If Lautaro Martinez wants a move to Barcelona he must express his desire to leave Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The Argentine national team striker has been heavily linked with a potential switch to the Spanish giants but has not expressed any form of desire to depart Inter.
Inter do not want to sell him and club management have made that crystal clear in various interviews in recent weeks and months and will only sell him should the 22-year-old ask to leave the club.
He has a €111 million release clause in his current contract with the Nerazzurri club and said clause is due to expire at midnight tonight.
Upon expiration of the clause Inter will have even more control over the player’s future as they will be able to demand above that amount if they wish.
This season the former Racing Club striker has made 37 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored 17 goals and provided five assists for his teammates.
