Official – The 2019/2020 Serie A Will Resume On 20th Of June & Coppa Italia On 13th Of June

The 2019/2020 Serie A season will resume in June, either on June 13th or June 20th, after an agreement was found between the Italian government and the Lega Calcio, Italian broadcaster Rai Sport reported moments ago.

The decision was reached after a videoconference meeting attended by Italian Minister of Sport Vincenzo Spadafora, the Lega Serie A, the Italian PFA, the FIGC and Association of Italian Sports Medics.

According to the report, Spadafora will ask Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to allow the matches to resume on June 13th instead of June 20th, in order to play the postponed matches from matchday 25, with the next round of matches being played the following week.

Inter’s match against Sampdoria was among these postponed matches.

In order for the June 13th target to materialize, Spadafora will have to convince the Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte to lift the decree which bans team sporting activities and which was said to expire on June 14th.

This decision follows after the scientific technical committee approved the medical protocol suggested by the Lega Calcio. These include provisions that state that if one member of a squad or staff tests positive for COVID-19, then the entire team must remain quarantined for 14 days in their training ground as well as the individual who tests positive.

Hertha Berlin Coach Labbadia On Inter Linked Matheus Cunha: “Enormous Potential But Still Has A Lot To Learn”

Hertha Berlin manager Bruno Labbadia has sang the praises of in-form Mattheus Cunha amid reports in the media linking him with a potential move away from the club.

The Brazilian youth national team striker has been in sublime form since his arrival in the German capital city in the most recent January transfer window with him having netted four goals and tallied a single assist in seven appearances across all competitions to date.

In the past few days reports have claimed that Inter have established contact with the newly turned 21-year-old’s representatives over a potential move to the club in the coming months.

A report in the media today has suggested that Inter may have to pay somewhere in the region of €30-35 million to land the former FC Sion star.

“He has enormous potential but he still has a lot of things to learn. He has the ability to always come up with something and despite not playing his best game, that is why we left him on the field,” Labbadia, who has been in charge since last month, remarked in his press conference today following Hertha Berlin’s 2-2 draw with Cunha’s former employers RB Leipzig yesterday.

Ivica Olic: “Bayern Munich Are Very Happy With Ivan Perisic Will Agree Terms With Inter Soon”

Former Bayern Munich and Croatian national team striker Ivica Olic has shared his belief that the Bavarian club are happy with on loan Ivan Perisic and should reach an agreement with Inter over his transfer just shortly.

He started an interview with Croatian news outlet TPortal by speaking on the former Borussia Dortmund player’s condition.

“Perisic had a very serious injury, just when he was in excellent shape. He was sidelined for three months, but now he’s back to training regularly.

“It is clear that he will need a little more time to return to the level he had reached in the previous months but the most important thing is that he is no longer in pain and has returned to training.”

Perisic joined the German Bundesliga club on a season long loan this past Summer from Inter with a €20 million option to buy attached and Olic then went on state that he thinks Bayern Munich will seek a discount on Perisic and the two clubs could possibly come to an agreement over him in the coming weeks.

“The club is very happy with him. Now Bayern will try to lower the price as because of this pandemic the purchasing power of the clubs is even weaker and I believe that in the next two or three weeks the clubs will sit down at the table and try to find an agreement.”

Whilst on loan at the Allianz Arena club, 31-year-old Perisic has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1300 minutes on the field, Perisic has scored five goals and has also provided a total of eight assists for his teammates.

Matias Vecino missed training yesterday as a result of picking up a knee problem according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team midfielder sustained the injury in the past few days and it has severely limited the movements that he can make.

Inter’s medical staff are to keep a close eye on the player’s condition and the club are hopeful that it is nothing too serious that could keep him out long term.

Recent reports in the media have suggested that the former Fiorentina midfielder’s time with the club could come to an end this coming Summer as Inter look to make way for reinforcements.

One report has suggested that Inter would allow him to depart the club if they were to receive an offer in the region of €22-25 million.

This season Vecino has made 23 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided one assist.

Inter Report 35% Drop In Revenue This Quarter Compared To The Same Quarter Last Year Due To Effects Of COVID-19

Inter have experienced a 35% drop in revenue in this last quarter compared to the revenues from the same quarter last year according to a report from Italian news out Calcioefinanza.it.

Inter posted revenues of €59.5 million in the last quarter compared to the €91 million revenues they posted this time last year but there is one key reason for this significant drop and that is the Coronavirus crisis, which has meant Inter have not played a game in close to three months.

The report goes on to add that Inter are currently unable to quantify the actual impact on their contracted sponsorship income either due to all the uncertainty brought about by the current situation. It is a similar situation when it comes to Serie A television money revenue too.

It also goes on to add that Inter are uncertain as to whether they will receive a pay out worth around €6 million from UEFA in television rights money.

Spanish Media Reports Inter Linked Arturo Vidal Wants To Stay At Barcelona To Win The Champions League

Arturo Vidal wishes to win the Champions League with Barcelona before moving to Inter according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

The Chilean national team midfielder has won trophies everywhere he has played but the Champions League trophy has continued to elude him.

Inter and Barcelona have had 15 meetings regarding a potential deal for Lautaro Martinez but Vidal’s name has never been brought up in conversation.

Inter manager Antonio Conte would like to be reunited with Vidal, who he worked with at Juventus and rather than potentially acquire him as part of a deal for Lautaro, Inter would prefer to do a separate deal for the 33-year-old.

Vidal, whose contract with the Blaugrana club is due to expire at the end of next season, has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and tallied three assists.

German Journalist Claims Inter Aren’t Among Clubs Interested In RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner

Inter are not one of the clubs interested in signing RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner at least according to German football journalist Christian Falk.

The Sport BILD journalist took to Twitter to announce that Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool are all keen on signing the 24-year-old German national team striker but none of them are willing to pay €55 million to sign him.

An Inter fan then queried if the Nerazzurri are interested in signing the former Stuttgart striker but Falk simply responded with ‘No’.

Werner has been one of the most prolific goalscorers in European football in recent seasons and appears destined to depart the Bundesliga club in the coming months.

Werner, who has a contract with the Red Bull energy drink backed club until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 39 appearances across all competitions to date. In just under 3100 minutes on the field, Werner has scored 30 goals and provided 12 assists.
