Italian Media Claim Conte To Change Formation In Coppa Italia Clash Against Napoli

Inter manager Antonio Conte is seriously considering using a 3-4-1-2 system against Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The reason Conte is considering the system change is because he is intrigued by the prospect of playing Christian Eriksen in his natural attacking midfield role.

Eriksen is far better suited to the attacking midfield role than the mezzala role, where Conte has almost exclusively played him since his arrival at the club back in January.

If Conte does not select Eriksen for the attacking midfield role, he could well select Stefano Sensi, who is now back fit again.

The report goes on to explain that there are a lot of doubts with regard to the defence. Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij and Alessandro Bastoni are still dealing with muscle problems.

Godin seems the least likely of the three to recover and the report adds that for the time being Milan Skirniar is the only central defender certain of a place in the team.

The report concludes that Conte is yet to decide whether he will play Antonio Candreva or Victor Moses at right wing back.

No Extra-Time But Straight To Penalty Shootout If Needed In Napoli vs Inter Coppa Italia Clash

There will be no extra time in either Coppa Italia semi final if they are to end in a tie according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

AC Milan and Juventus are due to face off at San Siro on Friday night and Inter are due to play away to Napoli on Saturday night, with both games scheduled to kick off at 9pm CET.

Due to the packed schedules that the teams have ahead of them, there will be no extra time played and if the matches are to end as draws, they will just go straight to a penalty shoot-out to decide the winner.

AC Milan and Juventus are heading into the second leg of their tie drawing 1-1 after the first leg whilst Inter head into the match against Napoli trailing 1-0 from the first leg.

The Coppa Italia final is scheduled to take place in one week’s time and the report from the Milan based news outlet does not specify whether there will be extra time or not if required in the final or if it will just go straight to penalties.

Italian Journalist Fabrizio Biasin: “Inter Not Interested In Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata”

Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has dismissed reports that are currently circulating in the media which have suggested Inter are interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata in the upcoming transfer window.

Reports have emerged in the past week or so that have stated that Morata is the latest player being considered by Inter management as they look to bolster the club’s attacking options in the coming months.

The Spaniard is one of many players reportedly under consideration but Biasin has dismissed the reports and claimed Inter have no interest in the former Juventus forward.

“I report everything that I know on the question, ‘Inter are interested in Morata.’ Inter are not interested in Morata,” Biasin posted on official Twitter account earlier on today.

This season the 27-year-old has made 32 appearances across all competitions to date for Los Colchoneros. In his time on the park, which totals just over 2300 minutes, the two time Champions League winner has scored 12 goals and has provided a total of three assists for his teammates.

British Media Claim Inter Have Still Not Given Up On Signing Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud

Inter, Lazio and Tottenham Hotspur are all still keen on trying to sign Olivier Giroud from Chelsea according to a report from the online edition of British news outlet The Express.

Giroud appeared set to leave Chelsea during the most recent January transfer window with all of the above clubs among others keen to sign him but he opted against departing and has since had his contract with Chelsea expired by another season.

However, the arrivals and potential arrivals at Chelsea will push Giroud down the pecking order at the club and as a result, Inter, Lazio and Spurs are refusing to give up hope on possibly signing him.

The report goes on to explain that Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Lyon are also monitoring Giroud’s situation and it also adds that Chelsea could let him go for a sum of £7 million (approximately €8 million).

This season Giroud has made 13 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored three goals.

Italian Media Report Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin On List Of Players Inter Looking To Sign This Summer

Hector Bellerin is on Inter’s shortlist as they look to strengthen the team in the upcoming transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Spaniard will likely cost in the region of €25-30 million to sign from Premier League side Arsenal and the report goes on to explain that he is not one of the top priorities for Inter at the moment.

Bellerin has been with Arsenal since 2014 and has a contract with the north London based club through to the end of the 2022/23 season.

The 25-year-old, who has three Spanish national team caps to his name, has made 16 appearances across all competitions to date. During his time on the park, he has scored one goal and provided two assists for his teammates.

Italian Media Claim Torino Monitoring Inter Striker Sebastiano Esposito

Torino could make a move for Inter’s Sebastiano Esposito depending on player sales according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Newly appointed Torino director Davide Vagnati has a number of strikers on his shortlist and Esposito is among them although he is currently not a priority given Inter do not want to move him outright and only want to loan him out.

The report goes on to explain that any potential offer will not be made until La Granata trim down their attack and this could well mean that Simone Zaza will depart the club.

Esposito has had his first team breakthrough this term at Inter and is currently in talks with the club over a five year professional contract.

Reports elsewhere in the media have however suggested that there is some distance between Inter’s offer and the 17-year-old sensation’s demands.

This season the Italian youth national team player has made 11 appearances at first team level, in which he has scored a single goal.

Italian Media Claim Selling Sebastiano Esposito To Atalanta Could Help Inter Land Duvan Zapata

Selling Sebastiano Esposito to Atalanta could potentially help Inter to land Duvan Zapata according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

Inter and Atalanta are currently in talks over a deal for the highly rated 17-year-old and the report suggests that Inter will have an option to sign him back from them for an agreed fee for the next five seasons if a deal occurs

Inter manager Antonio Conte is a long term admirer of Zapata and given the possible departure of Lautaro Martinez coupled with the difficulty in bringing in Edinson Cavani, Inter’s interest in Zapata could become more concrete.

The report goes on to suggest that by dealing Esposito to Atalanta, the Bergamo club may well even drop their demands for the Colombian national team striker.

This season the 29-year-old has made 19 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 12 goals and provided seven assists for his teammates in little over 1300 minutes on the field..
