Achraf Hakimi’s Agent: “Zinedine Zidane Reason He Left Real Madrid, Antonio Conte Reason He Chose Inter”

Inter right back Achraf Hakimi’s agent Alejandro Camano discussed the 21-year-old Moroccan’s transfer from Real Madrid to the Nerazzurri in an interview with Moroccan media outlet Almountakhab.com earlier today, as reported by PassioneInter.

“Zidane is the reason for Hakimi’s transfer to Inter. I don’t think a return of Hakimi to Real would be appropriate, given the presence of a player like Carvajal, and I’m sure that Hakimi’s future will be bright after taking this step forward.”

Camano then touched on why Hakimi decided to join Inter and how important coach Antonio Conte was in convincing the player.

“Inter coach Antonio Conte was always in touch with Hakimi and talked to him about the club’s future project, so we decided to move to Inter. I believe that when a high-value coach like Conte calls you and insists on contacting you, that’s the proof he wants you.”

Hakimi signed for Inter from Real Madrid earlier this week in a deal worth €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons, after impressing this season whilst on loan with Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old Moroccan right back made 45 appearances across all competitions for the German club, for a total of 3571 minutes. In that time, he scored nine goals and provided ten assists.

Coach Antonio Conte has been keen to strengthen the squad this summer, building on the foundations that he has laid this season. The club are now looking to sign a new left back to strengthen their left wing back position, with Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri the favourite.

Bologna Striker Rodrigo Palacio: “I Deserve To Have Played In A Stronger Inter That I Did”

Former Inter striker and Bologna forward Rodrigo Palacio discussed this afternoon’s league clash between the two clubs and coach Sinisa Mihajlovic in an interview in today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

First, he told a story about Mihajlovic.

“When he came to Verona, it was a surprise but he kept a promise. I had chills. Even that day he taught that will and trust can do so much, almost everything.”

The 38-year-old Argentinian forward discussed how the Bologna coach has reinvested the False-9 role.

“I’m not a centre forward, you know. The first time I tried it, at Inter, it was after Milito was injured. It’s funny, in Sinisa’s game it’s inserted in a dynamic, exchange structure, whereas the classic 9 isn’t always there. Despite this, however, the offensive production is remarkable.”

Palacio touched on the Rossoblu’s 1-0 win over Inter in February 2019.

“Incredible win, Sinisa had just arrived, it was almost unreal. Let’s hope it’s repeatable. Yes, unfortunately I didn’t experience Inter’s best period, I deserved to play in a stronger Inter. I was also the goalkeeper, against Verona, there I was unbeaten.”

Finally, Palacio spoke about his famous braid.

“I started in 2001. It’s over 18. My daughter sometimes says to me, “Dad, still with the braid?” As long as I play, it stays. And when they greet me in town saying “Hi, Trenza”, I love it.”

The 38-year-old Argentine forward spent five years of his career with Inter, from 2012 to 2017. During that period, he made 169 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 11,524 minutes. In that time, he scored 58 goals and provided 31 assists, failing to win a single trophy with the Milanese club.

He joined Bologna in the summer of 2017 on a free transfer and is contracted to the Rossoblu until the end of next season.

Inter Concerned As Lautaro Martinez Has Only Scored Once Since Serie A Restart

Inter are not impressed with Lautaro Martinez’s recent performances and are hoping he will impress against Bologna this afternoon, according to a report from Italian newspaper il Giornale.

The report details how the 22-year-old Argentine striker’s €111 million release clause expires on Tuesday, meaning that it is unlikely that Barcelona will sign the player this summer, despite negotiating with Inter for him for months now.

Lautaro’s head has seemingly been turned by the interest and has only scored one goal in the five games since the restart of the season, disappointing.

Regardless of whether Lautaro stays or leaves, Inter are interested in signing Roma striker Edin Dzeko, the report continues. Coach Antonio Conte wanted to sign the Bosnian last summer but a deal never materialised, but the Lecce born coach still wants an experienced striker for next season.

The 34-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided nine assists in 35 appearances across all competitions so far this season.

Morocco National Team Coach Vahid Halilhodzic: “Achraf Hakimi Has Everything Needed To Shine For Inter”

Vahid Halilhodzic, the coach of the Moroccan national team, discussed the transfer of Achraf Hakimi to Inter from Real Madrid in an interview with Moroccan newspaper Al Arabi Al Jadeed/The New Arab earlier today, as reported by FcInterNews.

“Hakimi has the right characteristics to shine in Italian football with Inter. We’re talking about a young player who has a great future ahead of him and can really grow.

“I’ll be watching his games at Inter carefully, he’s an important player in the Moroccan national team. I hope he can really perform well so he can continue to play with us with high morale.”

The 68-year-old Bosnian coach continued expressing his confidence in the 21-year-old Real Madrid youth product.

“Hakimi is the kind of player who can shine in any league and with any team. Besides being a young man who makes speed in the game his strong point, he is ambitious and plays with enthusiasm, and I think he will give a lot to his new team.”

Hakimi joined Inter earlier this week from Real Madrid in a deal worth €40 million plus €5 million in add-ons, an important investment showing the Suning group’s desire to invest heavily in the Nerazzurri squad to provide coach Antonio Conte with the most competitive squad possible.

The 21-year-old Moroccan right back has impressed this season whilst on loan with German side Borussia Dortmund.

