Italian Journalist Fabrizio Biasin: “From Tomorrow Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Must Cost €112M”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has taken to social media platform Twitter to comment on Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s comments regarding Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

Barcelona have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old striker for some amount of time now but have been reluctant to pay his €111 million release clause, which is set to expire in a matter of hours.

The Blaugrana club have reportedly wanted to do a player plus cash deal for the former Racing Club player instead but the offers they have reportedly made have fell short of Inter’s demands for Lautaro, who still has three years left to run on his contract with Inter.

Biasin has pointed out that once the release clause expires Inter will be able to demand more if they like for the Argentine national team player, who has scored 17 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions to date this season.

Biasin posted: “Bartomeu: “Today the Lautaro clause expires? Barça has no deadline for purchases”. OK perfect. The clauses, however, are an opportunity for those who buy, Lautaro Martinez costs 111 million today but, from tomorrow he must cost 112.”

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Expecting Immediate Reaction From Team Against Hellas Verona

Inter manager Antonio Conte is expecting an immediate response from his team in the upcoming match with Hellas Verona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Having watched his side throw away the lead and miss out on any points whatsoever this past weekend against Bologna, Conte wants to see the team react and the report adds that starting with Thursday’s match until the end of the season, including the Europa League, it will become clear who is deserving of remaining at Inter and who is not.

The Rome based news outlet go on to explain that Conte was not happy with Lautaro Martinez missing the penalty against Bologna but was even less happy with Romelu Lukaku, the designated penalty taker, for giving the penalty to the Argentine.

It also goes on to add has been a contradictory season for Inter. Italian Report Highlights Inter’s Lack Of Reliance On Substitutes Since Serie A Restart

In today’s print edition, Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport have highlighted Inter manager Antonio Conte’s lack of reliance on substitutes since the season got back underway last month.

In every single game since the Serie A season has resumed, Inter’s opponents substitutes have been on the pitch longer than Inter’s subs in terms of minutes played. Overall, opposition substitutes have spent three hours more on the field than Inter’s have.

The Milan based news outlet go on to explain that in the six games Inter have played since the season started up again, Nerazzurri substitutes have had a combined 466 minutes on the field. The opponents substitutes have meanwhile been on the park for 648 minutes, a difference of 182 minutes.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte Hopes To Have Nicolo Barella Back For Roma Clash

Inter manager Antonio Conte is hopeful that he will have Nicolo Barella back at his disposal for the match with Roma in just under two weeks time according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian national team midfielder missed this past weekend’s 2-1 defeat to Bologna due to injury and Inter confirmed yesterday that he has sustained a thigh injury.

Barella will miss Inter’s next three matches with Hellas Verona, Torino and SPAL but Conte hopes to have him back for the match against the Giallorossi at the Stadio Olimpico on July 19.

Barella’s injury is just the latest in a long line of injuries that Inter midfielders have picked up this term. Marcelo Brozovic and Matias Vecino have returned following their recent injury troubles but Stefano Sensi remains sidelined by injury.

Barring any further setbacks, Conte will have Brozovic, Vecino, Gagliardini, Borja Valero, Eriksen and Agoume available for Thursday’s clash with Hellas Verona.

Italian Media Report Inter Not Pleased With Antonio Conte’s Outburst After Bologna Defeat

Inter management were not pleased with Antonio Conte’s most recent outburst following the defeat to Bologna this past weekend according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The management did not like some of the comments he made post-match and felt that some of the comments he made were over the top.

Inter expected more from Conte not to the point where he had to win the league in his first season but at least remain in the race for the title far longer.

The report goes on to explain that the former Italian national team manager has become fed up with acting as a lightning rod, even at a media level and he wants to push club management to improve the squad at his disposal.

It adds that there are six players destined to leave and Conte is expecting more from the club’s big name players. It concludes that he wants two players added to the squad above all others and those players are Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal.

Barcelona Coach Setien On Inter Linked Arturo Vidal: “Don’t Know If He Wants To Stay Here”

Barcelona manager Quique Setien has admitted that he is unaware whether Arturo Vidal wants to remain at Barcelona but is still counting on him regardless.

Since last Summer the Chilean national team midfielder has found himself continually linked with a potential transfer to Inter.

It has been widely reported that Inter manager Antonio Conte would like to be reunited with Vidal, who he worked with at Juventus and Vidal arguably played his best football under the tutelage of Conte.

It is understood that Conte wants Vidal brought in due to him being well aware what he is all about, his methods and because of his winning mentality, something which is certainly lacking at Inter, who are aiming to return to previous heights.

“He is giving us a lot, he generates enthusiasm and commitment. He is always ready to work and to help out and it is commendable. It is good to have such players in a football team,” Setien explained in his press conference ahead of their match with Espanyol.

“Of course, there are many possibilities that he will stay here. He has a contract with us but I don’t know if he wants to continue, I’m counting on him and the players who have a contract.”

This season Vidal has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date. During is time on the park, which totals 1925 minutes, he has scored seven and provided three assists for his teammates.

Inter Not Getting Involved – Napoli Firmly In Pole Position To Sign Lille’s Victor Osimhen

Napoli have no need to fear of being overtaken by Inter their pursuit of Lille’s Victor Osimhen according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Inter have not entered the race to sign the highly rated Nigerian national team striker and this report insists that Napoli remain firmly in pole position to land the 21-year-old, who has had a stellar season at Lille.

Osimhen is one of several strikers to have been linked with potential moves to Inter ahead of the upcoming transfer window with it understood that the likes of Hertha Berlin’s Mattheus Cunha are also under consideration.

Osimhen came through the ranks at Ultimate Strikers Academy in Nigeria and was snapped up by Bundesliga side Wolfsburg in January 2017. After two and a half seasons in Germany he moved to Belgian side RSC Charleroi where he spent a season before being snapped up by Lille this past Summer.

In what looks to be the only season he will have at Lille, Osimhen has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 18 goals and provided a total of six assists for his teammates.

No Inter For Bayern Munich’s David Alaba – Will Either Extend Contract Or Leave For Real Madrid Or Barcelona

It seems almost certain that Bayern Munich’s David Alaba will not move to Inter in the coming months according to a report from the online edition of German news outlet Sport BILD.

Reports have linked Inter with the Austrian and football agent Ivan Reggiani has claimed that there is an agreement but Sport BILD dismiss this claim and state that it is “rather unrealistic.”

As things stand, Alaba has two options on the table. He either signs a contract extension with Bayern Munich or he moves to one of Barcelona or Real Madrid, provided they meet Bayern Munich’s demands for him.

The report goes on to add that Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Chelsea all also have an interest in signing the 28-year-old full back, who is also capable of playing at centre back.

This season Alaba has made 38 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored two goals and provided two assists.
