Inter Wing-Back Ashley Young: “We’re Ready For Tonight, We Want To Win & Get The 3 Points”

Inter wing-back Ashley Young has insisted that the team want to get back to winning ways and pick up three points in tonight’s clash with Hellas Verona which is due to kick off just shortly.

“We are ready for tonight, we want to get back to winning and get the three points,” he remarked in an interview with Inter’s official club broadcaster Inter TV at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi a short time ago.

He was then asked what he is expecting from Hellas Verona, who have been one of the biggest revelations of the 2019/20 Serie A season with them surprisingly challenging for European qualification despite only just being promoted.

“I know the boys, we will do our best. We will have to be very careful and stay focused.”

Young, who has turned 35-years-old today, was then asked whether there is anything he wants specifically for his birthday: “Yes, I only ask for three points.”

Moments later he spoke with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia and added: “We must certainly look forward, thinking game to game and getting as high as possible in the table. Today is my birthday, I just want the three points.”

Young arrived at Inter on an initial six month contract from Manchester United back in the January transfer window and having impressed, Inter recently exercised their option to extend his contract until the end of next season.

The Englishman is set to make his 14th appearances for the club with him in the starting line-up tonight. In his first 13 appearances, he has scored two goals and provided as many assists.

Inter are close to wrapping up a deal to sign FC Luzern youngster Darian Males according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter are close to agreeing a deal that will cost somewhere between €3-4 million and they appear set to pip both Atalanta and Valencia to the Swiss youth national team representatives signature.

UK Tabloid Claims Inter, Juventus & Sevilla All Keen On Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin

Inter are one of three sides who have an interest in signing Arsenal full back Hector Bellerin according to a report from the online edition of British news outlet The Daily Express.

With Arsenal signing Cedric Soares outright, Bellerin has seen his future come under question at the north London club and the uncertainty surrounding his Gunners future has led to clubs showing an interest in signing him.

Inter aside, the report explains that Juventus as well as Sevilla, who have made enquiries, are both also interested in the Spaniard, who is a product of Arsenal’s academy.

Bellerin has been part of Arsenal’s first team since 2014 and has a contract with the Premier League side until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season Bellerin has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just under 1700 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Reports Romelu Lukaku The Only Player Inter Coach Antonio Conte Deems To Be Non-Transferable

Romelu Lukaku is the only player who is considered as indispensable at Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, which was aired a short while ago.

The Belgian national team striker has fired in 26 goals in his first season at Inter following his club record €65 million arrival from Manchester United this past Summer.

Conte is unhappy with the recent form of the side and is prepared to make sensational decisions to change the club’s fortunes going forward, the report continues.

According to the report Lukaku aside, Inter manager Antonio Conte deems every player in the squad to be transferable, even the likes of Marcelo Brozovic and Milan Skriniar, in the event a resounding offer is made for them.

Should players such as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Nicolo Zaniolo or Paul Pogba, who are more suitable for his system, arrive, Conte would even be willing to let January transfer window recruit Christian Eriksen leave the club.

The report goes on to add that Inter are working to complete the signings of both Sandro Tonali and Emerson Palmieri as quickly as possible and will also make an attempt to bring Roma captain Edin Dzeko to the club whilst they will continue to follow David Alaba.

Man Utd Coach Solskjaer On Inter Linked Paul Pogba: “We Want To Keep Our Best Players”

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come out and admitted that he hopes an agreement can be reached to keep Paul Pogba with the club in the long term.

The French national team midfielder’s contract is due to expire at the end of next season although the Premier League club do have an option to extend it by a further season.

Pogba has spent most of the season out on the sidelines due to injury but has recently returned to action and has found himself linked with a host of clubs including Inter, Juventus and Real Madrid.

“We want to keep the best players around the club and hopefully we can do something,” he explained in an interview, as quoted by BBC Sport.

“We want to build a squad for the future. We have secured one at the start [McTominay] and another who is really experienced [Matic] but we also need players in the mid-range group.”

The Norwegian manager then went on to insist that Pogba has been enjoying himself since making it back onto the pitch.

“Since Paul has come back he’s looking better and better. He’s enjoying his football so let’s see where it takes us.”

This season 2018 World Cup winner Pogba has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just over 900 minutes, he has provided four assists for his teammates.

IC Markets To Become Inter’s First Shirt Sleeve Sponsor From Next Season

Starting from next season Inter will have their first ever shirt sleeve sponsor in IC Markets according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

IC Markets is an Australian based online retail forex and contract for difference broker and they could pay Inter in the region of €10 million a year.

Shirt sleeve sponsorship has become commonplace in English football and in other leagues and Inter are now getting on board themselves and many other Italian clubs are likely to follow them.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that whilst Inter have sorted out their shirt sleeve sponsorship, it remains to be seen who will be their new main shirt sponsor.

Their current deal with Pirelli, which started way back in 1995, is set to expire at the end of next season and it will not be renewed and the search for a new main shirt sponsor is ongoing. Reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Samsung or Evergrande could become the main shirt sponsor.
