No Surgery Needed For Inter’s Matias Vecino’s Injured Knee, Nicolo Barella Could Be Back For Roma Clash

Matias Vecino will miss Inter’s match tonight against Torino due to the same knee problem that has been giving him trouble for some time now according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Uruguayan national team midfielder has a consultation with Professor Ramon Cugat, who advised him to go with special physiotherapy to help him recover from his injury opposed to going under the knife.

In addition to Vecino, Inter manager Antonio Conte will also have to do without both Nicolo Barella and Stefano Sensi for the match at San Siro.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that there is cautious optimism that Barella may be able to get back on the field for the match with Roma or at the very least be available for selection again.

It is as yet unclear when injury prone Sensi will be able to make a return to action from his latest in a long line of injury set-backs.

Italian Media Report Claims Inter President Steven Zhang Has No Intentions To Sack Antonio Conte

Inter president Steven Zhang does not intend to sack Inter manager Antonio Conte according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

At the end of the season Inter management will sit down with the former Italian national team boss to evaluate things because at the moment everyone’s priority is to finish the season in the best way possible.

Zhang has clear ideas regarding Conte’s future in charge and does not want to sack him as he wants to have stability but in order to go forward together, it will be necessary to discuss where and how much money should be spent on the team in the upcoming transfer window.

The report goes on to state that Inter will only change manager if Conte himself decides to step down but the currently complex situation is certainly not at breaking point and talk of a departure is far away.

Zhang is sure that continuing with Conte at the helm is the best way forward unless there are differences between the parties that are difficult to overcome.

Giuseppe Bergomi: “Inter Must Be Patient, You Can’t Change Everything Every Year”

Legendary former Inter captain Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Bergomi insists that Inter must remain patient and cannot just change everything every year.

Reports in the media have suggested that Inter manager Antonio Conte could be sacked or resign from the club at the end of the season following a series of outbursts after Inter’s recent fixtures, that have certainly not went as well as anyone at the club would have hoped.

“It would be a great surprise if he were to leave Inter. Inter must be patient, you cannot try to change everything every year. Inter have made an important investment by bringing in Conte, he is the leader. You have to build the team around him,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia show Sky Calcio Club earlier on today.

Bergomi went on to reminisce about the Inter sides that he played in and what a difference a signing can make when it comes to a team winning silverware.

“We were good players but then Matthaus came in and raised everyone’s level and we won. Conte has made it clear that it is right to bring in young players but you also need certain other signings. It is equally fair to say that Conte must be the one who raises the level of the players too.”

The 1982 World Cup winner spent the entirety of his playing career with Inter and has made the second most appearances of all time for the club with only current vice president Javier Zanetti having made more than him.

Antonio Conte To Bench Romelu Lukaku In Inter’s Clash With Torino As A Precaution

Inter coach Antonio Conte will keep Romelu Lukaku on the bench, at least from the start, in tonight’s Serie A clash with Torino according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Belgian national team player hurt his back and right thigh in the recent 2-2 draw away to Hellas Verona and has been following a personalised training schedule in the days since the match.

Provided the medical staff raise no concerns prior to the match, Conte would like the 27-year-old to be on the bench against La Granata at San Siro.

Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez therefore appear set to start together in the attack and the report points out that Inter have won each of the two games they have started together in Serie A with the team scoring nine goals in the process. Three came against Sampdoria earlier on this season and six came against Brescia a few matches ago.

Romelu Lukaku Could Feature Tonight Against Torino But Inter Don’t Want To Force Him Back

Inter manager Antonio Conte is still to decide whether to call upon Romelu Lukaku and Victor Moses before tonight’s match against Torino according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Lukaku sustained a back and thigh injury in the recent 2-2 draw with Hellas Verona and has been following a personalised training schedule to help him recover.

The Belgian national team player has more of a possibility than Moses when it comes to featuring, even if there is no desire to force him and potentially aggravate his injuries.

