Inter To Return To 3-5-2 Formation For Tonight’s Serie A Clash Against Brescia

Inter will revert to a 3-5-2 system for tonight’s match against Brescia according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have played a 3-4-1-2 system in all four of their games since the football season resumed but will go back to 3-5-2 with Christian Eriksen set to drop to the bench for the match against La Rondinelle.

The system change will be one of many changes that Inter manager Antonio Conte makes for the match against Brescia, who are sitting in the Serie A relegation zone.

Alessandro Bastoni will come into the starting lineup in place of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Ashley Young and Victor Moses will replace Cristiano Biraghi and Antonio Candreva at left wing back and right wing back respectively whilst Borja Valero will come in for Eriksen.

Moreover, the report claims that Romelu Lukaku will start on the bench and will be replaced by Alexis Sanchez in the starting XI.

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Victor Moses, Roberto Gagliardini, Borja Valero, Nicolo Barella, Ashley Young; Alexis Sanchez, Lautaro Martinez.

Italian Media Report PSG’s Edinson Cavani Joining Roma Could Push Edin Dzeko To Inter

Edinson Cavani signing for Roma could pave the way for Edin Dzeko to leave and join Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Cavani is a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and Roma have shown a keen interest in adding him to their ranks although it will not be easy for them to sign the Uruguayan national team player.

The first reason for this is that Cavani’s wage demands are presently out of reach for the Giallorossi club. The second reason is that it would lead to Dzeko departing as Roma could not afford to have both players on their books.

Cavani would replace Dzeko as the club’s highest earner and it is certainly a very complex situation because Cavani has no shortage of interest from elsewhere with him having been linked to many clubs in the Middle East among other sides.

Inter Need Further Talks With Man Utd & Chelsea Over Securing Sanchez & Moses For The Europa League

Inter are to have further dialogue with Premier League outfits Manchester United and Chelsea regarding keeping Alexis Sanchez and Victor Moses for the Europa League according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Inter reached an agreement with the two Premier League clubs to extend the loans of the Chilean and Nigerian until the end of the Serie A season yesterday and the report explains that it will be slightly easier for Inter to extend Moses’ loan for Europa League.

As per the report, Inter have promised Chelsea that they would agree to cut Moses’ loan short if he were to become involved in other transfer negotiations.

As for Sanchez, Manchester United are reluctant to allow the former Barcelona player to be available to Inter for the Europa League as there is a possibility that they could face Inter in the competition at some point.

Real Madrid Receive Criticism In Spain For Selling Achraf Hakimi To Inter

Achraf Hakimi knocked back several other clubs to join Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Moroccan national team player underwent and passed his medical with Inter yesterday and signed a five year contract with the club and now only officially confirmation of his transfer from Real Madrid is missing but is expected to arrive shortly.

Hakimi declined interest from other clubs due to Inter’s courtship and Inter wanted him at the club in order to elevate the level of the club’s ambitions.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to highlight that Real Madrid have come in for some criticism for their decision to sell the highly rated 21-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the best young full backs out there at the moment.

Hakimi, who has spent the past two seasons on loan at Borussia Dortmund, made 45 appearances this past season, in which he scored nine goals and tallied 10 assists.

Italian Media Claims Inter & Bayern Munich Have Not Agreed On Ivan Perisic Loan Extension

Inter and Bayern Munich have not yet reached an agreement to extend the loan of Ivan Perisic until the end of August according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Perisic has spent the past season on loan at the recently crowned Bundesliga champions and as things stand Perisic will be unable to play for them in the latter stages of the Champions League in August unless an agreement over a loan extension is reached between the sides.

The report also goes on to state that the parties are distant when it comes to there being any agreement for Perisic to stay in Bavaria past the end of this campaign.

The 31-year-old has impressed during his spell with the German giants, who he has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date for.

Tonight Could Be The Last Time Brescia’s Sandro Tonali Faces Inter As An Opponent

Tonight could be the last time that Sandro Tonali plays against Inter as an opponent according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter continue to have every intention of signing the highly rated 20-year-old midfielder from La Rondindelle, whose president and owner Massimo Cellino wants €50 million for.

Inter do not want to pay that much for him and would prefer to do a loan with obligation to buy deal worth €35 million for him.

After Achraf Hakimi’s signing is completed, Tonali could well be the next signing that the Nerazzurri complete ahead of the coming season.

Tonali performed well when Inter last met Brescia and it was his performance in that match which encouraged Suning to push harder to sign him.

This season the Italian national team player has made 26 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored one goal and tallied five assists.

Ex-Lazio & Nerazzurri Midfielder Hernanes: “It Went So Well With Inter That Juventus Signed Me”

Former Inter central midfielder Hernanes has shared his belief that his brief spell with the club went well despite initial struggles following his arrival at the club.

The Brazilian, who is currently playing for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A side Sao Paulo, joined Inter in January 2014 from fellow Serie A side Lazio and spent the next 18 months with the club before departing for Inter’s arch rivals Juventus.

“I am sincere, I have never felt any disappointment. In my opinion, it went well with Inter, so much so that I was bought by Juve, otherwise such a club would not have looked at me,” he explained in an interview with Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, which appeared in yesterday’s print edition.

“At the beginning I struggled a bit, but after Mancini’s arrival I unlocked myself, playing as a playmaker I did done really well in the last five months.”

Hernanes proceeded to discuss the race for the Serie A title and named the team who he believes are the favourites to be crowned champions of Italy.

“Juve are the favourites because of the quality of the squad and their winning mentality.”

Next he went on to share who he is rooting for in the race for the title.

“If Lazio were to win, it would be really nice for the whole league, given that Juventus have already won the Scudetto eight times in a row. Lazio have not won the league since 2000 so it would be very nice to win.”

During his stay with the Nerazzurri, Hernanes made a total of 52 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, he scored seven goals and also provided his teammates with 10 assists.

Ex-Barcelona Striker Javier Saviola On Inter’s Lautaro Martinez: “He’s The Striker I Like Best”

Former Barcelona and Argentine national team striker Javier Saviola has sang the praises of Inter and current Albiceleste representative Lautaro Martinez.

The highly rated 22-year-old forward is widely regarded as one of the best young strikers out there at the moment and he has found himself heavily linked with a potential move to Spanish giants Barcelona for some time now.

Recent reports in the media have however suggested that Lautaro will be staying with Inter for the time being with Barcelona unwilling to meet Inter’s demands for him and being limited by newly introduced La Liga rules which limit the amount of spending clubs can do.

“Lautaro is the striker I like best. I love his way of playing and his movements,” Saviola began an interview with Spanish radio station Cadena 3 which was broadcast yesterday afternoon.

“I hope his characteristics can be combined well with expert players, perhaps associated with Messi and be beneficial for the team.”

This season Lautaro, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, has made 34 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, he has scored 17 goals and provided four assists.
