Italian Report Warns Finding Agreement Over Expiring Contracts & Loan Deals Will Be Complex

Finding an agreement on the extension of expiring contracts and loan deals will be complex, a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport has warned.

With seasons postponed, some cancelled, some back underway and some hopeful of resuming soon, there is a lot of confusion when it comes to whether contracts and loan deals will still expire at the end of next month or not.

World football’s governing body FIFA, European football’s governing body UEFA and Italian football federation FIGC cannot get involved in legal agreements between parties, whether that be players and clubs or clubs with other clubs.

For the time being, it is currently up to the clubs to come to agreements with players with expiring contracts or clubs they have loaned players to or from.

Inter have a few players with expiring contracts and have many players out on loan namely the likes of Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic and at the moment clubs have a lot of questions that there does not appear to be answers for.

Important Week Ahead For Possible Resumption Of The 2019/20 Serie A Season

This week is to be a key week for the possible resumption of the 2019/20 Serie A season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Tomorrow the Lega Serie A council will meet and discuss the criteria for how the season can end but there will be no decision on possible playoffs, at least for now, as the Lega Serie A council would like to play all of the remaining fixtures if possible.

The idea of playoffs could possibly be discussed on Friday but the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that reaching an agreement would be far from easy as the Italian football federation (FIGC) would ultimately like to involve as many clubs as possible.

It also goes on to add that this week a definitive decision on whether the season will resume and a possible date for when that could be will be defined.

Inter’s Turnover Could Be Reduced By Up To €215M If All Matches Played Behind Closed Doors

Clubs across Europe, including Inter, are likely to experience a reduced turnover next season as a consequence of the Coroanvirus crisis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica.

With games possibly being played behind closed doors or in front of hugely reduced crowds, at least in the beginning, clubs across the continent will miss out on all important match day revenue and there will also be a drastic drop in television rights income too.

No one club will be exempt the report warns and it goes on to reveal what some clubs turnover’s could look like compared to this season.

Inter’s turnover could be almost halved from €460 million down with them at risk of losing €215 million, Juventus’ could also lose the same amount as well.

Roma’s turnover could be reduced from €231 million by €90 million whilst Napoli’s could be reduced from €207 million by €70 million.

Barcelona could perhaps be worst impacted with the report suggesting their turnover could drop by some €450 million.

Inter & Torino Set To Meet To Discuss Future’s Of Robert Gagliardini & Armando Izzo

Inter and fellow Serie A side Torino are to hold talks over several players ahead of the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Newly appointed Torino technical director Davide Vagnati has organised an appointment with Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta for this week and several names will be brought up in conversation between the two clubs.

Inter are very interested in signing Armando Izzo to bolster the defence whilst Torino are keen on Roberto Gagliardini but Inter do not want to let the former Atalanta player to depart the club in the coming months, despite the fact he has been a bit-part player this term for them.

For this reason Matias Vecino’s name will likely be discussed by Vagnati and Marotta and the report from CalcioMercato.com goes on to conclude that Torino midfielder Daniele Baselli’s name could also be brought up in conversation.

Fiorentina Join Inter, Lazio & Napoli In Tracking Hellas Verona’s €30M Rated Marash Kumbulla

Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla is one of several players that Fiorentina have identified as a transfer target as they look to revolutionise their defence in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of La Nazione.

The Italian born Albanian international is amongst the most promising players currently plying his trade in Serie A and could be brought in to replace either Germain Pezzella or Nikola Milenkovic, who La Viola are considering selling.

Italian Media Reports Eintracht Frankfurt To Replace Inter Linked Filip Kostic With Inter Linked Atalanta Wingback Robin Gosens

Eintracht Frankfurt have identified Atalanta defender Robin Gosens as a player they could go in for in the event that Filip Kostic departs the club in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of TuttoMercatoWeb.

Inter and a host of Premier League clubs have been linked with potentially making moves for Serbian national team player Kostic, who could cost in the region of €40-50 milllion. The Nerazzurri have also recently been linked with Atalanta’s Robin Gosens too.

If he goes for that amount, Eintracht Frankfurt will have more than enough funds to pursue a move for Gosens, who Atalanta are said to value in the region of €25-30 million.

Eintracht Frankfurt are however not the only club to have developed an interest in signing the former Heracles Almelo player with reports elsewhere in the media stating Inter, Chelsea and Leicester City are all keen on signing him too.

This season Gosens has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored eight goals and tallied five assists.
