Inter have taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to share a video of the players back in training at Suning Training Centre in memory of Angelo Moratti.

The minute and a half long video shows the players competing against each other in races with the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, Antonio Candreva all featuring.

The video also shows the players carrying out various other running based exercises such as running to and from training cones.

Inter have announced that they are to compete in the ‘European Solidarity Cup – Football for heroes’ alongside fellow top clubs Bayern Munich and Real Madrid next year in an official statement posted on the club website.

The three teams will face off in a round robin style tournament at some point next year and the dates of the tournament will depend on each team’s schedule and when fans will be able to attend games again.

Inter will face Bayern Munich in Milan at San Siro, Real Madrid at their Santiago Bernabeu stadium and Real Madrid and Bayern Munich will play one another at Bayer Munich’s Allianz Arena.

The net proceeds from the matches will all go toward supporting medical infrastructures in each of the clubs respective countries as a symbol of unity.

As part of the official statement, Inter president Steven Zhang shared his thoughts on the tournament and spoke on some of the reasons behind it taking place.

“The pandemic has hit people all over the world with great force. The great commitment of all healthcare workers has been essential to now allow us to look to the future. With this initiative we want to thank them and celebrate their work and at the same time send a message of unity and solidarity between nations.”

Barcelona teen sensation Xavier Mbuyamba’s agent Carlos Barros has revealed that there are a host of top clubs in contention to sign his client.

The 18-year-old centre back joined Barcelona this past Summer from MVV Maastricht in his native Netherlands and has been playing with Barcelona’s under 19 side this term. He has also trained with both Barcelona B and even the first team.

The Dutch under 19 national team player has a contract with the Blaugrana club until the end of the 2022/23 season but given the amount of interest he may not even be with the club next season let alone then.

“Almost all the major clubs have asked about Xavier. Real Madrid also, they’re serious about their youth system, but that would be a sensitive switch. Juventus and Inter are interested too as are the best clubs in Germany and England,” Barros remarked in an interview with the online edition of Dutch news outlet Voetbal International.

Barros then went on to reveal how impressed he was with what Chelsea had to offer his client prior to his move to Barcelona.

“Chelsea have the best papers, we discussed this extensively last year. They gave a fantastic presentation. There is a unique football atmosphere there. During lunch you are immediately with the first team players and the club has outlined a very ambitious plan for Xavier.

“They really think that in one to two years, he can be in the first team. Frank Lampard has of course already proven that he is not afraid to play young players. Being in the starting line-up at Chelsea at the age of twenty would of great of course.”

Barros then discussed a potential return to the Netherlands for his client.

“Ajax is actually the only club in the Netherlands that can compete financially against those top clubs, but you don’t just play there and a switch from Barça to Jong Ajax is not an option for Xavier.

“In that respect, AZ is a more logical choice, they are the most concrete option in the Netherlands. FC Utrecht has a partnership with Barcelona and could also be an option on a loan basis.”

Georgios Vagiannidis has reached a verbal agreement over personal terms with Inter according to a report from Greek news outlet Panathinaikos24.gr.

The player has made it clear that he wishes to try his luck abroad in a telephone conversation with the club president today and is unwilling to listen to what the Greek Super League side have to offer him in terms of a contract extension.

The report goes on to state that his next team probably will be Inter given he has agreed to a three year contract with the Nerazzurri club and that Panathinaikos will receive a sum of €400,000 for the highly rated 18-year-old full back.

Vagiannidis has made his first team debut this season for Panathinaikos but has mainly played his football this term for their under 19 team.

All in all, he has has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and tallied a single assist.

Italian minister for sport and youth policies Vincenzo Spadafora has revealed that at the end of the month a date for when the 2019/20 Serie A season can resume can be given.

The season was put on hold back in March due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, the worst of which has since passed in Italy and the Italian government banned all team sports to play until June 14th.

Just hours ago Spadafora claimed that a date could not be given due to the lack of any guarantees, but after the medical protocol the Lega Calcio proposed was passed by the Scientific Committee appointed by the Italian government to deal with the crisis, Spadafora has now revealed the date on which an announcement on when the Serie A season will resume will be made.

“I called a meeting a little while ago, to be held on 28th of May, at 3 pm, with Gravina, Dal Pino and all the other representatives, because I think that by that date we will have all the data to be able to, together with the Government, decide the date for when the season can resume,” he explained whilst speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai 2 show ‘TGSport’ earlier this evening.

Spadafora was then asked about the prospect of the remainder of the Serie A season being decided by a series of playoffs.

“The format will be decided by the federations, the important thing is to resume the season. Any solution can be valid to end the season.”

Atalanta want in the region of €25-30 million for coveted defender Robin Gosens according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

As per the report, Gosens is a transfer target of Inter, Napoli, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Leicester City.

Gosens has recently admitted that he dreams of playing in the Bundesliga but rather than for Borussia Dortmund he dreams of playing for their arch rivals Schalke.

Chelsea are interested in signing him with them set to offload Emerson Palmieri whilst Leicester City have identified him as a potential replacement for Ben Chilwell, who has been linked with a number of other clubs.

Gosens has starred this season for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side, who he is under contract with until the end of the 2021/22 season.

He has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored eight goals and provided a total of five assists for his teammates.

Contact between Inter and Barcelona with regard to Lautaro Martinez is constant but there is still some distance between the clubs according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Barcelona do not want to pay the highly rated 22-year-old striker’s release clause of €111 million and are instead looking to do a player plus cash deal for the Argentine national team player.

As things stand, Inter currently prefer the idea of acquiring Junior Firpo opposed to Nelson Semedo as part of a deal for Lautaro, who joined the club in a circa €20 million deal back in the Summer of 2018 from Superliga Argentina outfit Racing Club.

Since joining Inter, Lautaro has cemented himself as one of the most promising strikers on the planet with him having netted a total of 25 goals and provided five assists for his teammates in 66 appearances across all competitions to date.

Inter intensify their pursuit of Paris Saint Germain’s Edinson Cavani after Dries Mertens has chosen to extend his contract with Napoli according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

According to the report, Inter have been in contact with the Uruguayan national team striker in the past few days over a potential free transfer move to the club in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

The veteran forward has a high salary and the report goes on to claim that his arrival largely depends on what happens with Lautaro Martinez, who continues to be linked with a potential Summer transfer window switch to Barcelona.

Cavani, who has been with Paris Saint Germain since the Summer of 2013, has been absolutely prolific throughout his time in the French capital.

In seven years with the club the former Napoli player has made a total of 301 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored a highly impressive 200 goals.

Di Marzio goes on to report that Alexis Sanchez is also keen to convince Inter management to keep him around at the club past the end of this season.

The Chilean has had a largely unforgettable loan spell but will do his utmost to impress if/when the season resumes.

Inter could potentially go back in for Udinese midfielder Rodrigo de Paul in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter have monitored de Paul in recent months and the player was seemingly open to completing a move to Inter, who are far from alone in having shown an interest in signing him.

AC Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are all also said to be interested in signing the Argentine national team player, who Udinese valued at €35 million back in the most recent January transfer window.

The Bianconeri club have however promised the player they will drop their demands for him this Summer and for this reason Inter could go back in for him.

The 25-year-old has starred this season for Udinese and has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored five goals and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
