Fiorentina President Commisso On Inter & Juventus Linked Chiesa: “We’ve Not Offered Him A New Contract, He Can Leave For Right Price”

Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso has confirmed that he will allow star man Federico Chiesa to depart the club in the coming months so long as a fair offer is submitted.

22-year-old Chiesa is widely regarded as one of the best young Italian talents out there at the moment and he has long drawn links with moves to Inter and Juventus in particular.

“We had a meeting before Christmas if I’m not mistaken. If he wants to go then I’m sorry, but we’d accommodate him, providing the offer is fair. We must also see what he’s worth,” Commisso explained in an interview with Italian radio station Radio Bruno Toscana tonight.

“His price may have dropped since last year. It must suit everyone, although there’s a chance that he’ll stay.”

American Italian businessman Commisso, who bought La Viola this past Summer, then went on to rubbish reports doing the rounds in the media that he has offered Chiesa a new deal.

A report in the media today suggested that Commisso had tabled Chiesa a contract extension which would have made him one of the highest earners players on the club’s books.

“I haven’t offered Federico anything. There hasn’t been a proposal, it’s fake news. The important thing is that a player wants to stay.

“Many players have understood that Fiorentina are aiming high. I don’t want to put anything in Chiesa’s mouth, he’s a very good lad.”

In conclusion he went on to discuss the relationship the club and the player have and insisted that he would like to keep him.

“We have a very good relationship and I want to keep him. I want to do the right thing for Fiorentina and, if he wants to go, we’ll accommodate him.”

This season Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the field, he has scored seven goals and has provided five assists for his teammates.

Italian Report Claims Barcelona Offered Umtiti To Both Inter & Juventus Who Both Declined

Barcelona have offered central defender Samuel Umtiti to Inter, Juventus and Napoli in recent weeks according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

The Blaugrana club are looking at moving the Frenchman on in the coming months and they are said to value him between €25-30 million.

Barcelona offered him to Juventus in talks over Miralem Pjanic whilst he was offered to Inter as part of talks regarding Lautaro Martinez.

Neither Inter nor Juventus are said to be interested in acquiring him with them instead focused on other players to reinforce the defence.

The report goes on to explain that Napoli deem the above price to be excessive, especially when his €4 million annual wages are added on top.

The 26-year-old 2018 World Cup winner, who has a contract with Barcelona until 2023, has been limited to just 16 appearances across all competitions to date this term with him having slid down the pecking order at the Camp Nou.

Inter Linked Sebastian Giovinco’s Brother: “Marotta & Conte Hold Him In High Esteem”

Giuseppe Giovinco has revealed that his brother Sebastian Giovinco could well return to Serie A in the future and could end up at Inter.

In recent weeks Giovinco has been linked with a potential Summer transfer window switch to Inter, who are looking for a back-up option for the attack to replace Alexis Sanchez, who is to return to Manchester United once his loan deal expires.

Fiorentina, Parma and Benevento have all also been linked with a move for Giovinco, who is currently on the books of Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal. He has a contract with them until December 31 2021.

“Seba only recently changed his agent, but I don’t know much about his future, as we try not to talk about football,” Giuseppe, who currently plays for Ravenna, explained in an Instagram Live chat with Italian transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.

“If there’s the chance of returning to Italy, he’ll take it into consideration. A link with Inter is pretty simple to spot, you just add two and two together, seeing as Marotta and Conte hold him in high esteem and know him well from their time at Juventus.

“If he does go to Inter, Seba will relight the passion I had for the Nerazzurri when I was a kid.”

This season Giovinco, who turned 33-years-old earlier on this year, has made 25 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided eight assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Offers Explanation Regarding The Communication Between VAR & Orsati In Inter Vs Juventus in 2018

In today’s print edition, Corriere dello Sport have claimed to reveal what happened in Inter’s 3-2 loss to arch rivals Juventus which is infamously remembered as the match where referee Daniele Orsato missed a clear red card.

Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, who was already on a booking, somehow avoided a red card after smashing Inter midfielder Rafinha with his forearm and in the past few days it has emerged that the VAR audio of the incident was missing and that it is the only incident from that season which does not have any audio which has led to many questions being raised.

As per the report from he Rome based newspaper, those in charge of VAR use ways to get around the rigid protocol in place to help the referee out on the pitch.

