Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow have begun talks with Inter to extend Joao Mario’s stay in Russia to the end of this season, but don’t want to commit to purchasing the Portuguese midfielder, according to a report from Russian media outlet Metaratings.ru earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder has been on loan with Lokomotiv Moscow this season but hasn’t fully impressed the Russian club in that time. They are not looking to permanently sign the player but do want to keep him until the end of the season.

Lokomotiv Moscow have been directly talking with Inter, the report continues, without the usage of intermediaries, hoping to extend Joao Mario’s stay in Russia to at least July. Inter’s negotiations are being led by sporting director Piero Ausilio. Mario has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1287 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided four assists.

Inter are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain full back Layvin Kurzawa as a free agent in the summer, but are facing competition from Napoli, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Frenchman’s contract will expire with PSG at the end of the season, allowing him to leave as a free agent. He has already been offered to Napoli but his entourage, but the Partenopei must sell Faouzi Ghoulam before they can consider Kurzawa.

The Frenchman wants a salary of €4-4.5 million net per season, the report continues, and the club will also need to pay around €8-9 million between signing add-ons and commissions for his entourage. Inter have reached an agreement with Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali for a four-year contract, according to a report from Italian news outlet Corriere della Sera moments ago.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have offered the 20-year-old Italian midfielder a four-year contract worth €2.5 million net per season, 10 times what he earns now.

Inter will face Napoli in the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final clash on the 12th June, 24 hours before Juventus face AC Milan, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how dates of the resumption of the season are beginning to be leaked, with other dates also potentially being revealed. Inter’s postponed game against Sampdoria will take place on the 21st June at 9:45pm, whilst Juventus will play Lazio on the 20th July at 9:45pm.

Inter have made almost a 100% capital gain by selling Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from Italian news outlet Calcio&Finanza earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri sold the 27-year-old Argentine forward to Paris Saint-Germain for €50 million plus €8 million in easily achievable add-ons, as well as a clause that would see the French club pay Inter an extra €15 million should they sell Icardi to another Italian club.

The current residual value of Icardi is around €1,872,256 on Inter’s books so the proceeds of the sale represent an almost full capital gain.

Thanks to the sale of Icardi to PSG, Inter have been able to wear the storm of the Coronavirus pandemic without suffering too much financially, the report continues.

It is also worth noting that in the last decade the profits of player sales from Inter hasn’t gone past 20%, and even selling both Icardi and Ivan Perisic to Bayern Munich wouldn’t exceed that.

Inter midfielder Matias Vecino has decided not to have surgery on his injured knee and instead will undergo physical therapy, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Uruguayan midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, is suffering from a knee meniscus injury, but doesn’t want to have surgery to fix the issue. Instead, Vecino would prefer to continue with his physical therapy, alternating between training in the gym and training on the pitch. Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent Wanda Nara celebrated the 27-year-old’s move from Inter to Paris Saint-Germain in a post on her Twitter moments ago.

The 33-year-old Argentinian media personality and football agent helped her husband move away from Milan to Paris last summer, after a rift formed between the former talismanic striker and the Nerazzurri’s management. Wanda was not shy about criticizing the Milanese club and has been seemingly happier this season in the French capital with the 27-year-old.

Wanda posted a photo of Icardi celebrating a goal for PSG alongside the caption: “Happy to make all your dreams come true. Now all forward, we still have other dreams to realize. Thanks PSG, together we will fulfill them.”

Icardi made 219 appearances for Inter across all competitions in his seven years with the club, scoring 124 goals and providing 28 assists in that time.

He spent this season on loan with PSG, where he made 31 appearances across all competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing four assists in that time. Inter will look to reinvest the funds earnt from the sale back into the squad.
