Italian Media Lists 2 Main Reasons Inter Coach Antonio Conte Has Worked The Team Hard

Inter manager Antonio Conte has been working the team very hard as he wants to be quick out of the blocks once the season gets back underway according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The season has been on hold for close to three months now due to the Coronavirus crisis but is set to return in the coming weeks.

The work Conte has put the players through has taken its toll on some of them, namely Matias Vecino, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni and Diego Godin and the report explains that there have been some grumbles amongst the players due to the unexpected heavy load of work.

Aside from wanting to be quick out the blocks, starting with overturning the first leg Coppa Italia semi final defeat to Napoli, Conte has also worked the team hard due to wanting everyone at a similar fitness level as rotation will be required given the amount of games left to play and the close proximity of them all.

Italian Journalist Biasin: “Tonali Signing For Inter Would Be Huge, Icardi-PSG Deal A Masterpiece”

In an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva earlier on today, Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has addressed a number of Inter related topics and started by discussing their pursuit of Brescia’s Sandro Tonali.

“If Inter sign Tonali, they will be making a huge signing. The feeling is that he is a player of superior calibre,” Biasin began.

“Tonali is compatible with anyone. He can still be moulded as he is so young and capable. In my opinion he could do well in Inter’s side with or without Brozovic, in a competitive team you need both.”

Biasin then went on to discuss Mauro Icardi’s recent permanent switch from Inter to Paris Saint-Germain which took place in the last few days.

“Icardi has left and Inter made a capital gain. It was a masterpiece of a deal because it satisfied everyone. The anti-Italy return clause? It is a very intelligent way for Inter to protect themselves but I think Icardi’s desire is to continue in Paris.”

He proceeded to discuss Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be heavily linked with a potential move to Barcelona in the upcoming transfer window.

“For Lautaro let’s see what happens. I think he has already decided he wants to play with Messi and that Barcelona convinced him with a lot of money, but they must find the right price. Basically, it is always wrong to keep a player who doesn’t want to stay.”

Next Biasin dismissed claims that have been made in the media that Inter will play their Primavera side against Napoli in the second leg of the Coppa Italia.

“Inter are to play their Primavera in Naples? It is an urban myth, the Primavera team is not even training. It seems like bulls**t to me.”

Biasin then went on to discuss Inter’s teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito and a potential move he could make in the coming months.

“There is talk of him joining Brescia on loan as part of the Tonali deal. Inter want to give him the opportunity to find space and play consistently.”

In conclusion, Biasin spoke on Radja Nainggolan and the probability of him being handed a second chance by Inter upon his return from his loan with Cagliari.

“Maybe he will get another chance, I don’t know. It sounds strange to me. I don’t see him as a starer. I think he would also prefer a solution where he would be used more. It seems difficult for him to be in Conte’s squad next year.”

Massimo Moratti: “Inter’s Title Chances Next Season Hinges On Ability To Keep Lautaro Martinez”

Former Inter president and owner Massimo Moratti has shared his belief that Inter’s title chances hinge on whether Lautaro Martinez remains with the club or not.

The highly rated 22-year-old striker has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona ahead of the upcoming transfer window and Moratti, whose Inter won many Serie A titles and other silverware, believes a great striker would need brought in if the Argentine departs.

“Can Inter win the title next year? It will depend on whether Inter will lose a player like Lautaro Martinez or not. If they do, they will have to sign a great striker to win the title,” Moratti explained in an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena Ser Catalunya show ”Què t’hi Jugues’ earlier this afternoon.

He was then asked if a comparison can be made between Lautaro and former Inter striker Samuel Eto’o.

“They are two different players. I will always defend Eto’o because he won everything and because he behaved in a fantastic way with me. I knew he was very strong, but honestly, I didn’t think he would be so useful for the team.

“He changed Inter, gave the team strength and peace of mind. He contributed much more than I expected. Lautaro is an excellent striker who will do great things in his career. Now I think he will focus on Inter, he is a very serious guy.”

Moratti was then asked who the greatest striker to play for Inter was during his tenure in charge.

“Ronaldo is definitely the best striker we have ever had. Immediately after him there is Zlatan Ibrahimovic. We also had Adriano , a great player, he was very good. Inter have always had great strikers and obviously I can’t forget Diego Milito, who is the striker who has won the most in Inter history.”

Moratti purchased a majority stake in Inter in 1995 and was the club’s majority shareholder up until 2013. Following Erick Thohir’s takeover he maintained some of his shares and he sold the remainder of his shares as part of Suning’s takeover in 2016.

Man City, Chelsea & Borussia Dortmund Enquire About Inter Starlet Lorenzo Pirola

Several clubs have made enquiries about Lorenzo Pirola but Inter have clear intentions with regard to what they are going to do with him according to a report from Italian news outlet seriebnews.com.