The Real Madrid youth product has made 45 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 3571 minutes. In that time, he has scored nine goals and provided ten assists.

Spanish Media Claims Barcelona Still Confident In Being Able To Sign Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona are still confident they can sign Inter striker Lautaro Martinez later in the summer, according to a report from Spanish newspaper Sport earlier today.

The report details how the Blaugrana are in no hurry to end the talks for the 22-year-old Argentine forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023.

The Catalan side want to continue the talks further after the end of the season, hoping to lower Inter’s demands after the player’s €111 million release clause expires.

The Blaugrana would prefer to offer Inter €65 million plus Junior Firpo or another player in exchange, the report continues. Lautaro has already agreed personal terms with Barcelona and has informed the club that he wants to play for the Spanish club.

The player doesn’t want to publicly discuss his desires as he doesn’t want to put pressure on himself or the team. The 22-year-old has scored 17 goals and provided five assists in 36 games this season.

Antonio Conte To Make 3-4 Changes To Inter Lineup Facing Bologna In The Serie A Today

Inter coach Antonio Conte is not likely to make sweeping changes to the squad for today’s game against Bologna, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri coach will make three or four changes to the squad today, compared to the one that started against Brescia in the mid-week game.

Antonio Candreva, Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku will come in place of Victor Moses, who is out due to muscle fatigue, Borja Valero and Alexis Sanchez. Danilo D’Ambrosio and Ashley Young will also both start, at the expense of Diego Godin and Cristiano Biraghi, the report continues.

Conte is keen to secure a vital three points against Bologna, especially considering that second place Lazio dropped points against Milan yesterday.

Probable Inter lineup (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan De Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Antonio Candreva, Nicolo Barella, Roberto Gagliardini, Ashley Young; Christian Eriksen; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.

Inter Striker Romelu Lukaku Could Break Personal Record For Goals Scored In 1 Season Against Bologna

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has the chance to break his personal goalscoring record for goals scored in 1 season and today’s game against Bologna is a good chance for the Belgian to increase his goal tally, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 27-year-old, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, is fully fit and will start against the Rossoblu this afternoon, after starting the mid-week game against Brescia on the bench.

The former Manchester United striker’s best ever goal tally in a single season was 27, scored at the Red Devils under Jose Mourinho, only two more than he has this season.

Lukaku has scored 25 goals so far this season, and still has nine more league games to score three goals, which would break his record for goals scored in one season, the report continues.

The 27-year-old Belgian striker scored twice against Bologna when the two sides met back in November, and so a repeat performance could see him match his total today.

Inter To Accelerate Negotiations For Brescia’s Sandro Tonali As Juventus Throw In Towel

Inter are trying to accelerate for Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali and are hoping to close out a deal as soon as possible, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are incredibly keen to sign the 20-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to Brescia until 2022, and have already reached personal terms with the player. Juventus have given up in the race to sign Tonali, giving Inter a good chance to secure the Italian’s signature.

Brescia president Massimo Cellino values Tonali at €50 million, the report continues, but Inter refuse to go beyond €35 million. The club would like to formulate the deal similar to how they handled the Nicolo Barella deal with Cagliari, a loan deal with an obligation to buy attached.

Tonali has made 27 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2393 minutes. In that time, he has score one goal and provided five assists.

Lautaro Martinez Set To Start For Inter Ahead Of Alexis Sanchez Against Bologna

Inter coach Antonio Conte will start Lautaro Martinez ahead of Alexis Sanchez in this afternoon’s league clash against Bologna, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 31-year-old Chilean forward, who is currently on loan from Manchester United, impressed against Brescia in the mid-week game, scoring one goal and providing two assists against the Lombard side.

Despite his dominant performance, Conte will start the 22-year-old Lautaro ahead of the former Arsenal man. Conte wants to ensure that there is a good rotation due to the amount of games that are being played, the report continues, and also wants to see if Lautaro can impress against the Rossoblu today.

The next two days are incredibly key for the 22-year-old, as his €111 million release clause will expire next week on Tuesday, giving Barcelona limited time to make the plunge and finalise a deal.

Nerazzurri Wing-Back Kwadwo Asamoah: “My Role At Inter Involves A Lot Of Sacrifice But I Like It”

Inter wing back Kwadwo Asamoah discussed his role in the Nerazzurri squad and his injury troubles in an interview in the Matchday Programme for Inter’s Serie A clash against Bologna today. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.

“A role that I like but also involves a lot of sacrifice. All of us on the team know exactly what to do. Antonio Conte always wants the best from all of us, but above all he prepares us at our best, in the game, but also in training.”

The 31-year-old Ghanaian, who hasn’t made a league appearance since December, then discussed his lack of playing time.

“I miss scoring goals, that yeah. I don’t think about it when I play because my goal is to help the team win games, but I can’t wait to find the joy of scoring. It would be a burst of energy and confidence.”

Asamoah has made 11 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 899 minutes. In that time, he has provided one assist, but has struggled to earn consistent minutes amidst a variety of injuries and a lack of trust placed in him by coach Antonio Conte.

The 31-year-old Ghanaian, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2021, has missed 18 games so far this season due to knee injuries, which forced Conte to look for a replacement in January. Ashley Young joined from Manchester United and has quickly impressed in the role.
