Will Bayern Munich Loanee Ivan Perisic Return To Inter For Next Season?

Ivan Perisic has blown hot and cold at Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich this season. The Croatia, who moved to the Allianz Arena for a €5 million loan fee last summer, has appeared in 20 Bundesliga games recording four goals and five assists.

While the numbers are decent, Bayern Munich have balked at paying Inter €20m more to make Perisic’s move permanent. Bayern coach Hansi Flick recently reiterated his desire for another wide player leading to speculation that Manchester City’s Leroy Sane is on his way to Munich.

With Bayern Munich interested in other wide players, Perisic could be the odd man out leaving Inter needing to find a new home for the Croatian winger. Inter’s return to Serie A play is around the corner with Sampdoria the first team on tap. The Nerzzaurri are fighting to reel in Juventus and Lazio, and supporters can use the DraftKings promo code to receive a bet bonus before wagering on the team they believe will win at San Siro.

Does Perisic’s Play Warrant A Permanent Contract From Bayern?

Perisic’s contract at Inter extends until 2022 which will make him 33-years-old by the time the deal expires. Valued at £15m by Transfermarkt, Inter would be right to move him on before the value decreases further. Although a reported “gentlemen’s agreement” has been made over the winger, the German giants wouldn’t be wrong for declining their €20m option and seek to invest that money elsewhere.

Inter still have 13 matches to play in Serie A this season and with 39 more points at stake, could reel in Juventus. Supporters can follow Inter’s remaining matches and get a bet bonus for their favourite betting site before the team’s next game. Fans can then use that bonus code to bet on Inter when they return to the pitch.

The on-loan winger averages just 54.3 minutes per Bundesliga fixture at Bayern Munich. Fitness and form have been the key reasons that Perisic’s average league minutes are not higher. He has missed 10 Bundesliga fixtures due to suspension, injury, or simply not being picked; and has gone from a player that couldn’t be benched at Inter into a player that makes cameo appearances at Bayern. Just four times out of 20 appearances has Perisic completed a full 90 minutes.

Inter’s Perisic Options

If Bayern do look elsewhere in the offseason, then what for Inter and Perisic? Conte is not high on Perisic and considers him an unreliable player of Inter’s past. The Croatian has been grouped with Mauro Icardi, Joao Mario, and Radja Nainggolan as a player that Conte cannot or will not work with.

Therefore, Inter’s only option is to sell the winger. They may have to renegotiate the €20m option with Bayern to get him off the books. There is hope that Inter could move Perisic on to a Premier League side. Manchester United have long been rumoured as an admirer, meanwhile Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur is also claimed to be tracking the player.

The price and Perisic’s age, 30-years-old, could be detrimental factors in Inter’s attempts to shift him permanently. The talent is still there but with injuries and form keeping Perisic out of Bayern’s team this season, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur could think twice before splurging on him.

Antonio Conte Tells Inter He Prefers Older Experienced Players Over Younger Players To Win Titles

Inter manager Antonio Conte wants more experienced players and players with experience of winning silverware brought in to improve the team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Whilst this season’s Inter has no shortage of players accustomed to big games, very few of the team actually have any experience of winning trophies.

Barcelona and Chilean national team player Arturo Vidal is a player Conte has wanted for a long time and it is understood that Vidal is no longer so sure about staying with the Blaugrana club but for now Vidal is not a priority for Inter.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that the former Italian national team manager has dictated what he wants to Inter management ahead of the upcoming transfer window and his views were shared by Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta.

Inter Coach Conte To Speak With Barcelona Target Lautaro Martinez To Get Him Back To His Best

Inter manager Antonio Conte will try talk to Lautaro Martinez during the week in a bid to help him get back to his best according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

Since links over a potential move to Barcelona surfaced in the media, there has been a visible decline in the 22-year-old’s performances and his poor run of form is leaving him at risk of losing his place in the Inter starting line-up.

As things stand, Inter and Barcelona have no agreement over the player but many reports have stated that Lautaro has already reached an agreement in principle with Barcelona over a five year contract with an annual salary of €10 million.

Inter have made it clear that they want his €111 million release clause paid or €80-90 million plus at least one player for the Argentine national team forward.

This season Lautaro has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 16 goals and provided four assists for his teammates.

Inter’s Stefan de Vrij: “Conte Is A Great Manager, He Gives Us Passion & A Desire To Win”

Inter central defender Stefan de Vrij has sang the praises of Inter manager Antonio Conte and discussed what his presence does for both himself and his Inter teammates.

