“The new agreement includes a €38 million release clause but due to the impact Covid-19 has had on the economy it will have to be renegotiated.”

The 24-year-old has impressed in his first season in Italy with the Rossoblu, who he joined from Superliga Argentina giants Boca Juniors on a five year contract.

Italian Sports Minister Spadafora: “I Can’t See Why The Serie A Season Can’t Resume On June 13”

Italian minister for sport and youth policies Vincenzo Spadafora has admitted that if all goes to plan, he cannot see any reason as to why the 2019/20 Serie A season could resume on June 13, the date that was prospectively set by Lega Serie A in the past few days.

“The theme is that football training had to resume on Monday on the basis of a protocol that I did not choose, neither the Scientific Technical Committee, but one that was proposed by the Italian football federation, Lega Serie A and Lega Serie A president Dal Pino,” he explained in an interview with Italian television channel Rete 4 earlier on today.

He then went on to discuss the fact that there is currently difficulty being experienced by those who proposed the protocol when it comes to applying it as all clubs simply do not have the required facilities to carry it out.

“Today with surprise we read that Lega Serie A has difficulty applying a protocol that they have proposed themselves, especially with respect to the fact that the teams must go into self-isolation.

“This is something they proposed. Today they have realised that the teams do not have the appropriate structures to begin this self-isolation. This was proposed to them by themselves and if they are not able to apply it we take note of it and we will look at it with the Scientific Technical Committee.”

He then went on to reiterate that all team sports will be able to resume training as groups from this coming Monday and also spoke on the possible resumption of the season in the middle of next month.

“All team sports will restart on Monday, so for me it is that if the FIGC believes that there are no conditions to isolate the team, it is okay, do not self-isolate the team and adapt to the rules of the rest of the sports as long as they respect the minimum rules that all other sports will respect which are those of distancing.

“We give maximum availability to football. If all goes to plan then I cannot see why on June 13 the season cannot be resumed.”

He was then asked whether or not Italy could follow in the footsteps of either Germany or Spain.

“We will review things depending on the evolution we see in the next ten days. Let’s see how these days go. If there is not obstructions or difficulties created, we will see if we can proceed by imitating Germany.”

Inter’s Roberto Gagliardini: “My First Champions League Game At The San Siro Is Unforgettable”

In an Instagram Live chat with a student from the Luiss University as part of the Luiss Sport Live Talk initiative earlier on today, Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini has spoken on a range of different topics.

The Italian national team midfielder first spoke on how he has coped with the current situation and what he has done to try and help out.

“It was not easy, I am in Milan but my parents live in Bergamo. Fortunately they are fine, but the news was certainly not comforting. There was great apprehension and I personally tried to be able to help the hospitals in Bergamo in some way. Let’s hope the situation continues like this, now that it’s improving.”

He was then asked about what he was doing to keep himself occupied whilst stuck inside for such a considerable amount of time.

“It was a happy time, if you can say that, because I got to experience life with my son like never before because of work. Seeing him grow and being with him is the most beautiful joy for me. I also played the PlayStations, studied and trained.”

He was then asked which is the most memorable game of his career so far.

“My first Champions League game played at San Siro is what comes to mind first. It was the first time that my son came to watch me at the stadium. I have many other games that I remember with great pleasure too.”

Next the former Atalanta player spoke on what it means to him to be able to play at San Siro every other weekend.

“It is a difficult feeling to explain in words. I still remember my first game at San Siro, it was unbelievable. Over time I do not want to say that you get used to it because playing there always has an effect but focusing on the game is in the foreground.”

Gagliardini joined Inter in the January transfer window in 2017 on an initial six month deal and after impressing in that spell Inter purchased him outright. The 26-year-old is under contract with the club until 2023 and has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date this term, in which he has scored two goals and tallied two assists.

Inter Coach Conte Could Change Formation To Suit Juventus Target Federico Chiesa If He’s Signed From Fiorentina

Inter manager Antonio Conte could change his system in order to incorporate Federico Chiesa if Inter sign him in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.

Inter have been heavily linked with making a move for the 22-year-old Italian national team winger for some time now and Conte could change from his tried and tested 3-5-2 system to a 3-4-2-1 system like he used at Premier League side Chelsea.

The report from the Turin based newspaper goes on to speculate that Chiesa could be used as an alternative up front, as an attacking midfielder in a 3-4-2-1 system or utilised as a right wing back in a 3-5-2 system.

This season Chiesa, who has a contract with La Viola through until the end of the 2021/22 season, has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the field, he has scored seven goals and tallied five assists.