Alexis Sanchez will start in place of the former Manchester United player as he continues his mission to convince the Nerazzurri club to keep a hold of him.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that wing-backs Ashley Young and Antonio Candreva will both also maintain their places in the starting XI.

Italian Media Claims Inter & Juventus Target Federico Chiesa’s Future Far From Fiorentina

Federico Chiesa’s future looks set to be far from Fiorentina according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Relations between Chiesa and the club’s fans have completely broken down following his decision to go up to the cameras and ‘shhh’ after providing the assist for Patrick Cutrone in last night’s 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona.

Fiorentina’s fans did not take kindly to this gesture due to the fact they do not agree with anything being done in half measures and thrive on passion, the report states.

The report goes on to explain that Chiesa must concentrate for the final six Serie A matches and must be careful to not bring any further difficulties to the team, that is currently struggling having won just two of their last 10 matches in the league.

The Italian national team winger has been heavily linked with a move to Inter and Juventus for some time and it now remains to be seen whether or not he stays with Fiorentina or leaves although the latter is looking increasingly more likely.

Chance Of Inter & Juventus Linked Gabriel Jesus Leaving Man City Far Less After Today’s CAS Ruling

The chances of Gabriel Jesus leaving Manchester City are much less after the Court of Arbitration for Sports overturned their Champions League ban according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

The Brazilian striker has been linked with both Inter and Juventus as of late. Inter seemingly identified him as a possible replacement for Barcelona linked Lautaro Martinez whilst Juventus seen him as a possible replacement for Gonzalo Higuain.

TuttoMercatoWeb go on to state that Manchester City could hand the former Palmeiras player a new deal with an annual salary over €7 million and would be unwilling to let him go for anything less than €70 million.

It also adds that between the fee and his first contract, he could cost interested clubs €100 million to sign, which could be out of reach for both Inter and Juventus.

This season the 23-year-old has made 47 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists.

Italian Media Details Contents Of Leaked Email Intended For Inter President Steven Zhang

Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport have published details of a leaked email accidentally sent to all at Inter HQ opposed to being sent to just club President Steven Zhang

The report explains that part of the email concerned players who Inter should move for in the upcoming transfer window.

It is understood that Inter manager Antonio Conte wants a blend of youth and experience added to the squad in the upcoming transfer window.

Inter have already completed a deal to sign Achraf Hakimi from Real Madrid and have their eye on several experienced players, which they hope will help the club to win immediately.

The players mentioned in the email, as per the report, are Tottenham Hotspur central defender Jan Vertonghen, Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal and Roma captain and striker Edin Dzeko.

The report from the Rome based news outlet does however warn that due to revenues lost as a result of the COVID-19 crisis it will be difficult for Inter to have as high a spending transfer window as they did this time last year.

The report also details that in the email Inter manager Antonio Conte has the support of vice president Javier Zanetti and team manager Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali. The duo have always been close to Conte since he took charge and share similar views on a number of the hot topics concerning the club.

A meeting took place this past Saturday where an agreement was reached for everyone to row in the same direction for the time being even if Conte has scolded the likes of Inter chief executives Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Alessandro Antonello and sporting director Piero Ausilio for their mistakes last Summer.

Italian Media Claim Inter Could Sell Skriniar & Brozovic Instead Of Lautaro Martinez To Fund Conte’s Signings

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta could change his strategy when it comes to raising funds for the transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInter1908.it.

Rather than let Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez leave the club, due to the fact Inter manager Antonio Conte wants to keep him for at least another season, Marotta could decide to let Marcelo Brozovic and Milan Skriniar depart the club to raise funds.

Although the Croatian and Slovakian have long been deemed non-transferable, they could well be sacrificed in order to fund the revolution that Conte would like to happen.

Inter will not let the players go cheap though and want their sales to at least equal what they would have otherwise got for Lautaro. Inter want in excess of €100 million for the duo.

This season Brozovic has made 35 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals and provided five assists.

Skriniar has meanwhile made 36 appearances across all competitions, in which he has provided two assists.
