Spanish Media Claims Inter Negotiating With Fiorentina For €60M Rated Federico Chiesa

Inter are in negotiations with Fiorentina over Federico Chiesa according to a report from Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo journalist Francesc Aguilar.

As per Aguilar’s report, Inter are well aware that they will not be able to count upon Lautaro Martinez next season and they are thus working on a deal for Chiesa, who they believe to be the best possible replacement for the Argentine, who has drawn no shortage of links to reigning Spanish champions Barcelona.

Should Lautaro go on to leave Inter for Barcelona or another club, the funds will be there to bring in a replacement and it appears as if that replacement will be Chiesa, opposed to the likes of Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, who have both also been linked with Inter.

This season 22-year-old Chiesa has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.

Inter To Go After Everton Striker Moise Kean Should Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez Depart

Inter could make a move for Everton’s Moise Kean if Lautaro Martinez departs in the coming months according to a report from British news outlet The Daily Express.

Lautaro continues to be heavily linked with a move to La Liga giants Barcelona and Inter have identified Kean as a potential replacement for him.

The 20-year-old only joined Everton this past Summer but has struggled to live up to expectations and the report states that Inter could well offer him a way out of the Goodison Park side, who would like to make their money back on him.

The report goes on to add that Kean would be open to listening to offers to possible return home due to fears that another poor season with Everton could ruin his chances of being included in Roberto Mancini’s squad for the European Championship’s.

This season the former Juventus starlet has scored just one goal and tallied two assists in 26 appearances across all competitions to date.

Fiorentina Owner Commisso: “Inter & Juventus Target Chiesa Can Leave If He Asks To Or If We Get A Good Offer”

Fiorentina president and owner Rocco Commisso has confirmed which two conditions which Federico Chiesa will be allowed to leave the club under.

The highly rated Italian national team winger has long drawn links with moves away from the club with Inter and Juventus in particular both strongly interested in signing him.

Commisso has said on numerous occasions that he does not want to let go of Chiesa, who has spent his entire career with La Viola, but he has today admitted that he would let him go if the player asks to leave or if an offer in line with what the club value him at arrives.

“There are two conditions where he could go away. The first is that Federico asks me to go and he has not done this. The second is that an offer in line with the evaluation that the club has for him arrives,” American-Italian businessman Commisso explained in an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in today’s print edition.

“Chiesa has never told me, nor Joe Barone, nor Daniele Prade, that he wants to leave. I have not been in Florence for two months and when I return the futures of Chiesa and Castrovilli are not the first problem I’ll have to face but the second one.”

This season the 22-year-old has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date. In just over 2100 minutes on the park, he has scored seven goals and has provided five assists.

Barcelona Coach Setien: “Neither Pessimistic Nor Optimistic About Chance Of Coaching Inter’s Lautaro Martinez”

Barcelona manager Quique Setien has refused to get too carried away by the prospect of managing Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in the coming months.

The Argentine national team striker has been heavily linked with a move to Setien’s side for a number of months now and it is understood that he is one of, if not their top transfer target ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Inter, as per various reports, are reluctant to let the highly rated 22-year-old forward go but could find themselves left powerless if his €111 million release clause is triggered during the first two weeks in July when it is active.

Reports elsewhere in the media have meanwhile suggested that Barcelona do not want to pay his release clause and would rather do a player(s) plus cash deal for him with there having been no shortage of suggestions when it comes to players who could potentially be included in such a deal.

“I am not pessimistic or optimistic about Lautaro. He is a player that I like as I like great footballers, but I have no illusions,” Setien explained in an interview with Spanish radio station Onda Cero.

Inter To Splash €111M From Lautaro’s To Barcelona & Icardi To PSG On Bayern Munich’s Tolisso, Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri & Man Utd’s Martial Among Others

Inter could have significant funds available to them to invest into the squad in the upcoming transfer window thanks to a series of player sales according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Paris Saint Germain will sign Mauro Icardi on a permanent basis meaning Inter are guaranteed to pocket a sum of €70 million.

Joao Mario, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic and one of Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino will be sold on too in the coming months.

Inter could have even greater funds available to them if Lautaro Martinez is to depart with him having a €111 million release clause in his current contract with the club.

If Lautaro does go on to leave, Inter will try to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner, who has a €60 million release clause but they are likely to face competition from Bayern Munich for his signature.

Inter do have alternatives to Werner in mind but for the time being they are less convincing. The alternatives are Manchester United’s Anthony Martial, Lille’s Victor Osimhen and Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic.

Inter may also add another striker to their ranks in the shape of Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud, who is seen as a the perfect back-up option to Romelu Lukaku.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that Inter could sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso and Chelsea defender Emerson Palmieri too.

Inter Forward Alexis Sanchez Has Returned To Italy After Spending 2 Weeks In Chile

Inter forward Alexis Sanchez flew to Italy this morning after spending two weeks at home in Chile, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Chilean newspaper El Mercurio.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward, who is currently on a dry loan at the Nerazzurri from Premier League side Manchester United, returned to his native country on the 3rd of April with Inter’s permission, spending the last two weeks alone at home following a specific training program.

The Nerazzurri are expecting to return to training on the 4th May, after indications from the Italian government suggested that it would be acceptable on that date. This would allow the league to restart at the end of next month, as the players would require at least three weeks of training to return to match fitness.
