Ex Chile National Team Manager Pizzi: “Inter Would Be Ideal For Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal”

Former Chilean national team manager Juan Antonio Pizzi has shared his belief that Inter would be the ideal club for Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal to join if he opts to leave the Blaugrana.

In recent weeks and months links linking Vidal with a switch to Inter have resurfaced and a number of reports have suggested that Inter could well acquire him as part of a deal that would send Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona, who seemingly want to do a player(s) plus cash deal for him.

“Italian football is the ideal environment for the characteristics Arturo Vidal. If he decides to leave Barcelona, I think a move to Inter would be ideal for him,” Pizzi, who managed the Chilean national team between 2016 and 2017 remarked in an interview with Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

He then went on to talk about Alexis Sanchez who has had a rather forgettable loan spell at Inter from Manchester United this season.

“He showed the best version of himself are Arsenal and the Premier League is probably the best league for him to be in. He has to get back to believing in his enormous qualities as he has everything to be a top player again.

“He needs a coach who knows him, who gives him confidence and reassures him. He has to recover and be aware that consistency is found over time.”

Pizzi, who played for Barcelona between 1996 and 1998, then went on to state that he thinks Lautaro is indeed ready to make the jump from Inter to Barcelona.

“I think he has incredible potential and that he represents the type of striker perfect for their philosophy. He participates very well in the build up and has a huge instinct in front of goal. If he decides to move to the Azulgrana, I’m sure he would do very well.”

Spanish Media Claims Inter Linked Barcelona Fullback Semedo Prefers The Premier League To Serie A

Nelson Semedo prefers the idea of a move to the Premier League over a move to Serie A according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.

Recent reports have suggested Barcelona could send Semedo to Manchester City in exchange for Joao Cancelo who they would then move on to Inter as part of a deal for Lautaro Martinez whilst others have stated Barcelona could include Semedo in a deal for Lautaro.

The Portuguese national team player would however prefer the first option if he were given the choice to decide between the two although the report does claim that he is contemplating staying with the Blaugrana club.

The former Benfica full back knows his personal will will impact things but it all also depends on how talks go between clubs.

This season the 26-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has provided five assists for his teammates.

Inter Linked PSG Striker Edinson Cavani: “My Career Will Continue For Many More Years To Come Here Or Elsewhere”

Edinson Cavani has admitted to being unaware where his future lies just weeks before his current contract with Paris Saint Germain expires.

There has been no shortage of speculation regarding the Uruguayan national team striker’s future with some reports stating he will extend his stay with the French capital city outfit whilst he has also been linked with joining several clubs on free transfers with Inter among those clubs.

A recent report has even suggested that Inter manager Antonio Conte has told Inter management that he wants Cavani signed due to the fact his arrival would instantly up the level of his team.

“My career will maybe continue for many more years to come, here or elsewhere, I don’t know. I’ve spoken about it a lot with my representatives. I’ve always said that I would like to quit football rather than football quitting me,” he explained in an interview with Paris Saint Germain’s official club magazine.

“I’d really like to finish having given everything. To get to that point where I’d say, ‘Guys, this is the point where I have to go.’ I don’t want life to lead me to play when I wouldn’t be capable of giving my best.

“The day will come where it will be obvious that the time’s come to move on to something else.”

This season the former Napoli player has made 22 appearances across all competitions to date. In just shy of 1100 minutes, he has scored seven goals and has provided a total of three assists for his teammates.

Inter Refuse To Pay Barcelona More Than €10M For Arturo Vidal

Inter do not want to spend anything over €10 million to sign Arturo Vidal from Barcelona in the upcoming Summer transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

Vidal has been strongly linked with a move to Inter and reports have suggested that Barcelona would like to include him in a deal for Inter striker Lautaro Martinez but the Nerazzurri would rather do a separate deal for the Chilean national team player.

Inter management are willing to satisfy the demands of manager Antonio Conte who wants to be reunited with the 32-year-old but are unwilling to meet Barcelona’s €20 million demands for him given he will have just a year left on his deal come this Summer.

The report goes on to explain that Inter want to spend no more than between €8-10 million on him and adds that there will be no stumbling block when it comes to his salary.

Vidal previously accepted a two and a half year deal worth €5.5 million a year from Inter back in January prior to talks between the clubs breaking down and Inter’s offer will now be €6 million a year for two years.

Intermediaries Working Nonstop On Deal To Transfer Inter’s Lautaro Martinez To Barcelona

Intermediaries are working constantly to get a deal done which will see Inter striker Lautaro Martinez head to Barcelona according to a report from Italian news outlet PassioneInter.com.

Inter remain in a strong position given his release clause in his contract and also because both the player and his representatives are happy at Inter even if they have been flattered by the interest shown by the Blaugrana club in recent months.

The report goes on to explain that Lautaro would not be pulling his hair out if he had to stay put at Inter given his friendship with striker Romelu Lukaku and due to the presence of Antonio Conte.

In the coming weeks it will become clearer how willing Barcelona will be when it comes to satisfying Inter’s demands for the highly rated 22-year-old striker, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season.

This season Lautaro has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists.

Ex-Inter Striker Gabigol Ignores Brazil’s COVID-19 Lockdown Rules By Hosting Parties & Barbecues

Former Inter striker Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has been flouting Brazil’s Coronavirus lockdown rules according to reports in various Brazilian media outlets such as O Dia and Lance!.

Almost every country in the world finds itself in some sort of lockdown in a bid to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus but Gabigol has taken little notice of the regulations in Brazil and now risks getting himself into trouble for his actions.

As per the reports, the 23-year-old forward’s neighbours have claimed that he has been hosting all night long parties and barbecues with dozens of friends and others present at these events despite the rules in place.

Former Santos player Gabigol, who has five caps for Brazil, joined Flamengo on a permanent basis during the most recent January transfer window from Inter after a highly successful loan spell during 2019 in which he fired the Rubronegro club to Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and Copa Libertadores glory.