Manchester City, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund have all made enquiries whilst Juventus have also approached the player.

However, Inter have clear ideas for Pirola, who is reportedly set to sign a contract until 2025.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could insert the highly rated Italian youth national team defender into a deal for Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla by offering him on loan.

He could join the Verona based outfit on a two year long loan in order to get some regular playing time which will help aid his development as a player.

It goes on to add that Serie B outfit Pescara are also keen on the 18-year-old, who has made 20 appearances for Inter Primavera this term, in which he has tallied a single assist.

Inter Could Sell Sebastiano Esposito But Only Under Specific Terms As Contract Talks Stall

Inter and Sebastiano Esposito have yet to reach an agreement over a first professional contract according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

There is some distance between Inter’s first offer and Esposito’s representatives demands. His representatives wish to understand what Inter plans are for the player and have made it clear that he does not want to be loaned out to a Serie B club.

A number of Serie A clubs are interested in signing him and Inter will not rule out letting him go permanently under certain conditions. Inter could let him go permanently provided they have a buy back option on him, a bit like Inter’s gentleman’s agreement with Genoa for Andrea Pinamonti.

At the moment, Parma seem to be the most interested in the 17-year-old sensation whilst Atalanta and Fiorentina have both also made enquiries for the young Italian.

The report concludes that for the time being Inter’s priority is reaching an agreement over a contract with Esposito, who has scored one goal in 11 first team appearances this term.

Russian Agent Selyuk Slams Lokomotiv Moscow For Not Signing Inter’s Joao Mario Permanently

Russian football agent Dmitry Selyuk has slammed Lokomotiv Moscow over their decision to not take up their option to sign on loan Joao Mario on a permanent basis.

The Portuguese national team midfielder joined the Russian Premier League side this past Summer from Inter on a season long loan with an €18 million option to buy attached but this option will not be exercised and the player is set to return to Inter.

“How can you sign a player guaranteeing him €6 million gross a year and let him go now this despite Joao Mario being a normal player. Not being normal is why he was brought to Lokomotiv,” Selyuk remarked in an interview with the online edition of Russian based news outlet Sovetsky Sport.

Since his arrival in the Russian capital city, the former Sporting CP player has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided four assists for his teammates.

The Euro 2016 winner joined Inter back in the Summer of 2016 but very seldom performed to expectations. He has represented Inter 69 times, in which he has scored four goals and provided 13 assists.

Inter Owned Newcastle Loanee Valentino Lazaro: “We’ll Decide On My Future Later”

Inter owned Valentino Lazaro has admitted that for the time being he is not focused on his future but rather the rest of the season.

Lazaro is currently out on loan at Premier League side Newcastle United, who have an option to sign him up on a permanent basis, and he was firstly asked whether he could return to Inter.

“For now I am focused only on the rest of the season, we will see about my future later,” he remarked in an Instagram Live chat with SoccerBible earlier on this evening.

He was then asked what his best moment of the season has been for him so far.

“I think the first time as a starter at San Siro, in the match against Verona in which I assisted for Vecino.”

Next the Austrian national team player was asked about Inter manager Antonio Conte and what his best qualities are as a manager.

“He knows how to get the best out of every player. He makes sure you run and fight for him.”

A few months on from his arrival in the Premier League, he was also asked how Premier League football compares to Italian football and what the biggest difference between the two is.

“The biggest difference is on a tactical level, in Italy a lot of tactical work is done in training and you can see it during the matches.”

The former RB Salzburg player also shared his view on how football can eradicate the problem of racism, which has reared its ugly head on a number of occasions this season.

“I think if you want to fight racism, you have to start with having every single person involved, whether it’s clubs, players or federations. Everyone has to be responsible for their actions.”

This season Lazaro has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and provided a total of two assists for his teammates.

Spanish Media Claim Inter, Monaco & Atletico Madrid Interested In Getafe’s Arambarri

Inter are weighing up whether to make a move for Getafe central midfielder Mauro Arambarri according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Nerazzurri club, as well as Ligue 1 club AS Monaco, are considering whether to activate the Uruguayan national team midfielder’s €25 million release clause in his contract.

Atletico Madrid are also interested in signing the 24-year-old with them still looking to find a long term replacement for Gabi, who departed for Qatari outfit Al Sadd back in 2018.

Arambarri would be open to a move to Los Colchoernos but the report warns that Atletico Madrid must sell Arsenal linked Thomas Partey before moving for Arambarri.

This season Arambarri, who has a contract with Getafe until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date.

In just shy of 2600 minutes in total on the pitch, the former Bordeaux player has scored one goal and provided a single assist.
