Italian Media Report Inter Owned Valentino Lazaro Can Veto Transfer To Newcastle

Valentino Lazaro will have the chance to decide where his future will lie according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Austrian national team defender joined Newcastle United on loan with an option to buy set at €22 million in the most recent January transfer window from Inter. If Newcastle United trigger that option it will be up to the player to decide if he wishes to join them permanently or return to Inter, effectively having a veto power over the transfer.

Lazaro joined Inter in a €20 million deal from Bundesliga outfit Hertha Berlin last Summer but failed to nail down a place in Antonio Conte’s side in the first half of the season, hence why he was loaned out to The Magpies.

This season the 24-year-old has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date between Inter and Newcastle United.

In his time on the pitch, the former RB Salzburg player has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

British Media – Man Utd Know They’ll Struggle To Demand A Fee For Inter Loanee Alexis Sanchez

Manchester United have long accepted that they will struggle to demand any sort of fee for Alexis Sanchez due to his massive wages according to a report from the online edition of British news outlet The Evening Standard.

The Chilean national team player currently earns £450,000 (approximately €500,000) a week and the Red Devils know it will be hard for them to demand a fee and as a result, Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it suggest that they could free the player just to get his huge salary off of their books.

The former Barcelona and Arsenal player is currently out on loan at Inter and the report states that whilst not entirely impossible for the loan to be extended, it is unlikely that Inter will agree to pay Sanchez’s weekly wages in full.

Should Sanchez go on to impress in the remainder of the season, Inter could move to keep him at the club but if not he will return to Manchester United.

The fact Inter missed out on Dries Mertens and are reluctant to meet Edinson Cavani’s demands could also play into the hands of Sanchez.

Chelsea Wingback Emerson Palmieri’s Agent: “Not Spoken To Inter & Antonio Conte”

Fernando Garcia, the agent of Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri, has denied having any contact with either Inter manager Antonio Conte or Inter over a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.

The Brazilian born Italian national team defender has been heavily linked with both Inter and Juventus ahead of the transfer window.

“At the moment everything is on hold. We have had no contact with any club, not even with Inter. We have never talked to Conte,” Garcia explained in an interview with Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.

Garcia was then asked about the possibility of a return to Italy for his client, who has previously played for Roma and Palermo.

“A return to Italy? I don’t know, let’s see what happens. He still has three years left on his contract with Chelsea.”

The 25-year-old full back, who is capable of playing on either the left or the right, has been with Chelsea since January 2018 and has went on to make 52 appearances across all competitions to date in the time since.

Emerson has found himself in and out of Chelsea boss Frank Lampard’s plans this season with him having been limited to 18 appearances so far, in which he has provided a single assist for his teammates of the Premier League club.

Juventus & AC Milan Refuse To Help Inter By Moving Their Coppa Italia Semi Final Clash

Juventus and AC Milan are unwilling to swap the date of their Coppa Italia semi final second leg to allow Inter and Napoli to play out their second leg earlier according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Juventus and AC Milan are set to face off on June 13 and Inter and Napoli are set to play the following day although it is understood that the Lega would like the government to allow the first of the semi-finals to take place on June 12 instead.

The Coppa Italia final is currently scheduled for June 17 and Inter were hoping to get to play earlier given they are the only one of the four sides in action on June 20 when the 2019/20 Serie A season resumes.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta had requested the postponement of the final until August 2nd but his request was thrown out.

The report goes on to explain that neither Juventus nor AC Milan wish to change the date of their match as they do not wish to do their rivals, Inter, a favour.

The dates for the Coppa Italia semi finals and final will be definitely decided this coming Friday.

Italian Report Details Prize Money Inter, AC Milan, Juventus & Napoli Could Earn In Coppa Italia

Winning the Coppa Italia could see Inter earn close to €10 million as it would mean they would qualify for the Supercoppa Italiana according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter could earn between €7-9 million if they triumph in the Coppa Italia and make it to the Supercoppa Italiana and Juventus would also make the same amount as them.

To make it to the final and stand a chance of winning though, Inter must overcome a 1-0 first leg defeat. Something that could inspire the Nerazzurri to overturn the result is the fact they beat Napoli 3-1 at the Stadio San Paolo earlier on this season.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that winning the Coppa Italia would be worth almost double to what Inter and Juventus will get for other semi-finalists AC Milan and Napoli considering they would also gain qualification directly to the Europa League group stages if they won.

