Italian Media Claims Inter Could Go Back In For Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud

Inter could reignite their interest in signing Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri club had shown a keen interest in signing the French national team player in the most recent January transfer window but failed to reach a deal with Chelsea.

In the days following the end of the January transfer window, the Premier League club exercised an option they had to extend Giroud’s contract until the end of next season.

The report claims that Chelsea did not do this due to having plans to keep him but rather to avoid losing him for nothing in the coming months.

It goes on to explain that the former Arsenal man is among Inter manager Antonio Conte’s first choices when it comes to targets for the attack.

This season Giroud has scored four goals in 15 appearances across all competitions to date.

Ivan Perisic Could Return To Inter Unless Bayern Munich Granted ‘A Huge Discount’

Inter risk having Ivan Perisic return unless they give Bayern Munich a big discount according to a report in today’s print edition of German news outlet Sport BILD.

The Croatian national team winger joined the recently crowned Bundesliga champions on a season long loan this past Summer and as part of the deal Bayern Munich secured a €20 million option to buy.

The option has expired and the clubs agreed to hold talks over Perisic’s future at a later date and as things stand Bayern Munich may not sign him outright thus meaning he would return to Inter, who had thought they had seen the last of him.

Inter still want €20 million for Perisic whilst Bayern Munich want him for half of that due to the fact his annual gross wages are in the region of €10-11 million.

Whilst on loan at the Bavaria based club, the former Borussia Dortmund player has made 30 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and tallied nine assists.

UK Tabloid Claims Inter Loanee Alexis Sanchez Poised To Return To Parent Club Man Utd

Inter loanee Alexis Sanchez is set to return to parent club Manchester United next week according to a report from the online edition of British newspaper The Sun.

Inter want the Chilean national team player’s loan deal to be extended to allow him to play in the remaining 10 Serie A matches but the two clubs have failed to come to an agreement over a loan extension.

One of the main reasons behind the failure to reach an agreement is due to the fact that Manchester United do not want Sanchez to be able to play for Inter in the Europa League, where they could potentially meet Inter and be punished by Sanchez.

The report from The Sun goes on to explain that Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to offload Sanchez and his bumper salary of off the club’s wage bill.

Whilst on loan at Inter, the former Barcelona player has scored one goal and tallied four assists in 19 appearances across all competitions to date.

Italian Media Claims Sandro Tonali Has To Answer His Critics With Performance Against Inter

Brescia central midfielder Sandro Tonali will have to answer those who have criticised him in tomorrow night’s match against Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Italian national team midfielder has come in for criticism for some of his performances and has been accused of already thinking about life after Brescia, who he looks set to depart in the coming months.

He has been heavily linked with a move to Inter among many other sides in recent weeks and months and could prove his doubters wrong with a solid showing against his potential next employers at the San Siro.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Brescia will have to do without striker Mario Balotelli.

The former Inter forward is due to miss out on the match against his former employers as a result of a lower back injury sustained in training.

Romelu Lukaku Could Start Inter’s Serie A Match Against Brescia On The Bench

Romelu Lukaku could be granted a rare opportunity to rest for tomorrow’s match at home to Brescia according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Lukaku has played every minute of Inter’s post-Coronavirus lockdown fixtures and he could start the match from the bench which would mean Alexis Sanchez and Lautaro Martinez would form a tandem up top.

The Belgian national team player may not be the only player to come out of the starting lineup for the match against La Rondinelle, who currently sit bottom of the Serie A table.

Ashley Young, Victor Moses, Borja Valero could all also come into the starting lineup in place of Cristiano Biraghi, Antonio Candreva and Roberto Gagliardini respectively.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Diego Godin and Danilo D’Ambrosio are vying it out for the third spot in central defence, the other two spots will be occupied by Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni.

Italian Media Reports Inter Not Playing Like Any Other Team Coached By Antonio Conte

Inter look unrecognisable and are not playing like a team managed by Antonio Conte according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

In Inter’s last 17 games across all competitions, they have managed to record just two clean sheets in total. In the league, Inter have conceded 29 goals in 28 games which is more goals than any of Conte’s Juventus sides conceded.

The mitigating factor is that the post-Coronavirus lockdown matches have had no logic to them. There have been many games played in quick succession, games have been played in the Summer heat and there has also been excessive turnover of players.

The report also goes on to state that Inter’s struggles only highlight their lack of depth and quality available to them off of the bench, even if it was a pair of substitutes who combined for Inter’s winning goal in this past weekend’s 2-1 win over Parma.

Inter Set To Extend Partnership With Car Manufacturer Volvo Italia

There is an agreement in principle between Inter and official car sponsor Volvo Italia regarding an extension to their long standing partnership according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The partnership between Inter and the automobile company began back in 2007 and Volvo have provided cars for players, coaching staff and club management ever since and have done several other things too.

The current contract is set to expire but there is an agreement in principle to extend the partnership although the report from the Rome based news outlet does not give any further detail on the agreement reached.

Earlier on this season, in collaboration with Volvo Italia, Inter inaugurated their new sky boxes at San Siro in the match against Parma as they welcomed cancer patients from Istituto dei Tumori in Milan and the paediatric haematology unit of the Maria Letizia Verga Centre.
