Inter Striker Romelu Lukaku Targeting New Personal Record In Goals Scored In 1 Season

Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is on the brink of setting a personal best for goals scored in a single season, a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport has highlighted.

The 27-year-old has netted 24 goals this term across all competitions and requires just three more goals to match his current personal best of 27 and 4 more goals to set a new record.

Lukaku achieved his current personal best at Manchester United, who he joined Inter from in a club record €65 million deal this past Summer, in the 2017/18 season.

The Belgian national team player has 12 league games left and at least one game in the Europa League to match his personal best and possibly set a new one.

His next opportunity to score comes in the next few hours with Inter due to face Sassuolo at San Siro. In the reverse fixture between the sides back in October, Lukaku netted a brace.

Man Utd Manager Solskjaer: “I Think Alexis Sanchez’s Loan With Inter Will Be Extended”

Ahead of tonight’s Premier League match with Sheffield United, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken on three players currently out on loan elsewhere including Alexis Sanchez, who is on loan at Inter.

Sanchez joined Inter on a season long loan this past Summer from the Red Devils and the Norwegian manager has admitted that he hopes to see the Chilean’s loan extended with Inter as well as Chris Smalling’s loan at Roma and goalkeeper Dean Henderson’s at Sheffield United.

“Will the loans of Henderson, Sanchez and Smalling be extended? I think so but it’s a matter of administration and paperwork. Hopefully everything will work out,” he explained as part of his pre-match press conference.

Should an agreement be reached to extend Sanchez’s loan deal, it could well mean that Inter will have him available for the Europa League in August.

Since his arrival at the Nerazzurri, the former Barcelona and Arsenal attacker has made 17 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totals just over 600 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided three assists.

Man Utd Owned Alexis Sanchez Must Accept Pay Cut If He Wants Permanent Stay At Inter

Alexis Sanchez would have to agree to a pay cut if he wishes to remain with Inter past the end of this season according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Chilean national team attacker is currently on loan at Inter from Premier League side Manchester United, who are paying more than half of his annual €12 million salary.

Antonio Conte and what he wants will be decisive in any decision too and Sanchez has a few months left to convince the Nerazzurri that they should be looking to keep him at the club.

Barcelona Identify Arsenal’s Aubameyang & PSG’s Cavani As Alternatives To Inter’s Lautaro Martinez

Barcelona have identified a couple of alternatives to Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Blaugrana club have been courting the highly rated 22-year-old for some time now but new La Liga regulations relating to how much clubs can invest in transfers have complicated their pursuit of the Argentine national team player.

Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is Barcelona’s first alternative to Lautaro. The Gabonese forward’s contract with his current employers is due to expire at the end of next season and would be far cheaper than Lautaro to sign.

The other alternative that Barcelona have in mind is Paris Saint-Germain’s Edinson Cavani, who will soon become a free agent.

The Uruguayan national team player has always been intrigued by the prospect of playing in Spain and has also been linked with Inter and Atletico Madrid as of late.

The report goes on to explain that Torino currently value the Italian national team player, who is contracted to them until the end of the 2021/22 season at €40 million.

Bayern Munich & Inter In Talks Over Extending Loan Of Croatian Winger Ivan Perisic

Bayern Munich are in talks with Inter over extending Ivan Perisic’s loan deal until the end of the season according to a report from German news outlet Sport BILD.

Perisic joined the recently crowned Bundesliga champions on a season long loan this past Summer and the loan is set to expire in six days time.

Bayern Munich would like to keep a hold of Perisic for the German cup and the remainder of the Champions League, which is due to be played in August.

Bayern Munich obtained an option to sign Perisic outright as part of the loan and this option has since expired.

Despite the option expiring reports suggested the clubs had come to a gentleman’s agreement that they would carry out the deal at a later date however this report claims it is growing increasingly likely that Bayern Munich will not sign him outright.

The main reason for this is the financial impact that the global Coronavirus pandemic has had on the club.

Italian news outlet FCIN1908.it add that Inter hope that Bayern Munich may sign Perisic with prize money they would earn if they are to win the German cup and Champions League in addition to the already won Bundesliga, which would total €19.5 million.

Whilst out on loan at the Bavaria based club, the 31-year-old has made 29 appearances across all competitions to date.

During his time on the park, which totals just under 1500 minutes, the former Borussia Dortmund player has scored six goals and provided eight assists for his teammates.

Inter Decide Against Exercising €12M Option To Sign Chelsea’s Victor Moses Permanently

Inter have decided that they will not take up the option they have to sign Victor Moses on a permanent basis according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Nigerian national team defender joined Inter on a six month loan deal with €12 million option to buy from Premier League side Chelsea back in January and despite Inter still having almost a quarter of the Serie A season to play, they have already made their mind up about Moses.

Inter do not think it would be sensible to invest such a sum in a player who has been on the fringes since his arrival and struggled to break into the team ahead of Antonio Candreva.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter feel it would be better to invest the money they would have spent to keep Moses into a player who could be a starter next season.
