Inter & PSG One Step Away From Agreeing Terms Over Mauro Icardi In Deal Worth Slightly Less Than €70M

Inter and Paris Saint-Germain are hard at work trying to reach an agreement over the permanent transfer of Mauro Icardi according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The clubs are now closer than ever to reaching a deal which will be worth less than the €70 million option to buy Paris Saint-Germain obtained as part of the loan agreement with Inter this past Summer transfer window, thanks to the presence of add-ons.

Once an agreement is reached between the two clubs, Icardi will be contracted to the French capital city club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

Whilst out on loan at the Parc des Princes outfit, the former Inter captain has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, the former Barcelona academy player has scored 20 goals and has provided a handful of assists for his teammates too.

Italian Media Reports Inter Could Offer Arsenal Ivan Perisic Or Matias Vecino For Alexandre Lacazette

Inter could try and acquire Alexandre Lacazette via a swap deal with Arsenal according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short time ago.

The Frenchman is the latest name Inter are looking at with a view to replacing Lautaro Martinez at the club should he depart in the coming months amid ongoing links to La Liga powerhouses Barcelona.

Cristiano Biraghi’s Agent: “Logical For Loans To Be Extended, We’ll Wait To See What Inter’s Ideas Are”

Cristiano Biraghi’s agent Mario Giuffredi has admitted that he is unsure what the future holds for his client, who is currently out on loan at Inter.

The full back returned to the Nerazzurri, whose academy he graduated from, on a season long loan from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina this past Summer transfer window and there is great uncertainty with regard to his immediate future.

His loan deal is set to expire at the end of June but with the Serie A season set to resume on June 20, it remains to be seen what will happen with loan deals and expiring contracts.

“In the next few weeks everything will be defined. It is logical to think that loans should be extended until the end of the season,” Giuffredi began an interview with Italian radio station Radio Sportiva earlier on today.

“We have to wait and see what Inter’s ideas are. The situation will be defined in the next too months. It is currently too difficult and complex a situation to be able to make a prediction.”

Whilst on loan at Inter, Biraghi has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the field he has scored one goal and has provided a total of four assists for his teammates.

Inter & PSG Hoping To Wrap Up Deal For Mauro Icardi Before The End Of This Week

Inter are asking Paris Saint-Germain to slightly up their offer to sign Mauro Icardi on a permanent basis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Paris Saint-Germain will not exercise their €70 million option to buy the Argentine striker outright and the two clubs are instead in negotiations over a deal that will be worth in the region of €60 million plus add-ons.

The two clubs hope to finalise a deal for the 27-year-old within this week and once a deal is finalised Inter will then think about how they can spend the money raised through Icardi’s sale.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to state that Inter would like to bring in two full backs, at least one midfielder and possibly one central defender and a back-up for Samir Handnaovic.

Inter will also look to bolster their attacking options with the chances of Mattheus Cunha and Edinson Cavani at the club both increasing whilst the chances of Timo Werner arriving are decreasing.

Inter Threatening To Play Youth Team Vs Napoli In Coppa Italia Semifinal If It’s Played Before Serie A Resumes

Inter, Juventus and AC Milan have been infuriated by the fact that the remainder of the Coppa Italia will be played before the 2019/20 Serie A season resumes according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Barcelona Believe Inter Trying To Start Bidding War For €111M Rated Striker Lautaro Martinez

Signing Inter’s Lautaro Martinez and Juventus’ Miralem Pjanic this Summer is a priority for Barcelona but it will be far from easy according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet AS.

Inter continue to demand that Lautaro’s €111 million release clause is paid despite the fact that the highly rated 22-year-old has already reached an agreement over personal terms with the Blaugrana and will likely press to be allowed to leave.

The report also explains that Barcelona are of the belief that Inter are trying to get other clubs bidding for Lautaro to try and force them into upping their offer for him.

As for Pjanic, the report explains that Juventus and Barcelona were in talks over a swap deal that would have seen Arthur head in the opposite direction but the Brazilian national team player has told the clubs that he does not want to leave Barcelona.

Nerazzurri Defender Andrea Ranocchia: “I’m Happy With What I’ve Achieved At Inter”

In an interview with Inter’s official club website, central defender Andrea Ranocchia has explained how the creation of Froglife, a cartoon animated series which will recall some of the key moments of his career, came about.

“The idea to create Froglife came about a few months ago and emerged from my desire to recount some of the stages of my football career, describing the most significant experiences I’ve had in the process,” he began the interview.

“In collaboration with my agency, we’ve created this content which, despite only being a few minutes long, is significant and might remind others of the experiences they’ve had. Inter obviously receive a lot of attention in it because I’ve spent most of my career wearing these colours.”

He then went on to recall Inter’s 2010/11 Coppa Italia success which took place nine years ago today, which was his first and only trophy won during his time with the club.

“It took a lot of work, commitment and dedication to overcome what had become a difficult situation, with my passion for these colours also helping me along the way.”

He then went on to discuss his Inter career as a whole and admitted he is happy with what he has achieved in his time on the Nerazzurri’s books.

“A lot of things have happened, but I think the fact that I’ve always given everything for Inter has set me apart. In good times and bad, I’ve always tried to find solutions that could benefit the team, the group, the Coach and the Club.

“I’m happy with what I’ve achieved and the fact that I’ve won the affection of the fans. A lot of these events are recalled in Froglife because every clip of this mini-series refers to a particular moment of my life. This project includes a bit of everything, good moments and bad, and let’s hope that more great things are still to come.”

He then returned to speak further on the Froglife project and how his stance on social media usage has changed over the years.

“When this project was conceived, my immediate focus was on youngsters, because many people write to me on social media and tell me that my approach in the last few years and throughout my career is something they can relate to in their lives.

“Therefore, I believe that what I recount through the images and my voice can lead to moments of reflection or provide help.

“I’ve never been one for social media and like to keep my private life to myself, but over the years I’ve realised that a player has to adapt to the world around them and this includes the digital and social media side of things, which is continuously evolving and developing.

“This project was created to offer something different and explore new possibilities when it comes to describing your own story.”

Ranocchia joined Inter in January 2011 from fellow Serie A club Genoa and he has since went on to make 201 appearances across all competitions for the club in which he has scored 13 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Inter’s Contract Renewal Talks With Sebastiano Esposito’s Agents Hit Stumbling Block

Inter and Sebastiano Esposito’s representatives are some way apart in contract renewal talks according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

A long term contract extension seemed a certainty a short while ago but that no longer appears to be the case with some distance between what Inter are willing to offer and what Esposito’s representatives want for him.

As per the report, Esposito would like a contract similar to the one that Andrea Pinamonti signed before he had even debuted for the Inter first team.

The current Genoa striker was handed an €800,000 a year deal and Esposito would like similar but Inter are reluctant to give him that.

Inter would prefer to load the contract with add-ons but his representatives believe that this is too risky.

The report goes on to explain that Esposito is more than happy at Inter and in the next meetings an agreement which suits everyone will be sought.