“The manager is a great manager. He gives us a lot of passion and desire to win,” he began an interview with sports broadcaster DAZN, earlier on today.

de Vrij, who has a contract with Inter until the end of the 2022/23 season, added: “We play aggressively and we build from the back. He is very focused on tactics and on the details that can make the difference.”

de Vrij has been one of Inter’s most consistent performers throughout the campaign and one of the club’s best players too.

The 28-year-old Dutchman joined Inter on a free transfer in the Summer of 2018 following the expiration of his deal with fellow Serie A side Lazio.

Since his arrival in Milan, the former Feyenoord centre back has made 67 appearances across all competitions to date.

31 of those appearances have come during the course of this season. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2700 minutes, de Vrij has scored two goals and has provided a total of four assists for his teammates.

Brescia President Cellino: “Inter & Juventus Among Clubs That Have Asked Me About Sandro Tonali”

Brescia president and owner Massimo Cellino has confirmed that Inter and Juventus are two of a number of clubs to have asked about highly rated midfielder Sandro Tonali ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

“How much is he worth? The price is determined by supply and demand but so far there has only been a few phone calls without anything further. It is difficult to talk about it after all that has happened,” Cellino remarked during an interview with Italian broadcaster Rai television show ‘La Politica nel Pallone’ earlier on today.

He was then asked specifically about the reported interest in the media from both the Nerazzurri and Bianconeri clubs and confirmed that they are not alone in being interested in signing him.

“Inter and Juve? They have asked me for him, as well as other teams. What is certain is that the player wants to stay in Italy and we will support him.”

In conclusion Cellino admitted he has no interest in receiving any players as part of a deal for Tonali, who is under contract with the club until the end of next season: “I don’t like exchanges and we have not come to beg.”

This season Tonali has made 24 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just over 2100 minutes, he has scored one goal and provided five assists for his teammates.

Inter Not Worried About Stefan de Vrij’s Physical Status Ahead Of Sampdoria Clash

Inter are not worried about Stefan de Vrij, despite the fact he had to come off in this past weekend’s Coppa Italia semi final second leg draw away to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Dutchman had struggled with a muscle problem in the lead up to the game but started at the Stadio San Paolo and lasted almost the entire game. As the full time whistle approached, the Dutchman was substituted due to suspected muscle fatigue.

Although Inter are not worried, the report explains that they will still evaluate his condition ahead of this weekend’s match at home to Sampdoria.

The report from the Milan based news outlet also goes on to state that both Diego Godin and Danilo D’Ambrosio will be recovered for the match at San Siro whilst Matias Vecino is certain to miss out due to a meniscus problem.

Inter & Atalanta Continue Talks Over Future Of Striker Sebastiano Esposito

Contact between Inter and Atalanta over teen sensation Sebastiano Esposito are continuous according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Atalanta are seriously interested in signing the Italian youth national team forward but Inter are reluctant to lose control over the youngster’s future.

The two clubs are in talks trying to find the right formula. Inter want Esposito to get more playing time but do not want to let him leave without having the ability to bring him back to the club, similarly to what they done with Andrea Pinamonti.

Inter let Pinamonti joined Genoa on a season long loan with obligation to buy attached and as part of that deal, the clubs came to a gentleman’s agreement for Inter to sign him back.

This season Esposito has had his first team breakthrough at Inter. He has made 11 first team appearances, in which he has scored a single goal.

Barcelona Coach Setien On Inter Linked Arturo Vidal: “He Is A Necessity In Every Team”

Barcelona manager Quique Setien has stressed the importance of midfielder Arturo Vidal to the team ahead of their next match with Leganes.

“He is a very interesting player. He is a player that is a necessity in every team. He transmits energy and beyond the quality he has, he helps us at all times,” Setien remarked in his pre-match press conference.

Vidal has been strongly linked with a potential move to Inter for several months now with Inter manager Antonio Conte understood to really want to be reunited with the Chilean national team player, who he worked with at Juventus.

With Setien publicly singing the praises of Vidal, it would suggest that he does not want to let the former Bayer Leverkusen player depart the club in the coming months.

Vidal has little over a year left to run on his current contract with the Blaugrana club, who he joined in the Summer of 2018 from Bayern Munich.

This season the 33-year-old has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, which totals just shy of 1500 minutes, he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.
