Italian Media Reports Inter Shift Focus From Liverpool Target Timo Werner To Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette

Inter are distancing themselves from RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner and focusing on other names for the attack including Arsenal’s Alexandre Lacazette according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset which was aired a short time ago.

Inter do not feel confident about the possibility of being able to land the 24-year-old German, who has also been linked with the likes of Liverpool.

This report claims that Inter are now interested in Lacazette, although a recent report from French news outlet L’Equipe has claimed that Lacazette has no interest in a move to Inter in the coming months.

The 29-year-old Frenchman, who has a contract with the Premier League side through to the end of the 2021/22 season, has made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions to date this term.

In his time on the pitch, the former Lyon player has scored nine goals and has provided three assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Reports Barcelona Can’t Afford To Sign Inter’s €111M Rated Striker Lautaro Martin ez

Barcelona do not have the financial power to pay Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s €111 million release clause according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The La Liga giants have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old for some time and have held negotiations with Inter over him but the offers made have fallen some way short of what Inter are demanding.

Inter want the Argentine national team striker’s release clause paid or failing that a player or players plus cash deal with a cash sum in the region of €80-90 million and one of the players must be Junior Firpo.

Barcelona’s best offer to date consisted of a cash sum between €50-60 million plus two players but Inter management quickly knocked back this offer.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided a total of four assists.

Spanish Media Claims Juventus To Go Head To Head With Inter Over Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal

Juventus are set to battle it out with Inter for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Bianconeri club have been in talks with Barcelona over a swap deal that would see Miralem Pjanic and Arthur exchanged but the Brazilian has informed both clubs that he wishes to stay where he is.

Ousmane Dembele could become the trade chip that Barcelona offer Juventus but the report goes on to explain that Juventus have asked for Vidal instead.

The Chilean national team player is no stranger to the Turin club having spent four seasons with them between 2011 and 2015 and he has also been heavily linked with a move to Inter, where he would be able to be reunited with Antonio Conte, who was his manager at Juventus.

This season Vidal has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided three assists.

Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio: “Icardi Wants PSG Stay, Cavani Not A Priority, Timo Werner Wont Come, Tonali Good Enough For Inter”

In a long interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago, Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio spoke on all things relating to Inter’s transfer market and gave a lot away with regard to potential incoming signings.

He started the interview by discussing Ivan Perisic, who is currently out on loan at Bayern Munch.

“The option to buy has already expired but we have excellent relations with Bayern and have granted them further time. We will talk about him later without problems,” Ausilio began the interview.

He then went on to discuss Mauro Icardi, who is reportedly set for Paris Saint-Germain.

“For him the situation is simpler, we are talking to Leonardo. We are trying to find the best solution. The figure was probably influenced by the crisis, so it is normal to be willing to talk about it, also because the boy wants to stay there.”

Next he discussed Radja Nainggolan, who, like Perisic and Icardi, was judged to be out of the club’s project.

“Cagliari doesn’t have an option to sign him so he will definitely come back to us. Today it is too early to talk about what will happen but together with him we will make various assessments.”

He then spoke on the futures of players currently on loan at Inter and with expiring contracts.

“The assumption is that there is the will to go on until the end of the season with everyone. We will talk about Borja Valero and Padelli’s contracts whilst we have already exercised the option to extend Young’s contract for next year.

“Alexis Sanchez? We want to focus on him in these coming months since he had done very well before his injury. After the injury he has had little time to play. He will have the opportunity to prove his worth and he wants to do well.”

He then went on to speak about Lautaro Martinez, who has been strongly linked with Barcelona and admitted that many clubs have contacted them about him.

“As far as Lautaro is concerned, there is only one road that can take him far from Inter and that is the payment of his release clause that is demanding, everyone knows that.

“The release clause has deadlines and very precise commitments. It begins on the first of July and does not last for a long time. We will not discuss or do a deal involving Lautaro in this period.

