Newcastle United In Talks With Inter Over Signing €24M Rated Valentino Lazaro

Newcastle United are in talks with Inter regarding signing Valentino Lazaro on a permanent basis according to a report from British news outlet The Sun.

The Austrian national team full back joined the Premier League outfit on loan for the remainder of the season back in the January transfer window and as part of the deal the Magpies obtained an option to buy him outright for £21.5 million (approximately €24 million).

The St James’ Park outfit are currently subject to a takeover bid from a Saudi Arabian led consortium and the prospective new owners, who are reportedly close to finalising a deal, are said to be keen to splash the cash and Lazaro could be the first player they sign to begin their era in charge of the club.

The report goes on to explain that Inter are looking to offload the 23-year-old in the coming months whether that be to Newcastle or on loan to another Serie A club.

Inter & Juventus Linked Fiorentina Midfielder Castrovilli’s Agent: “He’s Doing Very Well In Florence”

Fiorentina midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli’s agent Michelangelo Minieri has reiterated that his client is happy in Florence amid continued speculation regarding his future in the Italian media as of late.

Castrovilli has been linked with both Inter and Juventus in particular among a few other clubs but Minieri has admitted he does not see his client moving on, at least in the short term.

“I don’t foresee anything about his future, it’s a difficult moment,” he began an interview with Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“If there will be a transfer market, it will be a transfer market with little money, based mainly on intuition and swap deals. Castrovilli obviously is not part of an exchange path and he is doing very well in Florence.”

23-year-old Castrovilli has been a real revelation in his first season in Serie A and was rewarded with a new long term deal by Fiorentina near the end of last year which has him tied to the club until the end of the 2023/24 season.

This season the Italian national team player has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2200 minutes on the field, he has scored three goals and tallied two assists.

Napoli’s Dries Mertens Set To Accept Inter’s 2 Year Contract Offer Worth €14M

In the past few hours Inter have intensified the pressure in their pursuit to sign Napoli’s Dries Mertens according to a report from the online edition of daily Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.

As per the report, Inter have extended a two year contract offer to the player. The offer consists of an annual salary of €5 million plus bonuses and should he join Inter, he will also receive a signing on bonus too.

The total value of Inter’s offer is equal to €14 million, which is the same worth as the contract extension Napoli offered to the Belgian national team player.

Despite this, the report goes on to explain that Napoli management and manager Gennaro Gattuso are still hoping to be able to keep a hold of the 33-year-old, who has spent the past seven years on the club’s books.

The idea of a contract renewal with Napoli is however growing increasingly remote for Mertens, who Chelsea have also shown an interest in signing.

Inter Linked Jesus Corona’s Agent: “He Wants To Play In The Serie A, He Has A €30M Release Clause”

Jesus Corona’s agent Matias Bunge has claimed that his client would like to play in Serie A amid links over a move to Inter.

The FC Porto winger has been linked with a move to the Nerazzurri club in Portuguese and Italian media as of late and in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it, Bunge discussed the interest.

“He would like to play in Serie A. He has a €30 million release clause but the next transfer market will be a strange one. There will be many swap deals and players prices will drop,” he explained.

Bunge, who also represents PSV Eindhoven midfielder Erick Gutierrez, then went on to discuss some of the qualities that his client possesses.

“Corona is a very fast player and able to play on both sides as he plays with both feet.”

Corona has been with his current employers since the Summer of 2015 and has a contract with the Liga NOS outfit until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Since his arrival from Dutch side FC Twente, Corona has made 211 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 26 goals and provided 51 assists for his teammates.

This season he has been virtually ever present with him having made 41 appearances across all competitions in which he has two goals and 17 assists.

Bayern Munich have asked Inter for more time to decide on whether they wish to sign Ivan Perisic on a permanent basis according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Italian Journalist Biasin: “Lautaro Will Only Leave For Barcelona On Inter’s Terms, There’s A Good Chance Tonali Ends Up At Inter”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has claimed that Inter are calm regarding the future of Lautaro Martinez despite the continuous links he has drawn over a move to Spanish giants Barcelona.

“It is clear that there is a fairly persistent attempt by Barcelona to get to Lautaro. Inter are however extremely calm,”
Biasin remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

“Marotta and Ausilio are calm because they have the knife on the handle side. Either Barcelona pays his €111 million clause, which the Spanish club cannot afford at the moment, or they must find a formula that Inter likes.

“Inter have protected themselves and my feeling is that Barcelona will try to the end and therefore Lautaro can eventually leave Inter for Barcelona but it will not be easy. Lautaro will only leave Inter if the transfer is good for Inter.”

He was then asked about RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and whether he is the ideal replacement for Lautaro, should the Argentine go on to leave Inter for Barcelona.

“I have no doubt that he can be the right player for Inter. He is a super player and he is only 24-years-old. Inter would be on the safe side if they brought him in. There is a lot of competition but if Inter were to sell Lautaro and focus on Werner, Inter would do a great thing.”

He then share his thoughts on Inter’s attack for next season which could potentially consist of one of Lautaro or Werner, Romelu Lukaku, Dries Mertens and Edinson Cavani.

“Such an attacking department would be extraordinary. Mertens and Cavani have important salaries. In particular, the first who would leave Naples for a mega salary.

“I like Mertens a lot, I believe that in the end he can stay there too but we will have to understand what De Laurentiis will do with him. Cavani can be part of the Icardi issue even if he earns a lot of money, the salary to come to Inter should be reduced.”

Biasin then went on to discuss Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who has been heavily linked with moves to Inter and their arch rivals Juventus.

“Inter believe in Tonali. Last year the management focused heavily on Barella, the same speech this year applies to Tonali. There is a good chance of seeing him in the Nerazzurri.

“Cellino is an old fix and will wait it out before giving a definitive yes to any team because there is a lot of competition.”

In conclusion Biasin spoke on what the future could hold for each of Mauro Icardi, Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic, all of whom were judged to be out of Inter’s project this past Summer and subsequently loaned out.

“None of the three will return to Milan and the Inter management will try and find new clubs for them. There is a concrete possibility that Inter could cash in on Icardi. With Marotta, Inter are well protected.

“Nainggolan could be used as an exchange pawn for someone like Fiorentina’s Chiesa as an example. A solution will also be found for Perisic, either with Bayern Munich or with another club but Inter will find a solution.”
