Italian Media Reports Inter Striker Lautaro Martinez Behavior Shows His Head Is In Barcelona

Lautaro Martinez behavior on the pitch suggests he think he already is a Barcelona player according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

According to the report, his lack of lucidity and nervousness suggests that the former Racing Avellanada player is not focused on Inter.

As per the report, it will become clear to Lautaro that Barcelona are unable to satisfy Inter and that the Blaugrana club also have other priorities to him, especially after his buy out clause expires.

The Inter and Argentine national team striker has been heavily linked with a potential switch to Barcelona, who have so far failed to meet Inter’s demands for him, and his performances have suffered as of late as a result of the increased speculation.

Reports have suggested he has already agreed personal terms with the Spanish giants and this report from the Rome based news outlet states that tomorrow, when his €111 million release clause, could be decisive for his future.

The 22-year-old has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.

Nicolo Barella will miss at least Inter’s next match after tests have shown he has sustained a thigh injury, Inter have confirmed via an official statement posted on the official club website.

Barella has been a key player for Antonio Conte’s side this term and is one of the most highly rated midfielders currently plying his trade in Serie A.

Nicolo Barella Could Miss Inter’s Serie A Clash With Hellas Verona This Thursday

Inter may have to do without Nicolo Barella for their upcoming match against Hellas Verona according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Italian national team player was forced to miss yesterday’s 2-1 loss to Bologna at San Siro due to a muscle problem and the same injury could keep him out of Inter’s clash against the Gialloblu at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi on Thursday night.

The former Cagliari player’s condition will be assessed at some point today and his condition will then become a lot clearer.

Barella joined Inter this past Summer in a loan with obligation to buy deal from Cagliari and has been a key player for Antonio Conte’s team this term.

The 23-year-old, who is contracted to Inter until 2023/24, has made 33 appearances across all competitions to date this term. In his time on the park, he has scored three goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

Diego Godin, Roberto Gagliardini & Victor Moses Among 6 Players Inter Will Offload This Summer

Central defender Diego Godin heads the list of six players who Inter will look to move on permanently in the coming months according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Uruguayan veteran is now considered as the last choice central defender in the pecking order and provided there are clubs interested who can take on his big salary, he will be out of the club.

Victor Moses looks set to return to Chelsea once his loan expires due to the arrival of Achraf Hakimi whilst Cristiano Biraghi and Kwadwo Asamoah are two other full backs set to depart the club too.

Roberto Gagliardini and Matias Vecino will also be moved on by the Nerazzurri, who are looking to improve their midfield by signing Brescia’s Sandro Tonali and possibly Barcleona’s Arturo Vidal. Radja Nainggolan being reintegrated also cannot be ruled out.

The report from the Milan based news outlet adds that Sebastiano Esposito will also leave the club but will only leave on loan in order to get more regular first team action.

Inter Treble Hero Wesley Sneijder: “José Mourinho Made His Own Rules & Gave Us Freedom Off The Pitch”

Former Inter forward Wesley Sneijder discussed his time with the Nerazzurri, the management of coach Jose Mourinho and former teammate Mario Balotelli in his autobiography, with excerpts being noted by English tabloid the Daily Mirror.

“Mourinho made his own rules and the players loved that fact. He knew exactly how to manage each of us. He told us, ‘I give you more freedom than you’re used to and in return I have a better team.’

“During the matches he wanted the most from us, but off the pitch we had different freedoms, wine, cigarettes. I’m sure he knew what we were doing.”

The Dutchman also highlighted how the Portuguese coach let the players wear whatever they liked, rather than tying them to wearing a sponsors clothing.

“There was also freedom in choosing our outfits. We had a sponsor who provided us with the elegant clothes, but Mou told us that we were also free not to wear them.

“For him it was important to train hard, concentrate and have fun. So, we all wore overalls or jeans and everyone had a polo shirt in a different colour. It was so much fun, nobody at Inter said anything to Mou.”

He then moved onto detailing a story about Mario Balotelli and Mourinho.

