race To Sign Juventus & Barcelona Target Sandro Tonali

Sandro Tonali has told Inter that he wishes to move to them according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia which was aired late last night.

With Tonali’s ‘yes’, Inter are now the absolute favourites to go on and sign the highly rated Brescia midfielder over the likes of Juventus and Barcelona, who have both also been linked with the 20-year-old.

Inter are now ready to deal with Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino to reach a deal over Tonali, who is widely regarded as being one of the top Italian prospects out there at the moment.

The report goes on to explain that Cellino continues to demand a fee in the region of €50 million for Tonali whilst Inter want to pay €35 million plus add-ons.

It goes on to conclude that the two clubs could agree to a Nicolo Barella style deal meaning Tonali would join on loan with an obligation to buy and the overall cost of the deal could be bumped up slightly.

Inter Legend Luis Suarez Advises Lautaro Martinez: “Stay Another Year At Inter”

Legendary Inter midfielder Luis Suarez has urged Inter striker Lautaro Martinez to knock back the advances of Barcelona and stay with Inter for at least another year.

Ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window, Lautaro has found himself very heavily linked with a move to the La Liga powerhouses but Suarez, who played for both clubs during his playing career, believes he would be best to stay where he is for the time being.

“It looks like he will go to the Blaugrana but if I were him, I would stay another year at Inter,” Suarez explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli yesterday afternoon.

“In Milan he would complete his growth path as a protagonist, perhaps by winning something. He could win something in less time at Barcelona, but he would not be a protagonist.”

Suarez, who was an integral part of the Grande Inter side of the 1960s, also shared his views on claims made in the media that Inter will deploy their Primavera side against Napoli in their upcoming Coppa Italia semi final second leg.

“I don’t think Inter will send the Primavera onto the pitch against Napoli. Unfortunately, at this particular moment, we must accept the schedule.”

The Spaniard spent nine years with Inter between 1961 and 1970 and during his time with the club he made 329 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he scored 55 goals.

Ex-Inter Owner Moratti On Lautaro Martinez’s Future: “Don’t Know What’ll Happen”

In an interview with Italian radio station Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has revealed he always wanted to bring Marek Hamsik to Inter.

“When I was at Inter I liked Marek Hamsik a lot. I wanted him when he played for Brescia,” he began the interview which was took place yesterday afternoon.

“He was a footballer I wanted to bring to the Nerazzurri but Aurelio De Laurentiis took him to Napoli. When he was at Napoli I called the president, but he didn’t want to give him to me, I then gave up. De Laurentiis did well to hold on tight to him.”

Moratti then went on to sing the praises of current Inter president Steven Zhang and Inter manager Antonio Conte.

“I think Zhang and Conte can be the winning figures. The owners have ambition and a desire to win, beyond the passion that comes when you are involved. Bringing in Conte was important because he has the right character.”

Next Moratti discussed Dries Mertens, who was reportedly close to joining Inter before performing a u-turn to sign a contract extension with Napoli.

“I would have been pleased to see him in the Nerazzurri, he would have been the best player to put alongside Lukaku next season, but De Laurentiis did well to keep a hold of him.”

Moratti then spoke briefly on the situation of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a potential move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming transfer window: “I don’t know what will happen, but I think that a solution will be reached shortly.”

In conclusion Moratti paid tribute to former Inter manager Luigi ‘Gigi’ Simoni who recently passed away aged 81 following a long battle with illness.

“He is a person to whom I became sincerely attached to, his loss is a big blow. He was a generous man.”

Moratti purchased a controlling stake in Inter in 1995 and was the club’s majority shareholder up until 2013. He sold his remaining shares as part of Suning’s takeover of Inter in 2016.

Ex-Inter Manager Mourinho: “I Speak To My Inter Treble Team Every Day”

Former Inter manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is still in contact with the members of Inter’s treble winning team 10 years on from the achievement.

“I speak to my Inter treble team every day on our WhatsApp group,” he explained as part of an interview with British news outlet The London Economic.

He was then asked how he and the members of the team celebrated the recent 10 year anniversary of the treble win given the current circumstances preventing them from being able to celebrate in person together.

“On the WhatsApp group with the team. We can’t be together so we all wished each other well and told some fun stories of the great memories from that season.”

Mourinho took charge of Inter in the Summer of 2008 following a spell in charge of Chelsea and spent the next two years in charge of the club before departing for Real Madrid following Inter’s treble success.

The current Tottenham Hotspur boss won 68 of his 108 games in charge of the Nerazzurri and as well as the treble in the 2009/10 season, he also won the Serie A title and Supercoppa Italiana the season before.
