Inter Women have taken to social media platform Twitter to announce the signing of Flaminia Simonetti from fellow Serie A Femminile side Roma.

23-year-old Simonetti has joined Inter Women on a season long loan from the Italian capital city club, who she began her career with.

The former Italian under 19 women’s national team representative has also played for Neunkirch and Empoli during her career.

Simonetti is the latest arrival at Inter Women and her arrival comes just days after Ilaria Mauro was signed from Fiorentina.

Inter have taken to social media platform Twitter to give fans a behind the scenes look at the team’s preparations for their upcoming Serie A match versus Hellas Verona.

Inter head into the match against Hellas Verona sitting in third place whilst their opponents are sitting in eighth place.

The last time that the two sides met back at the start of November, Inter won the match 2-1 with thanks to goals from Matias Vecino and Nicolo Barella.

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to share an image of himself in training ahead of Inter’s upcoming Serie A clash with Hellas Verona.

The Belgian national team player joined Inter in a club record €65 million deal from Premier League side Manchester United and is on the brink of matching his best ever season in front of goal with him needing just one more goal to match his current record of 27 goals.

OGC Nice have announced that Malang Sarr has now left the club and is thus a free agent via their official Twitter profile.

Sarr’s contract came to an end at last month but has remained with the club despite this but the Ligue 1 outfit announced this afternoon that he has now left the club.

There has been no shortage of interest shown in the 21-year-old central defender and it now remains to be seen where the France under 21 national team representative ends up.

In recent weeks Sarr has been linked with a potential move to Inter, who are reportedly looking to bolster their defence with the addition of another central defender.

With Sarr now being a free agent, Inter could decide to focus on him rather than move for Marash Kumbulla and Armando Izzo, both of whom Inter would need to pay a transfer fee for.

This past season Sarr made 20 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he scored a single goal.

They posted: “Having reached the end of his contract, Malang Sarr leaves OGC Nice. Child of the city and the club, he wanted to speak to the people of Nice before leaving. As usual: with class.”

They accompanied the post with a video containing his farewell message and some of his best moments at the club.

Yesterday represented a watershed day for negotiations between Inter and Barcelona over Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Libero.

The highly rated 22-year-old striker’s €111 million release clause expired yesterday thus meaning that from today Inter can now demand what they like for the Argentine national team player.

Inter are not openly looking to sell Lautaro and are understood to be considering offering him a new and improved contract but it will not be as good as the contract that the player has agreed with Barcelona, which will see him earn in excess of €10 million a year.

The report explains that Barcelona have dodged paying a €61 million fine for their signing of Neymar from Santos a few years back and will thus be able to use funds they would have otherwise spent on the fine toward signings in the transfer market.

The Nerazzurri club do not want negotiations to drag on and have set a hypothetical deadline of August for Lautaro to be sold or to have found a replacement for him plus another striker, who could be Roma captain Edin Dzeko.

This season Lautaro, who is under contract until 2023, has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists.

Inter have other priorities to Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

From January up until Lazio made an offer recently, Inter were seen as being just a step away from landing the highly rated Albanian national team defender but their pursuit came to a screeching halt when they decided they wanted to focus on signing players who are ready and have experience.

Inter have just spent €45 million to sign Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid and spending around €30 million on Kumbulla at the same time would be too much.

As per the report, Lazio have made the most recent offer for Kumbulla and that offer consists of €20 million plus a player for a total value of €26 million but the offer falls short of Hellas Verona’s €30 million demands.

Juventus are also understood to be interested but as things stand they are the furthest away of the three sides when it comes to signing him. There has been some contact but nothing more due to the fact they already have two young defenders in Matthijs de Ligt and Merih Demiral.

Inter are close to concluding a deal with Chelsea for Emerson Palmieri according to the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Il Messaggero.

The two clubs have come to an agreement in principle over a €25 million loan with obligation to buy deal for the Brazilian born naturalised Italian wing back.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to add that intermediaries are at work trying to iron out the final details and get the deal over the line.

It now appears that it is only a matter of time until Inter wrap up the signing of the 25-year-old, who has spent the past two and a half season with Chelsea following a transfer from Roma.

Palmieri has found himself in and out of the Chelsea side this term and in 19 appearances across all competitions to date, he has provided a single assist for his teammates at the Premier League club, who he has a contract with until 2022.