“Mourinho always protected us, but it was better not to make him angry, as Balotelli understood. He was young and thought he understood everything from life.

“In the period when Mou didn’t let him play much, Mario came into my room one night while I was with other players, announcing that he wanted to leave the training camp, ‘The coach doesn’t take me seriously. I want to play more,’ he said.”

Sneijder highlighted how Mourinho punished Balotelli for his outburst, rather than simply forgiving the hotheaded Italian striker.

“Mourinho later told us that Mario would only be welcome again if he apologized to the team and to him. Mario did exactly that and everything seemed to be back in place.

“Only, during the Champions League final, Mou told Mario to warm up for 45 minutes, but in the end, Marco Materazzi came on and he only warmed up for five minutes. But I repeat, Mou had rules of his own.”

Finally, the Dutchman touched on how the Portuguese coach allowed the players to see their family when it was possible, in order to better motivate the squad.

“He did unexpected things. When Maicon had two games suspended, he told him he was a fool and sent him to visit his family in Brazil. He did the same with me, I was alone in Milan and my girlfriend was in Amsterdam.

“When he found out, he told me to take the first flight and visit her for a few days. He told me he wanted me back by Friday and I told him we have a game on Saturday. That’s right. And you’ll give your soul for me on the field. Me and Mou were one.”

Sneijder spent four years of his career with the Nerazzurri, from 2009 to 2013. The player was a key part of the club’s historic Treble winning squad, the same season he helped the Netherlands to the World Cup final.

Italian Journalist Paolo Condo Barcelona’s Interest In Lautaro Martinez: “They’ll Never Pay Inter’s Price”

Italian journalist Paolo Condò discussed Barcelona’s interest in Inter striker Lautaro Martinez in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia yesterday afternoon, after the Nerazzurri’s loss against Bologna.

“Barcelona will never put that kind of money on the table. It’s always a big if because there’s a big mess in Barcelona. The Arthur-Pjanic exchange has uncovered a very difficult budgetary reality.

“I know that the first choice is always Neymar, Messi’s first choice too. The idea that they can also take Lautaro seems rather strange to me.”

Condò revealed that Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola is reportedly keen to return to the Blaugrana immediately, should the current president be dismissed.

“In Barcelona there is a conspiracy that directly concerns the presidency. I’ve been told that behind all this there could also be Guardiola’s desire to return immediately, but he couldn’t do it with this leadership.”

Finally, the Italian journalist highlighted how Lautaro should focus on his time with the Nerazzurri, rather than believing that his dream move might be round around the corner.

“I believe that Lautaro for the moment, as long as there is this situation, is not the first but not even the third choice in their thoughts. It would be important for Lautaro to realize this, he is still young.”

The Blaugrana have been linked with the 22-year-old Lautaro for some time now, and have been in talks with the Nerazzurri regarding the Argentine striker. Lautaro, who is contracted to Inter until 2023, has made 37 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2861 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists, disappointing since the restart of the season, scoring only once in five games.

Ex-Inter Striker Julio Cruz: “Romelu Lukaku Knows How To Find Goals, Lautaro Martinez Can Still Improve”

Former Inter forward Julio Cruz discussed if he prefers Nerazzurri striker Lautaro Martinez or Romelu Lukaku earlier today in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV aired yesterday afternoon.

“They are both very strong. I like Romelu very much, he plays for the team and he knows how to find goals as a striker. Lautaro is a guy who is growing and for me he still has room for improvement. The affection of his team-mates and fans can help him.”

Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku scored the Nerazzurri’s only goal in their disappointing 2-1 loss to Bologna yesterday. The 27-year-old Belgian has made 41 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3376 minutes.

In that time, he has scored 26 goals and provided five assists, being only one goal behind his personal goal scoring record in a single season.

The 22-year-old Lautaro, on the other hand, is currently experiencing a dip in form after Barcelona’s much publicized courtship of the Argentine striker.

The Blaugrana are keen to sign the player but cannot afford to pay his €111 million release clause, and so are planning to sign him later in the summer. Lautaro has made 37 appearances across all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