“The reason? We focus on him, he is important for the club and he still has a two-year contract with Inter. We have no intention of selling our best players. We want to keep them and this applies to Lautaro.

“Many clubs have contacted us for Lautaro. Barcelona are the most determined an we have a friendly and cordial relationship with them.

“I know that they know our intentions and that is that we have no plans to sell Lautaro Martinez. There is a clause and you have to pay it if you want him, I think I have been clear about that. There is no urgency to sell him.”

Next he spoke on highly rated Bresica and Italian national team midfielder Sandro Tonali.

“Having an Italian identity at Inter can be very important and we want to continue on this path. Tonali definitely has the qualities to play for Inter. He has all the parameters to be a Nerazzurri player but I do not know Cellino’s demands for him.”

He then went on to rule out the possibility of Timo Werner arriving at the club from RB Leipzig.

“We have always liked him but he won’t come, there are various reasons for this. I know what the boy and his representatives want. He has a release clause but he won’t come.”

He then went on to confirm that Inter are keeping tabs on Hertha Berlin attacker Mattheus Cunha.

“We know him, he has very good agents. He has been a good player from a very young age and he is now confirming that in the Bundesliga. We will follow him.”

Ausilio proceeded to discuss the media speculation relating to Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani and spoke further on the possibility of keeping Sanchez.

“He is not a priority simply because our attacking department is made up of Martinez, Lukaku and Sanchez.

“The latter now has the opportunity to demonstrate his qualities and then we will evaluate what to do with him.

“There is also Esposito, who is good but is very young and we will see if we will send him out on loan to gain experience. If we do, we would be needing a fourth striker and Cavani is not who we have in mind.”

Next Ausilio went on to downplay the rumours linking Inter with a move for Arturo Vidal.

“Right now he is not an option. Our midfield is strong and we want to improve it through the growth of talents like Barella and Sensi and then there is Eriksen too who only needs time to settle in better.”

He then reflected on Inter’s season so far.

“We have performed beyond our expectations. We have rebuilt with a great coach in Conte and we are still in the running in three competitions.”

He concluded by sharing his view that many clubs are afraid to make moves at the moment.

“There are no low prices. In fact some have even increased. It seems to me that everyone is afraid to take the first step, I am concerned. I think it will be long and the fireworks will be in September.”

RB Leipzig CEO Mintzlaff On Inter & Liverpool Target Timo Werner: “He Wont Get Any Cheaper”

RB Leipzig’s chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has admitted that star man Timo Werner’s price will not get any cheaper amid continued speculation with regard to his future at the club.

The prolific 24-year-old German national team striker has drawn links to a whole array of clubs ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window, especially Liverpool.

Inter have also been heavily linked with making a move for the former Stuttgart player in the event that Lautaro Martinez departs the club in the coming months.

“He won’t get any cheaper. We will not sell a player below value if he is under contract for more than a year,” Mintzlaff admitted in an interview with the online edition of German news outlet Sport BILD.

“In general, we always have to ask the following question – can we replace a player if we sell him for less than his market value? But, I only think about those things once I have the facts on the table.”

This season Werner, who has a contract with the Red Bull energy drink backed club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 39 appearances across all competitions to date.

In his time on the park, Werner has scored a total of 30 goals and has also provided a dozen assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Reports Inter Could Ask Man Utd To Extend Alexis Sanchez Loan By A Further Season

Inter could try and keep a hold of Alexis Sanchez past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Chilean national team attacker is currently on loan at the Nerazzurri from Premier League club Manchester United and if he is to have a good end to the season, Inter may consider trying to keep the former Barcelona player at the club.

There is an obvious difficulty to any move though and that is his bumper salary. The former Arsenal player currently earns €12 million a year at Old Trafford and Inter have not even covered as much as half of it for the duration of his loan with the club.

Whilst on loan at Inter, the 31-year-old has made 15 appearances across all competitions to date. In just under 600 minutes on the pitch, he has scored one goal and has provided three assists for his teammates.