Argentina Manager Scaloni On Inter’s Lautaro Martinez: “A Great Future Ahead Of Him”

Argentina national team manager Lionel Scaloni has shared his belief that Lautaro Martinez still has a lot to improve upon to get to the level of some of his compatriots.

The Inter striker is widely regarded as one of the best up and coming strikers out there at the moment and ahead of the upcoming transfer window he has found himself continuously linked with a move to Barcelona.

“Lautaro at Barça with Messi? It would be an advantage for us,” Scaloni, who took charge of Argentina in 2018, began an interview with Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports earlier on today.

“Lautaro is still young, he has a lot to learn and in Catalonia, as with what happened at Inter, he would have to fight for a starting shirt and needs to be given time to get to where his compatriots have arrived, such as Agüero.

“He certainly has a great future ahead of him, but I repeat: he still has to improve a lot.

“In any case, a change of club would not be a drama for us. Today there is a lot of talk about Lautaro, but Agüero is breaking every record: we will decide from time to time to whom to entrust the national team jersey.”

Scaloni concluded the interview by adding: “After all, if he were to go to Barcelona, the manager of the Blaugrana would have the same problem as me, in that he would have to choose who to put on the pitch among the many very strong forwards.”

The 22-year-old forward, who joined Inter in 2018 from Racing Club and has a contract until the end of the 2022/23 season, has become a first team regular this term at Inter under Antonio Conte.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, Lautaro has scored 16 goals and he has also provided a total of four assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.

All Of Inter’s Players & Staff Test Negative For COVID-19 For 3rd Consecutive Time

All Inter players and staff members have once again all tested negative for Coronavirus according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

These tests were carried out last Monday and the result of them arrived back with Inter yesterday. This is now the third lot of tests that have returned back negative and the report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to explain that the next set of tests are set to take place tomorrow.

Inter have published an official statement each of the past two times all tests have come back negative but the Nerazzurri club have yet to do so this time round.

Inter’s 2019/20 campaign is seemingly set to get back underway in 10 days time with them due to travel south to take on Napoli in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi final. The date has not yet been officially confirmed but an announcement on the official dates is expected in the coming days.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Deems Stefan de Vrij Not For Sale

Inter coach Antonio Conte deems Dutch international central defender Stefan de Vrij to be absolutely untouchable and not for sale according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

It did not take long for Conte to convince club management to also deem the player as being not for sale, not that it was exactly difficult for him to do so, the report explains.

Stefan de Vrij has drawn links to Barcelona but neither Inter, nor the player, have ever opened up to a possible farewell and the report goes on to state that Inter are considering handing the Dutch national team player a contract extension.

The former Lazio player is already under contract with Inter through to the end of the 2022/23 season and the report claims that his agent Mino Raiola, who has excellent relations with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta, will ask for Inter to increase his client’s current €3.8 million annual salary.

Italian Media Report Torino Preparing For Possible Exit Of Inter Target Armando Izzo

Torino are seemingly preparing for the possible departure of Armando Izzo in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Izzo has been linked with a potential move to Inter in the upcoming Summer transfer window and La Granata are in the process of seeking out potential replacements for him and Nicolas N’Koulou, who could also potentially depart the Turin based club in the coming months.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is reportedly a big fan of Italian national team defender Izzo and believes that the former Genoa player would be the ideal addition to bolster the Nerazzurri’s defensive department given his experience with a 3-5-2 system.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Torino are looking at Brescia’s Jhon Chancellor and Standard Liege’s Mergim Vojvoda as potential replacements for both Izzo and Cameroon national team player N’Koulou.

Inter Quintet Vecino, Godin, Bastoni, de Vrij & D’Ambrosio All Dealing With Injury Problems

Inter currently have five players dealing with injury problems, four of whom are defenders, according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Central midfielder Matias Vecino was the first player to sustain an injury with him injuring his knee and unlikely to be able to play a game every three days as a result.

Defensive quartet Diego Godin, Alessandro Bastoni, Stefan de Vrij and Danilo D’Ambrosio all also have issues they are dealing with.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that whilst there is still time for them to recover, it is premature to imagine that all five players will be fit and at the disposal of Inter manager Antonio Conte for Inter’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg match-up away to Napoli which is due to take place in 10 days time at the Stadio San Paolo.
