Inter Shift Focus From PSG’s Edinson Cavani To Keeping Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez

Inter are focusing on keeping Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez rather than looking to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri would only look to sign the Uruguayan striker on a free transfer in the summer should the 22-year-old Lautaro be sold to Barcelona. Cavani wants around €7-7.5 million a season to play, which would make him one of the better paid players in the squad, and so it’s impossible to imagine the Nerazzurri signing the player whilst Lautaro remains with the club.

Inter director Piero Ausilio confirmed yesterday that the club would only accept €111 million for Lautaro, the report continues, the player’s release clause. Considering that Barcelona have appeared unable to pay this figure, the Milanese club are hoping to keep the 22-year-old for the foreseeable future. Lautaro has scored 16 goals and provided four assists across 31 appearances this season.

Italian Media Reports Inter Open Door Widely For Juventus Target Sandro Tonali

Inter are working with Brescia president Massimo Cellino to try and find a suitable deal for Italian starlet Sandro Tonali, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are keen to sign the 20-year-old Italian, who has impressed this season with Brescia in his debut Serie A season. Juventus are also looking to sign the Italian starlet and so Inter are moving quickly to try and reach an agreement for Tonali.

Inter coach Antonio Conte is less keen on the 20-year-old as he would prefer to sign Chilean veteran Arturo Vidal, the report continues, but the Nerazzurri executives disagree and don’t want to sign the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder, in part because Christian Eriksen was signed to strengthen the same position.

Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2130 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists.

Inter & Antonio Conte Want To Keep Man Utd Owned Alexis Sanchez Beyond This Season

Inter and their coach Antonio Conte are keen to keep Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez in Milan for another season, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward has been on loan at Inter from Manchester United this season but has struggled to make a significant impact in Milan in that time.

Sanchez has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season but has only scored one goal and provided three assists, struggling with injuries and inconsistent playing time.

Inter are interested in keeping Sanchez for another season, the report continues, should the player impress in the remaining games of this season.

However, a problem would be his €12 million wages, which are currently paid in part by Manchester United, so a new agreement with the Red Devils would be needed. The Nerazzurri are looking for a new striker and Sanchez could fill the hole in the squad that Dries Mertens is no longer being considered for.

Inter To Make €56M In Capital Gains On Selling Mauro Icardi To PSG

Inter will make a huge capital gain by selling Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to French champions Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have made an almost total capital gain from the sale of Icardi to PSG for €50 million plus €8 million in add-ons, considering that the 27-year-old was on Inter’s budget for just under €2 million. Should the French club decide to sell him to an Italian club, the Milanese side will earn another €15 million, which makes it unlikely that Juventus will sign him this summer.

Last summer PSG and Inter agreed a fee of €70 million to make the stay for Icardi permanent, the report continues, but the price dropped by 17% due to other factors like the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic and the cancellation of the French season. Considering that Inter are also set to sell Ivan Perisic to Bayern Munich in the summer, the Milanese club will have significant spending money to strengthen the squad.

Juventus Linked Sandro Tonali Is Inter’s Main Transfer Target This Summer

Inter are focused on signing Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali, who is also wanted by Juventus, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have an offer prepared for the 19-year-old Italian midfielder, €35 million plus €5 million in add-ons. Juventus are also keen to sign Tonali, with both clubs looking to strengthen their midfields with young Italian talent. Inter coach Antonio Conte is still keen to sign Arturo Vidal, but if the deal doesn’t materialise, then Radja Nainggolan could be re-integrated into the squad.

The Nerazzurri are also interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani, the report continues, who seems even more likely to leave the French capital after it became clear that the two clubs had reached an agreement over Mauro Icardi. Both Atletico Madrid and Newcastle are also keen to sign the Uruguayan on a free transfer. Other players Inter are keen on include Matheus Cunha and Adolfo Gaich.

Nicola Berti: “Replace Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez With PSG’s Edinson Cavani, Nicolo Barella My Heir At Inter, He’ll Dominate Serie A For Next Decade”

Former Inter midfielder Nicola Berti has stated that if he were the manager of Inter he would look to bring in Edinson Cavani if Lautaro Martinez departs the club in the coming months.

Lautaro has drawn continuous links to Barcelona for some time now and Berti thinks Inter could replace him with Paris Saint-Germain star Cavani, whose contract with them is set to expire at the end of next month.

“If he were to go to Barcelona and if I had been Inter manager, the first player I would want at Inter would be Cavani,” he remarked in an interview with Italian television show ‘Qui studio a voi stadio’ yesterday evening.

He then spoke on the fact that the likes of Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Antonio Conte, both of whom have pasts with Inter’s arch rivals Juventus, are now at the club: “Is Inter more ‘black and white’ now? Yes in this period Inter are but they are professionals.”

Berti also spoke on quarrelling with former Inter manager Giovanni Trapattoni and how hard it was: “I wanted to quarrel with everyone, but I couldn’t cope with him. He always understood you, it was impossible.”

In conclusion he was asked which current player he believes resembles him the most.

“The new Berti? Nicolò Barella. He is slightly shorter than me, but he has monstrous energy and strength. He will be dominant in the Serie A for the next ten years.”

Berti joined Inter in the Summer of 1988 from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina and spent the next decade on the club’s books before departing for Tottenham Hotspur. During his time with the club he made 312 appearances, in which he scored 41 goals and tallied eight assists.
