Inter Looking For A Discount From Sassuolo On Stefano Sensi

Inter are looking for a discount from Sassuolo for Italian midfielder Stefano Sensi, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri do appreciate the qualities of the 24-year-old Italian midfielder, who joined last summer on loan from the Neroverdi, but are concerned about his physical condition. The player has suffered from a variety of injuries this season, missing many games due to both a tear in the abductor muscle and a foot injury.

Inter would sign Sensi in the summer, the report continues, but want a discount on his price. Sassuolo want €20-22 million for the 24-year-old, whilst the Nerazzurri would prefer to pay €15 million. It’s likely that his loan will be extended to the 31st August to allow time for the player to shine in the remaining games of the season, although he is currently injured and won’t return until mid-July.

Xian Emmers: “Inter Want To Send Me Out On Loan Again Next Season”

Inter owned midfielder Xian Emmers discussed his disappointing season on loan with Belgian side Waasland-Beveren and his future in an interview with Belgian media outlet Het Belang van Limburg earlier today.

“I started the season with the best expectations, but I played very little. The results were not good and we had to fight, even the coach was replaced. Inter have already made me understand that they would like to loan me out for another season.”

Emmers then discussed how next season will be important for him and the transfer market.

“It will be an important year for me, but for the moment I can’t say much about the various interests. The market is quite calm now because the leagues in many countries are still going on. I don’t care where I’m going to play, I just want to have regular minutes.”

The 20-year-old Belgian defender, who is the son of former professional Marc Emmers, joined Inter in 2015 on a free transfer from the Genk youth system. He developed in Inter’s youth set up and spent time out on loan with fellow Italian side Cremonese. He appeared semi-regularly for them, making 20 appearances across all competitions and providing two goal contributions.

This season Emmers has made nine appearances across all competitions for Waasland-Beveren, for a total of 470 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided one assist, not making an appearance for the club since November. He failed to play a full 90 minutes for the Belgian side.

Danilo D’Ambrosio’s Agent: “We Will Discuss A Contract Renewal With Inter”

Vincenzo Pisacane, the agent of Inter full back Danilo D’Ambrosio, discussed the possibility that the 31-year-old Italian would renew his contract with the Nerazzurri in an interview with Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb earlier today.

“We will talk about it shortly. I have always thought that there is an enormous esteem for Danilo. And I am convinced that there will continue to be. He is a great professional who has made determination his strong point. There won’t be any problems.”

Pisacane then discussed Inter’s big transfer market situation, the case of Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez.

“Inter have one of the best coaches in the world, a winning manager like Marotta and a great sporting director like Ausilio. If Lautaro were to leave, it would be a big loss, but he would be replaced by a good footballer.”

D’Ambrosio has been deployed regularly by coach Antonio Conte this season, being a flexible squad player who can play on either wing or in the back three. The 31-year-old Naples born full back has made 18 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1154 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and helped the squad keep seven clean sheets.

The Italian has struggled for first team appearances in 2020, playing on seven minutes in the league since mid-December, although he has found more playing time in both the Europa League and the Coppa Italia.

Italian Journalist Pedulla: “Juventus Need Sandro Tonali More Than Inter Do”

Italian journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedullà discussed the future of Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, who is wanted by both Juventus and Inter, in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sportitalia Mercato earlier today.

“If Inter closes the deal early, then Tonali would go to Inter. If Inter do not close , then it depends on the market dynamics. In my opinion he’s more important for Juventus than for Inter with the space that he creates.”

He suggested that Inter have to close out the deal soon, else they could be left in a position similar to what happened with Napoli forward Dries Mertens.

“Looking at it in perspective, it’s absurd to say that he is only needed by Inter. Inter have started the hard work, they want to close the deal. If they manage to close the deal good, if not they’ll continue working on it. Negotiations have to be closed, because even Mertens agreed to join Inter once.”

The 20-year-old Italian midfielder, who is contracted to Brescia until 2022, has already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri, now putting the Milanese club in the final stretch of talks. The club just need to reach a final agreement with Brescia, but president Massimo Cellino values the Italian higher than Inter, who want to pay around €30-35 million for his signature.

Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 2130 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and provided five assists.

UK Media Report Man City Slap 70M Price Tag On Inter Linked Gabriel Jesus

Manchester City have no interest in giving Inter a discount on Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, according to a report from English media outlet Manchester Evening News earlier today.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have been interested in signing the 23-year-old Brazilian for some time now, but the Citizens have no interest in selling the player in the upcoming summer transfer window. Despite the presence of Sergio Aguero in the squad, Jesus is considered too important to lose and will be the long-term replacement for the Argentine star.

Manchester City have informed Inter that Jesus would cost no less than €70 million, the report continues, a high figure considering the current financial climate thanks to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. The Nerazzurri could consider making a deal for him should they sell Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona in the summer for €111 million. Jesus has scored 18 goals and provided nine assists in 40 appearances this season.

Inter Coach Antonio Conte: “Not A Lot Of Margin For Error But We Are Confident”

Inter coach Antonio Conte discussed the restart of Serie A and tomorrow’s game against Sampdoria in an interview with Italian broadcaster InterTV.

“There is certainly a great desire to start again. It’s not enough for the players to just train, it’s not the best, we all need official games. So, there’s a lot of desire on our part, we’ve worked so hard to be ready and to do this final set of games in the best possible way.”

The Lecce born coach commented on how the squad have been training both physically and tactically in the lockdown, resulting in new ideas being born.

“We’ve used this period to work from a physical and tactical point of view. From the tactical point of view, we tried to work to try to improve even more and have different options. I think Eriksen has now totally settled into our way of life. We try to find the best moments to bring out all the characteristics of the players in the squad.”

The former Chelsea and Juventus coach touched on the work the squad has done since his arrival 12 months ago.

“I’m happy with the work we’ve done because we’ve implemented the ideas we’ve learned in the previous seven months. Our aim is always to enhance the characteristics of all the players in the squad. We’ve worked well to study and reflect and I’m happy because we’ve worked well and now, we have many options.”

Conte talked about what kind of game he expects tomorrow against Sampdoria, who are currently 16th in the league.

“Every coach tries to predict what kind of game and training he’ll find. Claudio is a great coach, what he did with Leicester is extraordinary, and he’s a great person I’ve had and have the pleasure of knowing. I wish him the best from the next game, after they play against us!”

The Italian discussed the title race and how important a win against Sampdoria will be tomorrow for their title hopes.

“The first thing we have to do is try to win the game against Sampdoria, it would mean going to six points apart and it wouldn’t be an abysmal gap. We’ve worked very well, intensely from both a physical and tactical point of view. We want to play this period of the season to the maximum without setting limits. Clearly our margins of error are smaller than those in front of us, but there’s passion and a lot of work behind us to be able to do well. We’re confident.”

Finally, Conte talked about how it’ll be to play behind closed doors without the fans and his hopes for the future.

“I think they’ll suffer a bit more because it’s inevitable that the lack of fans at the stadium will be felt by all of us and we hope that this pandemic will soon be eradicated and we can return to normal. Football needs the public and we hope we can get our fans back on board as soon as possible.”

The Nerazzurri are nine points behind rivals Juventus in the table, meaning that a win against the Ligurian side is crucial if the Milanese club are to provide strong competition in the title race.