Since IFAB rules don’t allow VAR to be used to review yellow card offenses so a phrase they typically use to aid the referee is similar to ‘it’s not a red’ which is an indication to the referee that he has made a decision that cannot be reviewed by VAR.

In essence, those in charge of VAR told Orsato that the situation could not be reviewed by VAR and that he had to make a decision on his own.

Nerazzurri Legend Altobelli: “If Conte Wants Man Utd Midfielder Pogba Inter Will Try To Sign Him”

Legendary Inter striker Alessandro Altobelli has shared his belief that Inter making a move for Manchester United’s Paul Pogba will depend on Inter manager Antonio Conte.

Inter are one of a quartet of clubs to have been linked with the 27-year-old midfielder in the past few weeks with Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain all also being linked with him.

Understandably the 2018 World Cup winner will come far from cheap with one report today even suggesting a move could cost clubs in the region of €220 million when the transfer fee and the salary he will be paid are combined.

“Would Conte want him instead of Sensi or Barella? If Conte believes that Pogba can be the one seen at Juventus and France again and can help his Inter grow even more then I say that the club can try sign him but of course there is his salary which is scary as he earns twice as much as the others,” Altobelli explained in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

Pogba, who has been with the Premier League club since 2016 and has a contract with them until the end of next season, has made just eight appearances across all competitions to date this season due to injury, in which he has tallied two assists.

Ex-Inter Striker Also Serena: “Signing Pogba From Man Utd Would Help Inter Take A Leap In Quality”

Former Inter striker Aldo Serena has shared his belief that Inter manager Antonio Conte could get Paul Pogba back to his best if the Nerazzurri are to sign him.

In recent weeks Inter, Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain have all been linked with a move for the 27-year-old Frenchman, who has long been linked with a move away from current employers Manchester United, who he joined back in the Summer of 2016.

“It is true that there Paul’s growth has stunted a bit compared to his Juventus years, but he is a player of the highest level, who combines power and quality,” Serena remarked in an interview with Milan based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“He is in the middle of his career and at 27 he can give a lot and if he finds the right coach – and Conte is for me – he can go back to being decisive.”

Serena was then asked if he thinks that Inter could win the Serie A title if they were to add Pogba to their ranks this Summer ahead of next season.

“I don’t know because I expect a high level transfer market from Juve but I’m sure that with the Frenchman, Conte’s team would make a nice leap forward.”

This season Pogba, whose contract with Manchester United runs until the end of next season, has made just eight appearances as a result of a serious injury. In his short time on the field he provided two assists for his teammates.

Dries Mertens is on the verge of bidding farewell to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian national team attacker’s contract with the club is due to expire at the end of this season and Napoli are growing increasingly pessimistic about their chances of keeping a hold of him.

Napoli have offered the 32-year-old a contract extension but the player is seemingly all set to depart and has a number of other clubs vying for his signature.

Mertens joined the Stadio San Paolo club back in the Summer of 2013 and has made 311 appearances across all competitions since, in which he has scored 121 goals and provided 73 assists.

Lazio Director Tare On Inter & Juventus Target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: “If An €120M Offer Comes & He Wants To Leave There’s Nothing Wrong”

Lazio sporting director Igli Tare had admitted that the desire of the players themselves will play a big part in any outgoing transfers in the upcoming Summer transfer window.

A number of Lazio’s players have been linked with possible moves away from the Stadio Olimpico in the coming months with midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic among them.

The Spanish born Serbian national team midfielder has drawn no shortage of links to other clubs with Inter and Juventus both said to be interested in him from Italy.

Speaking in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia during their ‘Sky Calcio Club’ show, Tare spoke on what will happen if an Italian club comes in with a €120 million offer for the 25-year-old.

“What will happen if an Italian team comes in with an offer of €120 million? Let’s just say that the will of the players is fundamental,” he began.

“It is a matter of cycles. If a player thinks they have closed one cycle and want to try something else and if a move is done for the good of both sides, then there is nothing wrong.

“Napoli have sold important players but have still remained competitive and it can be the same with us too.

“Milinkovic-Savic has stayed in Rome for five years due to the solid link between him, the city and the club. Every year there have been temptations but our will and his have led to him staying put.”

This season the former KRC Genk player has made 31 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2500 minutes on the field, Milinkovic-Savic has scored five goals and has also provided seven assists.
